I really like this post office. I wouldn't keep my PO Box here if I didn't. The staff is always helpful, and Supervisor Kimberly might seem serious at first, but she's truly kind. The only problem right now is all the street work. I can't remember the last time there wasn't construction here. I hope it's finished before the end of the year. There are a couple of USPS offices local to me but this location is the most convenient. The office is medium sized and has all the supplies I need to sent out my items. The staff is incredibly helpful as they provide any information needed to get your mail out. The most recent visit we were to send out some documents overseas. We had international mailing vouchers to use. The staff nor myself never used them but it was all figured out and although some time was taken the transaction went smooth. Apparently a USPS can't print a fuckin label to ship an item. I got told "we don't print for customers" like what a ridiculous statement for a mailing delivery service. I tried calling the location to ask if they print before wasting my time driving over here but seems like they can't answer the phone either. Been having trouble getting packages from Amazon that USPS delivers. Found today the reason why. The postman doesn't want to deliver the package to my door even AFTER we buzz him in to get inside. He actually made me come out and get the package after opening the apt complex gate TWICE. He said "It's policy. I don't have to take your package to your door." I spoke with a rep from the Pacoima branch and he said this is wrong. The rep said, if we open the gate for him, he HAS TO take the package to our door. The mail carriers are beyond lazy that they would rather leave a note stating "no secure location" than actually walk up to your door to leave the package. Disappointed and pissed off. Do not use this post office if you are in a hurry. There is no public parking lot, no drive through mail drop outside, no box drop off inside, and no self-service postage machines. All transactions require getting in line. Prepare to parallel park on the street, blocks away from the building. Employees are all great, but it takes awhile to get to them. read more

This has got to be one of the worst and most neglected post office locations. I get a lot of international packages, and the mail carriers neglect to even approach the door to finish the deliveries requiring signature. They will just randomly flag it "no authorized recipient" and leave a redeliver note, especially when someone is home during their "delivery attempt". No one answers the damn phone at this location either. I've had to deal with a rude gentlemen on the line a few times, very unhelpful. The workers at this post office are slow and incompetent. I usually go to the post office in Burbank, as I live about halfway between Pacoima and Burbank post offices. Let me just say that I am empathetic to the fact that they are very crowded. However, the workers are not good! Especially one woman who would not allow me to leave my PRE-STAMPED box for delivery. I went online and paid for postage to avoid standing in line. All I had to do was drop this box off. She said I needed to stand in the very long line and could NOT leave my pre-stamped box because she had to scan it in. First of all, this is a BOLDFACED LIE. I regularly purchase stamps and pre-paid postage from USPS.com and then leave my packages. I have done this in other states, and post offices in the L.A. area, including the Burbank location where I have left packages and have seen many, many other people leave pre-paid packages. I don't know why the policy of the USPS would randomly be different at this one location? I literally just IGNORED her and went right outside the customer service area and put my box right in the mail slot. I am sorry but when there is a LONG line, you would think that the worker would want people to move through more efficiently. Please avoid this place and take the time to either 1) Go over the the post office on Hollywood Way or 2) The large processing center in Van Nuys. Wow. The only reason I am giving this PO a 5 star review is because of Clerk #12. It is clear she cares and is a true government employee in every way, she appreciates the job, the benefits and the retirement that the people of the United States pay into. I appreciate her, when I asked her to call for back up help she did exactly that be courteously excusing herself from the person she was serving pushed the call button and quickly returned to finish up. Several minutes passed and a grumpy employee came out with keys did not greet the growing line opened the drawer giving the appearance that she indeed was going to offer some relief to the weary elderly waiting and her tired looking co-worker. Well we were all fooled, she went back and forth from one drawer then to the other, offering no service, no smile no apologies. Then quickly disappeared into the back again not to be seen again. I will tell you what Pacoima PO you deserve the bad Yelp! Reviews you get because if the back help is all like the phantom who came out and did absolutely nothing to help the long line at your Pacoima PO today as far as this California resident is concerned- fire them all! I am tired of employees sucking up salaries that don't deserve them. Hire more #12's!!!!! 3 STARS: For staters, I personally haven't ever been inside this post