Every time I've come to this location, I get nothing but rude comments. And not only to myself, but to other customers as well. The man working the window area was very rude today at 1:30pm 9/15/17. He basically did not want to look for my package, and told me to just wait til the next day until sorting. I've had no other problems getting packages from other locations where I have lived in the past. It's unfortunate I have to live by this location now. Wouldn't recommend this place. Zero star from me if I can as they are rude, very unprofessional, always claim its others fault even the supervisor. Fact is they lost my package and had me visited them several times but they never apologized for the inconvenience they caused, nor would they try hard enough to find my missing package. read more

I come here about once a week. I appreciate that the manager - I assume that is him that comes to the line to try and help people or answer questions while they wait. Some of the staff are definitely nicer than others. It's a tough job to interact with customers everyday. read more

Should have told you years ago. Human nature is to let an employer know when something goes wrong. but, with Jimmy Neugent RR 6, it is always right. I believe delivers to us seniors in Foothills of San Marcos, 909 Richland Road, SM 92069. We have about 123 homes here in our little area. I must tell you over and over again that Jimmy always makes sure we receive our mail even if the space number is missing. He gets my mail to me marked "Nona" even if my grandchildren forget to put my house number. He is one amazing, professional and personable individual. We just absolutely love him. And, make no mistake, others do try if Jimmy is not on duty....anything can happen. I've gotten mail addressed to others even when their correct name and number is on the envelope. Mistakes just never seem to happen when Jimmy is on the trail. He always is pleasant and helpful. You should have all Jimmy's working for your p.o. Thank you. read more

Thanks for nothing! I was at the post office this after noon waiting in line, .....holding my postal pickup yellow slip, very visible in my hand, as I was holding nothing else. I waited at the front of the line watching a employee at a window 'closed', fill up the stamp pads with ink. I don't mind the closed window so she could get the work done, but I saw her clearly looking at me. She made eye contact. She saw what I was holding. When I finally went up to an open window the woman said to me in a rude flat voice before I even presented the slip to her that "Parcel pick up is at the double door down the hall. Next." Not only did the woman dismiss me without a further glance sending me off with no better instructions than that, but the other woman clearly could have told me that while I waited! Such a lack of human kindness! Both women need to find new employment, clearly they have no love for their jobs or the people dependent on them! read more

I went to send the international package (two small book) to a friend, so I was trying to find the cheapest way to send it (because, they states the expensive one is over $100 for shipping) and Sara was the person at counter, but she seemed so irritated and annoyed even before she help(?) me. She was so rude and had attitude towards me and I end up asking for manager, who was Vicky. She and Sara acted like friend and did not care my complaint at all or apologize and did not handle professionally. I even hear Sara complaining about me to other co-worker as I am walking out the post office. I just wanted to send a package and I was so sad the post office became to this. I had been to Escondido (Mission Ave) and Carmel Mountain post office recently and I was treated friendly and with courtesy. I am supervisor at hospital, but I always listen to the Patients and family's concern whatever the situation is and try to make them happy as possible. I just can't believe the public service became like this and even the supervisor is not trained. I will never go back to this location. read more

I noticed the negative comments when looking up the phone number for this location and want to respond. We have used this post office for about 17 years and we love it. We get polite and cheerful service and all the help we need. Yes, lines can be long at times and if people opened their eyes they would probably notice that their is a lot of business being transacted other than just purchasing stamps. Yes, a clerk is entitled to a bad day every now and then, and that is a rarity rather than the norm. I would give a zero or negative stars if possible. I have lost all faith in this location and usps as a whole. They lost a very important package. They show it was checked in and ready for pick up from their facility but thats it! Tracking shows nothing.... This was priority. They have zero urgency for finding my package. They wont make any calls to try to find it or contact their shipping centers etc.... The postmaster is never there to help either. They cant even help me fill out an insurance claim in person now i have to deal with this online. This has cost me a lot of money and time. I am extremely dissapointed read more

I noticed another reviewer stating she didn't get items she ordered, including important ones. Today, I am very thankful an honest neighbor stopped by because the key for our package was placed in her mailbox. This package had more than $100 worth of items from a small business, and I would not want them to have to replace it because of USPS error. read more

I always hate going to the post office and feel like I have no idea what I'm doing and the employees are always standing behind the counter helping those in line (understandable) Luckily today a very helpful man named Will greeted me, asked if I needed help, and even though I sort of packed my package wrong (it was ready for drop off but I used the wrong priority mail envelope) he was patient, able to accept it and told me what to do next time I come in. He was so friendly and helpful to not just me but everyone there and checking up on all of us even with it being busy. the trip I was dreading actually turned out quick and easy so thank you Will!! Having an employee just be in the front of the store where everyone first comes in to help you so you're not getting out of line 4 times to fix something can make a minor trip much less frustrating. read more

Post offices are never fun but this place is a life ruiner. Out of the two times I've been here each one of them has set the bar for worst customer experience ever. Unless of course you like being berated about stamps and address labels, or watching other stressed out customers slowly get more anxious to be "helped". Or maybe you just feel like you're having too good of a day, don't forget to stop by the USPS in San Marcos to really give yourself some much needed perspective. read more

I NEVER write negative reviews so congrats to the sm post office for being my first. Unfortunately I have no other choice since I am a resident but I can honestly say I've never had a good experience. Today's was the cherry on top. I went in for a PICKUP. We went, rang the bell (multiple times) waited for a good 10 min. We could see/hear workers in the back listening to music just messing around.after seeing no one was going to help us I went and asked the old lady, blonde curly hair with glasses for help and she said someone will be with us, cool. Waited for another 10 min and nothing. At this point both me & my husband were frustrated so we asked her again if she could help us since we were just picking up. Very rudly she stated she was the only one there so what did we want her to do. Uhmmm maybe help the people that have been there for 20 min for a PICKUP. Yet there we were watching people come in and out get helped. Unbelievable. So I waited in line thinking maybe then she'll help us when another Asian came to the register and the blonde lady told her to go help the two impatient rude people. WHAAAAAAT. So when she finally came to help I asked her if it always takes them 20 min for a pickup & she had the audacity to ask if we rang the bell. UHM YES LIKE 1000x plus we had asked rude blonde lady TWICE to simply call someone. If you don't like your job simple, LEAVE! Or learn to multitask OR find help. read more
