This postal station has great workers, but poor management. I have been going to this location for months now delivering packages for my business. As I said in the beginning, the workers (Mary, Robert, Wendy and the 2 Filipina ladies) are courteous and have helped me with all of my shipping needs. However, their manager was so rude, I will never go back until that woman is fired! I recently went to there to send out my daily packages. The workers greeted me when they saw me in line. Soon their grinch of a manager came out to see what services everyone in line needed. She came to me and rudely said:"what do you need?" I said, "in here to send my packages." she looked at my bags(10 packages) and told me I couldn't be helped. I told her I was a regular and that no one has ever sent me away for having "too many packages.". She proceeded to tell me to use the automated machine, but I couldn't do that because I had to send media mail and the machine only did standard post. She turned me away and basically told me to buy a scale and take care of postage at home. I was in shock and walked away. That day I went to 3 other stations in San Jose and all the workers I spoke to told me there is no limit to packages! Furthermore, they all knew about this manager at the SUNNYVALE ENCINAL STATION and have all worked under her and left due to her poor managerial and customer service skills. read more

Despite popular belief, the employees here generally do try to go out of their way to assist you, even with the most complicated packaging and shipping problems. My family has to sometimes send gifts and medications to my elderly grandmother in the Middle East, and since the country we send to is a difficult destination we always really appreciate how much the staff try to make our experience less of a headache. The main issue with this location is that it is so severely understaffed that even when you go at an off-peak time, you're almost guaranteed to wait in line for at least 5 to 10 minutes, if not more. On a recent trip to this post office location, I am fact had to wait in line for one hour because one employee had to legally take their break, and so there was only one person helping the line. Another issue is that they don't have enough flat rate and priority boxes around the post office and in the lobby area, whereas most other post offices are usually well stocked in this aspect. I have had to on one occasion drive to the main post office in North Sunnyvale to get a box because they didn't even have any, and it wasn't for Christmas either. I do want to state again that this criticism is solely for the location and its lack of employees and shipping supplies rather than the current employees themselves, who are in fact more friendly and helpful than employees at other post office locations. read more

They made 2 mistakes: 1) Did not check for address forwarding when delivering my package 2) Did not handle a problem well with a wronged customer (myself) Details: Mail man did not verify that I had an address change on file and returned a package back to sender (my friend sent me a present from overseas on my old address, I did mail forwarding a month prior the post office received the package and they confirmed they had it on file). The supervisor did not offer any suggestions, and said she is not responsible and it is no one's fault. Huh? My friend is going to pay second time when retrieving the package because of her employees not checking the information and there was no even single apology. When I asked what could be done to fix the problem she said : "I will not going to entertain this conversation" and hung up on me. read more

It was my first time ever sending a item. Ack to Amazon using the post office, I usually use UPS and their staff are "helpful" not the same in this post office in Fremont ave. in Sunnyvale ca, a employee named VIOLET was not friendly, helpful at all. I asked how to send a package and she said you need to get one of those envelopes and I asked " how much are they" she paused and said" you need to check " then I grabbed one and brought it to the counter and she even moved a finger and said " look at the barcode your price is there" she made feel so stupid and inferior, she could been nicer and much more helpful because it's her job to help consumers in a friendly manner, if she can't be friendly they she should have a different job at the post office, because she is at the front desk and it's the first impression. read more

This is the worst USPS brunch I've ever been to. I try to avoid it at any cause and go somewhere else, even to the private stores which charge more, just not to come here and be annoyed every time. If there was negative star, I would have given them. The situation happened when I tried to send an important document oversea to Taiwan and I chose global express guaranteed. Let me tell you, nothing is guaranteed when you asked them a refund. The destination is New Taipei City which doesn't exist in USPS' system. The clerk, Arlene, just FYI, instructed me to change the address (also I had it in Chinese under the English one just to make sure), and city and the zip code to the old ones matching their system, otherwise they won't ship it. And of course, the shipment was delayed. When asked for refund, the manager Tristan told me there's no refund because you changed it. Wait a second, so his logic is that USPS asked people to changed to wrong address and also punishing them the same time by delaying your important document?! So please note, if you ever want to ship anything using their so called Global Express Guaranteed, remember, especially Taiwan, its guaranteed to delay and not getting to the destination. I did not think that it was possible for this Post Office to get worse! There are ALWAYS long lines and very few clerks working. I just stood in line for 45 minutes and finally left in disgust. I don't know why this Post Office hasn't been inspected. It is filthy dirty, the clerks are rude and I don't know why it hasn't been closed down. Waiting for so long and not being able to have my packages mailed is terrible. read more