office. I did, however, drop off a package into the blue box outside (because it was a Sunday night and I absolutely needed mail it out). CONS: About 2 weeks have passed since I dropped the package into that blue box, myself and the recipient have been checking the tracking number online and it just shows that the label was printed on the 6th of this month...literally 11 days ago. I guess I could've been smarter than to put an important package into a big blue box sitting outside (that can probably get broken into if someone tried hard enough). My mistake, but the postal service's mistake as well. Why risk causing problems that you're going to have to deal with later? In my opinion they should have a slot that you can put mail into (during closed hours) taking your mail directly into the post office which is locked and most likely secured. PROS: I had to explain the cons first because the good thing about this place is the customer service that I received through the phone. A woman named Lisa helped me try to figure out what was going on with my package. Unfortunately, she was only seeing the same results as I was; the label was printed on the 6th. She informed me that this meant my package was never scanned in as received, which got me thinking that someone may have robbed the blue box, but then again there were no recent reports of this happening. Lucky for me, she was a very nice person. She was helpful in everyday possible and it's not her fault at all that the package is just m.i.a.! She advised me to call and check in with them in a couple days to see if they had any updates because sometimes they can see things that we (the public) can't. Basically, the pro of this experience was Lisa's great customer service and friendly attitude. I really hope this all gets figured out because the package contained an item that I sold online, and she had to pay the shipping. If things don't work out, I hope there's some kind of insurance thing. read more

Complete bullshit , my package was to be picked up from this location, I was unaware about the package pickup, as soon as I asked my mom about my package, she told me that it was never delivered, which was strange, my mom & brother we're home, our community gate wasn't working, so the gate was wide open!!!!! Anyways after a long hour flight, I rushed to the usps store in Pacoima and I was unaware about their hours I was only 10 mins late... I knocked on the door and pleaded if I can have my package, those two employees just laughed at my face and said rude comments which I couldn't hear but the way they were giving each other smirks and eye contact if showed their true colors. I even said that I can fail my whole semester if I don't get this package and they didn't care, I wanted to literally grab them by the shoulder and kick them out of there, they don't deserve this job, there are more nice and qualified people out there who can work at their place, instead of them. This Pacoima post office is a joke. If you have anything important don't have it mailed especially thru this office .. It will get stolen and their famous words " Im sorry don't know what to tell you " not to mention you can't understand them that well they can't speak English very well... I had a special pkg sent to me and it went to Pacoima office they sent it to mission hills post office ! WHY?? I ASKED !! He said it was a error and I will receive today and hung up.. 1st of RUDE like always and 2nd of all I didn't receive today.. Found out it went to Granada Post office.. This is USPS that you have to pay for delivery... Another time my priciptions got stolen said delivers which it wasn't.. My grandfather's check got stolen and depending on weather we might get our mail and not !! Called to complain.. Was told SORRY! they are short handed... And that was it!!! One of the worst and most unreliable Post Office ever. I received packages from amazon, FedEx, and UPs and they always put my package down with care but USPS mailman knocks on my door and just drops it. I have seen it with my own eyes as well. Also if you have a tracking number with them it never comes on the day it shows you. My brother waited almost another month to get just a shirt. They also lost a $250 package of my aunts and they said they couldn't do anything because apparently it was delivered to our house. Has to be one of the worst branch services I've come across. I got a random "Missed you" note in my mailbox that said they couldn't deliver a package (which is weird because they have in the past) and the note read "Final Notice". The problem is I never got an initial notice. How can it automatically go to "Final notice" when it's the first one? I went online and filled out the "redelivery request" form on the USPS website to be delivered today. I also talked with the postman and gave him the paper form filled out for a redelivery. Of course the delivery guy had no clue why it wasn't delivered (he said I probably threw out the initial ones by accident - which is b.s.). Well today no package. I asked the mail delivery guy why it hadn't shown up after I filled out the redelivery request for today (over two days ago) and he basically blamed the office staff and suggested I just drive down there...he said they may have lost it. Are you serious? You're the F@cking United States Post office. The delivery people are clueless and couldn't care less about doing their jobs.
