If you ever wonder what's wrong with America, look at a prime example of the employees here. I have the displeasure of having this group of incompetence put my mail in the wrong mailbox and lose my packages. And when you ask where said packages may be, you get the run around by the Arthur ( the king of confusion). What kills me is how much these people are paid and how hard they make this job look. To sum it up, these highly paid, confused, noncrap giving people are in charge of handling highly sensitive material daily. I'd trust a 5yr with a loaded gun more. This post office is the most convenient meaning they have everything from boxes to tape etc etc. most of the staff is friendly, however, two days ago I entered and the last helping me was so rude, forceful and embarrassing. She continuously bombarded me with questions and every time I gave her an answer she replied in such sarcastic manner. Unfortunately she ruins it for everyone and I left so upset and made my mailing process HELL. Never do I leave such comments, however I was just too upset. Post Offices are like DMVs for the most part, something we try to avoid due to everyone there being miserable but ultimately must be there for one reason or another. I go out of my way to drive to this location specifically because the staff are some of the friendliest I've ever experienced. I'm surprised by some of the comments that state otherwise, especially the one about Janice. In all of the years I've been coming to this location she's never been anything but kind, professional and accommodating - even to those customers who are irate and rude and deserve nothing less than to be removed. Hopefully one bad apple doesn't spoil the bunch and by that I mean don't let one "agent's" weird experience keep you away from one of the best post offices and staff in Los Angeles. read more

Without a doubt this is one of the slowest post offices I have ever been to. Lines move at a snail's pace regardless of how many people are working, which is usually not enough. If you have another option I would use it. read more

I went to send a package today. While waiting in line couldn't help, but observe what was going on. I was truly appalled by how rude one of the postal workers asian lady with short dark hair was to the elderly client in front of me, she was impatient, disrespectful and gave her an attitude. She did the same thing with another client after her, pretty much yelled at her because she was confused about the money order!!! (She even said where the HELL are u planing on sending this money order to) I couldn't believe my ears. I witnessed terrible customer service, and was pretty shocked by how rude this person was to her customers! The lady who helped me was nice, but they really need sensitivity and customers service training. I will not be using this location again. read more

They open so late and besides that... Ahead of me , there was a girl who was treated really mean by jean's co worker... Almost treating the customer as a child... Then when I spoke with "Jean" another mean person...I asked for my mail which arrived same morning to this location... I she was really mean asking questions... I didn't want to say anything because I wanted everybody behind me hear how this location treats people... Open late , close earlier.. I would give this post office a minus rating, if available. The worst service! I have lost my checks, magazines, etc... It's impossible to call the office to speak with a manager or supervisor. They either do not answer the phone, and if I let it ring long enough, they pick up the phone, and immediately hang up without answering. They have a bad reputation around town and DO NOT care, forget that the parking situation is awful, it's the staff from management down, David, Gary and Betty are GREAT in every way! but the others seem to be just miserable and make sure the customer knows it!!! This Studio City post office has really gone down hill over the past few years. They have mostly all unfriendly and rude cashiers, and a very condescending and incompetent Supervisor. I had a P.O. Box there, and they lost 4 packages that they claimed they delivered. I had to file reports. I used to get other people's mail very often. Also, when shipping out parcels from here, they don't ship them out right away-- you can tell by the tracking info. Stay away if you care about good service and reliable delivery of parcels! read more

I have missing mail and when I talked to the national USPS customer service line they told me they could make a claim for me but it takes 2-3 days to get a response from the local post office since it has to be processed with all other claims. The representative I spoke to said that it would be faster to call the post office directly and ask for my delivery supervisor. He said that I should get an immediate response of what has happened to my mail bc they have all the info on the direct carrier. Versus having to wait 2-3 days which wouldn't be until Wednesday or Thursday since today is Friday. Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days. The post office did not pick up the phone after I attempted to call 3-4 x from two different numbers. Now I'm having to be forced to take time out of my day to go to the post office, wait in line and hope to get some answers from the supervisor that the USPS referenced me to and guaranteed I would be helped immediately with info since they're the local office for my zip code. I am not very pleased and all and very disappointed in the service of this post office because they didn't even have a voicemail set up to leave a message of concern. Missing mail is serious business and stolen mail is a federal crime and can lead to identity theft so imagine my concern! read more

My mail gets stolen. My items were stolen from the package. My checks never reached me and someone cashed them at the bank. I get other people's mail. I am charged for extra postage as they do a lousy job of math in calculating the actual cost. And sometimes my mail gets returned back to me for no reason. read more