Horoble experience... They left me a notice that I can pick up my package at the Post Office. When I got there and ask for it, they weren't able to find my package. So, they took my phone number saying that they will call me as soon as they find it. No one called. Next time when i drove there to remind them about my lost package (apparently nobody wants to pick up the phone) i requested to talk to supervisor on what i was told to stay in line (again!) to make such a request (there were 15 people in line at that point). I wish they change the management at this location ASAP! And do a proper stuff training. 0 stars! read more

I've been coming to this USPS office since my early days at Fremont High School, and I've never been disappointed. I've spent upwards of 30 min waiting at the Berkeley office, and have gotten used to that ordeal. In comparison, this place is a breeze. Friendly staff on call, fast processing, and no hassle. Yes, the lines can come out the door sometimes, but they go through them quickly. I can imagine the drive-in dropoff is also pretty convenient. read more

I've needed to ship things out of this post office a few times now and there always seems to be a long wait at this location. Whenever I go, regardless of the time of day, there's a long line and they seem to be severely understaffed. I would recommend allotting 20-30 minutes if you choose to use this location. read more

It's always sad to see times change. They hate their jobs here and it sucks. I wish they were nicer but the staff is generally unfriendly and impatient. I try to be as polite and friendly as possible but the two people I dealt with today both seemed very angry. I hope things improve for them. I go to this postal office on West Fremont Avenue because it is close to my home. The last three times I have been there, only two postal workers were at the counter, and a VERY long line of people patiently waiting. There are people constantly coming and going at this post office, so you would think that during busy times (such as lunch and afternoon especially), there would be at least 3 or 4 workers to ensure that the line moves efficiently. Not the case with this post office!! There's always an angry customer who leaves the line because he can no longer wait (good for the rest of us in line!) Piece of advice - go to another post office! The U.S. Postal service seems to be dying a slow, painful, death. They are seriously understaffed. Monday, I went through the mail drive through to drop off a package. There are three (3) mailboxes there and they were all so full that mail was coming out of the mouths of each and every one. So understaffed that they cannot empty the mailboxes out front on time. I feel sorry for the people that work there because they are so overworked and do their best. It's a shame. read more

This post office is the worst USPS ever. They are not focusing on their job, and not kind to people. They seems to be angry all the time. I think they are worse than DMV's. More over, I've sent an international letter via this office, but after 20 days, I realized that it had not been delivered. (There must be mistaken by them, but I cannot prove though.) While experiencing with them, one of clerk asked me where I was from. I felt embarrassment and I strongly believe it was inappropriate question to a customer. Typically when I find myself needing to go to the Post Office, it's not to buy stamps, pre-paid boxes, or any of that. I go to the post office just to drop off packages, and when I do, I always wait in line cause I don't want to be THAT guy who cuts the line to do his business. Well sucks for me right... especially if long lines are compounded with slow service. I wish these post offices had a big sign saying DROP OFF PACKAGES HERE. No line and no wait. The service is great to so-so depending on who is serving you. Some of the folks lack customer service skills - no smile, no eye-contact, but perhaps they were having a bad day during the holiday season. Some others are great - efficient and courteous. This post office is poorly managed, and nearly always crowded. Wait times typically take over 30 minutes - and staffing levels at this office are obviously insufficient to take care of the customer load. In addition, the staff at this post office are generally NOT well trained. (Although the employees are friendly, the Personnel at this post office frequently "pawn off" questions to the main post office on Java Drive in Sunnyvale, & refer customers to call the main Post Office branch for answers.) I have rarely seen more than two staff members serving the front service counter, despite long customer lines. (There are typically 2 customer service reps, 3 empty/unused front counter booths, and many customers standing in line frustrated with the long waits.) read more

The ladies at this postal office are extremely rude and have such an attitude that they almost refused to take my package because they didn't like the type of tape I used. I wish I could give zero stars. I rarely ever receive my international packages. The tracking number on one of them said it was at the post office for pick up. When I arrived with the tracking slip to pick up, they searched for about 10 minutes and apologized saying they could not locate it. Horrible. read more

Re-delivery services apparently are no longer available for this location.When I searched online multiple times, a packet I was expecting was not even available for tracking, let alone re-delivery, unlike past deliveries. It looks like the courier had not even bothered to enter my packet tracking in the system. The same packet was being tracked overseas and resulted as not being delivered. When I finally went to pick up the packet at the Fremont post office in person, as I had no other choice, the clerk was not able to provide re-delivery info/updates as to why the service had failed. Apparently the usual courier was on vacation and his substitute cannot read English. Also, one of your couriers (7203752) almost cut me off as I was driving home and was speeding. Not ideal for serving the community, especially in residential areas. read more