Recently I sojourned to the British Virgin Isles for a songwriters retreat and placed my mails on hold for the "lucky" 13 days I would be absent. When I returned and attempted to retrieve my postings, I was told that they were already picked up. I had not, under any circumstances ever, allowed anyone to handle my private belongings other than myself. It was an outrage! The old me would've surely given the postwoman a stern talking to using several 5 letter words and the 8 naughty curses from that Carlin routine, but the new me, the one that spent many nights sleeping on the sand and communed with his artistic soul, simply politely demanded his mail be found. It was after some time and I was relieved, but I will never again trust the post office with my mail. From now on I will have one of my techs pick up my mail each day, bundle it, and UPS it to my single on the day I return. (Artists and techs shouldn't mix business with off hours.) read more

I think this review is long overdue. After this morning, I decided it may be time to put in my two cents regarding their customer service.....or a lack of. This is (unfortunately) my local post office....it's literally walking distance from my house so the few times that I have to visit - I always use the automated machines (highly recommend). The reason for this is because most of the clerks, as mentioned in previous reviews, are super rude here. I get that this is the post office and not a five-star restaurant, but boy - do they make it unpleasant to stop by! This is why I avoid human contact here and do everything I need to do on the machines. This morning I came in around 10:10am to drop off a package using the package drop. It was locked and I was confused so I checked the drop times and the sticker says package drop hours begin at 10am. Ok...so someone hasn't done their job and unlocked it. Another woman walked in to also use the package drop and she and I are just standing there trying to figure out why it isn't unlocked. No employees in sight....so we walk up to the grueling line. Let me say that I'm not about to wait in line for the shortcoming of the post office. The drop should've been unlocked and open to use so I'm not going to wait for seven people ahead of me for something that is their fault. The woman who was also with me just went up to the clerk on the far left and asked if she can leave her package on the counter. I then did the same and told the clerk that the drop is still locked. Literally no acknowledgment. Turns head to make eye contact, and then looks back down at her desk. No peep, no "Ok thank you for letting us know" no "Oh, ok I'm sorry about that". IT IS ALWAYS THE ASIAN WOMAN SITTING AT THE FAR LEFT DESK. The couple of times that I've stood in line, I've gotten her and she is always very rude and unpleasant. I don't think I've ever encountered someone that treats customers like they're making her life worse or like they're an inconvenience. She is very hostile and does not let you leave without a pain free experience. If you have gone to this post office, you know which woman I'm talking about on the far left. USPS should invest in customer service training where they should teach this woman which facial muscles to activate to form a smile. Do yourself a favor and go to the Toluca Lake location. read more

I wish j could leave a great review but unfortunately the incompetence of the employees and postal workers is what's bringing me to do this. I had a package sent to me and it stated I had received it but never saw a thing. Then I had called to ask about my package and the lady said she would ask her supervisor regarding my package. Then I called the next day and she had stated that she had forgotten to ask so she had asked later on that day and stated that they had dropped off the package next door to where I was asked to drop off the package to. Later on yesterday I had a postal service worker come to my job to state that she wasn't working that day so it kind of made her useless as to being there. So I made one final attempt to call today and was told it's not their fault nothing they can do. Before I could even finish my sentence she put me on hold and said she couldn't hear me ? Lmfao Well there goes a Christmas gift that's lost. Thank you for for ruining a one of a kind gift and this holiday. PAULINE is some kind of 'manager' at this outlet but she thinks she's running the Pentagon...to say she takes her job too seriously is a major understatement. I watched her argue/fight with the customer in front of me then she treated me the exact same way, She's one of those who follows every single little rule by the book down to the absolute letter, no exceptions, take no prisoners! If I could giver her no stars i would. The staff there has to be sick of her fighting with everybody all the time. Unfortunately this is the worst Post Office I've ever been to based on parking AND service. I have been a PO Box user for years, both here and at other locations, and this office refused to deliver my properly addressed mail to me for over 6 months. People would send me mail, addressed correctly (and confirmed by the manager as such) and the personnel at this Post Office would not even put it in my box - they would return it to sender as undeliverable (and then the sender would scan me the envelopes to prove that they had tried to send me mail). DO NOT GO HERE. No parking available and they lose your mail. Terrible, terrible service. Drive further away just to go somewhere that actually knows what they're doing. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Waited in line for over an hour and barely moved in line. Incredibly inefficient staff, and most of the self-service machines were broken. It's expected that during this time the post office will be busy, but they should be better prepared with functioning machines, more staff on hand, and ensure that staff who are working are doing so faster than the speed of molasses. Spend the extra money to ship with fed ex or UPS!!! read more