I got ripped off here and got inconsistent service. I went here twice to have my wedding invitations (I forgot one invitation at home the first time) hand canceled so that they would not go through the machine and get the ugly black stamp on them. The first time I went, I was charged 21 cents per envelope and they made me buy an extra stamp for each. They also did not hand cancel the envelopes in front of me. The recipients of the invitations verified with me that the invitations did in fact go through the machine as the envelopes had the black machine date stamp. When I went back with the forgotten invitation, a different worker told me that hand cancelation was free. She hand stamped the invitation right in front of me with the red ink and didn't charge. And the recipient verified there was no machine date stamp on the envelope. I therefore got ripped off the first time...and the envelopes went through the machine anyway after all that effort. Update - I went in to complain to the supervisor and they gave me stamps to offset the loss I incurred paying 21 cents per envelope. I am glad they did this but it was a pain for me and wasted time. read more

I frequently go to this post office with my children and I know that alone can sometimes cause complete chaos. However, the employees have always been very kind and helpful to me. I've always been greeted with smiles. They've even stamped my kids hands with their first class stamp. If you make my kids happy then you make me happy! I do wish I could've given a zero star or a minus star! I went in to ask a simple question. The Asian woman who standed in the contour was very rude, impatient and unprofessional. Stepping into the door I was happy, step out I was upset. Apparently at least one of the staff working there hates her job, or her job is just so secure that she doesn't care about customers at all. This is, without a doubt, THE WORST post office branch in the Bay Area (and that's saying a lot). The staff is beyond rude, lazy, and poorly trained. They don't even know their own system, so even if you could get them to look up long enough to actually answer your question (which they won't), it would probably be WRONG! And then they give you the BS "I'm just trying to help you" look. Like hell. You're just trying to half-ass your way through another day, doing as little work as you can possibly get away with, at the slowest pace imaginable. This place lost my package and Augusto the supervisor lied that they were investigating it. I called the day after the package was not delivered and filed a claim. I received a call from the office supervisor name Augusto who assured me that he will investigate and will follow up with me in a couple days. After a couple days with no call, I decided to call back and he told me he was busy and he will look into it over the weekend and call me back. Long story short he strung we along for a few weeks promising he will get back with me . He then finally admitted that he hasn't started looking into it and that it would be difficult to determine the whereabouts of my package because it's been a while since the package was lost. I told him that's why I called the day after the package was lost and have be presistent on getting a status. I told him this issue would have been resolved by just following up with the mail man on the day after the package was delivered. He agreed and did not even appologize for dragging me along. No resolution was presented to me afterwards.The claim that I filed was mystriously resolved and closed with no feedback or a way to contact them. They delivered my package to the wrong address and refuse to accept responsibility for it. Keep referring me to their scanned "delivery" confirmation but I signed up for text messaging alerts and immediately checked for the package when I got the text message. No package in sight. My wife has made re-delivery request on several occasions that always get botched. And the most annoying part of all this is that when you try and calmly explain your issues, they are immediately defensive and will guarantee that the mistake is on your end and could not possibly be their mistake. read more

if i would have another post office close by, i wouldn't go there. Don't get me wrong - i love my mail man. Also, there is one post office worker, who is nice, knowledgeable and fast. The rest of the people working there appeared to be tired, stressed out, and very slow. And if there is anything out of their routine like sticking a stamp on your letter/parcel, they don't want to deal with it and immediately send you to the manager, who is unfriendly, incompetent, and unhelpful. She acts as if you are there to annoy her, and your expectations to get help and solve your problem are unreasonable to say the least. read more

My package "was lost" I was told by USPS it was at the Fremont Post Office. I tried to call for several hours and finally Santosh Sharma picked up and was extremely rude. She asked for my address and immediately said, "we don't deliver to your address, you need to call the Post Office on 209 E Java Street, Sunnyvale, CA, 408-747-0340. I told her USPS and FEDEX both say my package is at her Post Office and she told me they were lying. She told me to call the Java St Post Office and let my frustration out on them, not her. After calling around again, every phone call lead back to the Fremont Ave Post Office. Mrs. Sharma came to the counter and she explained she didn't know where my package was and that I needed to go to the other Post Office on Java St. I told her I was not leaving, she can call for me because I can not getting through and I will not be running around. I was told several times my package was at the Fremont Ave Post Office. Mrs. Sharma did not want to help me, she just kept reiterating that she can't help me. Eventually I told her "I had connections in the post office" and that I would file a complaint with the Post Master. She stepped back from the counter, started pointing her finger and waving it around my personal space saying "all these people are my witness." So I asked her what she was talking about. She asked me to move to the side of the counter and she will "deal" with me over there. Eventually I did receive my package, but the run around and the poor customer service from the STATION MANGER could have all been prevented. I caution you if you go to this post office because you will wait while as they do not have enough clerks at the counter. read more

I never thought I would review a post office, but all the workers here seem so nice! Sure, you wait in line for a bit, but it's the post office -- who would expect lightning speed? Anyway, my lady at the front was super efficient and helpful (she helped me choose which tracking/shipping method was appropriate for my documents), and I'm glad I came to this location!
