Very rude and unprofessional employees, I believe the names are Paul and Josh. I have requested that Joe return my call, leaving messages for him. We have a UPS driver constantly parking in a red zone, next to a fire hydrant, in a bike lane, next to a crosswalk and truck is encroaching into the lane of traffic causing cars to swerve into the other lane of traffic. Lazy driver, police have asked him not to park there and he refuses to comply. He gets ticketed and tells the cops that he was trained to park in red zones and UPS will pay the fines. Also told they located and would deliver within 2 days now that they know it was still wanted - It has never shown. Service sucks!!! Unbelievably poor delivery service and I vow NEVER to ship anything via UPS ever again!

My parcel was supposed to be delivered four days ago, Friday, I received the UPS notification that it would be delivered by 8:00 PM. By 9:30 PM that notification changed to, "The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible." On Saturday, still not being provided a delivery date, I contacted customer service. After explaining the situation I was transferred to another agent that was supposed to provide me with further information. Instead of an agent, a voice-mail informed me that number was not operational during the weekends. I called back customer service and asked to speak to a manager. After 30 minutes of waiting time I was able to speak to a manager that contacted the facility that initially was supposed to deliver my parcel, while I waited on the phone. I was then informed that my package had not been delivered on a Friday because they had too many packages to deliver and mine did not make it, however my parcel was in the facility and I would receive it by Monday. Today is Monday and not having received any update on the deliver day/time, I contacted the facility directly. I am now informed that my parcel never made it to the truck, although it was scanned there on Friday morning, and at this time is missing. I was given an 800 number to call and start a claim but the voice-mail of the number I was provided stated that all the claims are online. I started an online claim, and called back the UPS facility that lost my parcel to find out how long it will take for my claim to be processed and for me to be reimbursed of the loss: One week for them to receive the claim, one week for the investigation, non-stated time between their investigation period and the time an agent will contact me with the results of the investigation. Who knows how much longer before I see a check? Did I mention that the parcel was an Apple watch and a birthday present that I needed yesterday? I am giving 1 star because I can't post with 0, although I wish I could submit a review with stars in the negative read more

Update: I went to UPS and I want to complement the gentleman that helped me out. They were very fast and helpful and I explained the situation and they didn't understand why my house wasn't found they apologized and got me on my way. Advice if you want your package on time. 1) do not change anything on your package information such as adding a gate code. Fixing your address is fine but adding a gate code will delay your package delivery by a day. They can't alert dispatch for some reason. 2) if you try to pick up your package which helps ups out by picking it up from there facility, they charge you 7$ to pick it up Overall if you help update them with a gate code or anything, they delay your package... I ordered 14 bundles of bamboo. It was a big order but when the truck showed up I don't know we needed to pay for it to be unloaded off the truck. $150. To be exact. The driver was nice. I know I couldn't jump up on the truck & bring it down. So he took his hand truck and unloaded it in our garage. A pallet full, no one told me that was how it had to be brought down to our yard. & more than 4 bundles of bamboo was damaged too. So the UPS driver took pictures and so did I. I live in a newly built community, and the address can be found on Google Maps. UPS San Marcos refused to deliver my package and said that the address was incorrect. I called UPS to explain and to have them reschedule my delivery. The CSR said that my delivery would be rescheduled for the next day and that the customer center in San Marcos, CA would call me in the morning to confirm. I received no call and no delivery. I called UPS again, and the CSR helped me send a message to the customer center in San Marcos, CA and promised that they would call me back in an hour. One hour later, tracking shows that it is now scheduled to send back to the sender. This customer center is a joke. read more

So my package had been attempted for delivery several times but because they always try while I am at work (and it needed a signature), I was never able to get it so I had to pick it up. I was very skeptical at first when driving here because the directions were very obscure and we had to follow the signs once we got to the area we thought was correct. Maps did not help too much. Right at 8pm, a nice security guard opened up the gates to the customer center. You walk into a small area and there was a gentleman there. He was very friendly and found my package quickly. Love the ease of dropping off packages when you missed the cutoff at your local branch. Tons of parking available and the clerk was speedy at getting my packages processed. Costco, which I imagine is a good customer for UPS, promises next day delivery of fresh flowers so that they are not wilted when they arrive. We just learned that delivery 1Z9360XX0318926593 is delayed for a second day. There is no reason given. It has now been in San Marcos for the better part of two days. Today it was loaded on a truck that evidently went nowhere. First UPS promised delivery by 9 o'clock one day. Then, it changed that, to UPS's own benefit to 9 o'clock the next day. Now they are pretending like it just arrived. Thank goodness that Amazon is developing its own nonunion delivery service. UPS is unionized and unions defend mediocrity and performance that they deem good enough even though it is a failed system. We tried to go on UPS's website to gain attention and get these flowers delivered but their "help" system has no real people, just an automated Q&A run around. What is with UPS? Better yet, what happened to the old UPS? The UPS that actually thought CUSTOMER SERVICE was important. Has anyone tried to call and reach an agent lately. In English it was near impossible, I ended up choosing the Spanish option and finally got thru to someone then switched over to an English speaking representative. Now I am on hold for what they say will be upwards of 30 minutes wait time. OK, enough of that. Here is the real issue. The city of Palm Springs changed the name of my street from "Golf Club Drive" to "Lawrence Crossley Road" in some Black Lives Matter moment.. while I am all for equality, this has become a nightmare receiving mail and packages. You would think that a company the size of UPS would update their computer system to accommodate for this change. After all they are in the business of delivering packages. On their App, it said my package was undeliverable, yet it had the exact correct address on it. Instead they send it off to a UPS pickup point (which happened to be closed during business hours). I am frankly fed up with not only UPS, but also for the city of Palm Springs. While I understand the need to be politically correct, there is a lot that goes into changing the name of a street that affects a lot of people. This is highly inconvenient, and unnecessary. UPS does not care when they lose your packages. In most of my situations they have lost more packages than they have delivered. When you call to find your packages they don't even try to find it or figure out what happened they just instantly want you to file a claim to get your money back. I have to predicate this review by saying thay I have never physically been to this location and have only had contact with UPS agents over the phone. However, I have had the most conscientious and consistent outstanding service from my UPS Route Driver, Josh who has been assigned to my 92082 area in Valley Center for about 15 years. And, he drives out of this location. He goes above and beyond to accommodate and troubleshoot issues that are not this local SM Facility's fault that mostly emanate from the "Nationals" or the Evil Empire, Amazon, along with other business entities --- like not transmitting Pickup Orders with Driver Provided Labels or issuing duplicates, etc. He always attempts to contact customer if there's an issue that he can assist with by knocking on door or ringing doorbell and waiting. All my neighbors are great fans of his and his popularity is well deserved! Also, speaking of Amazon related shipping issues, whenever I have called this location in recent years I've had nothing but the most courteous and effective assistance in troubleshooting and unsmarling snafus regarding shipments, pickups etc by Esa (sp?) Julie and Gordon. Even though they are horribly busy at this location, they will take time to help me by patiently taking information and researching the problems while I'm on the phone, the most a which emanate from the buggy and corrupted UPS website --- like wrong addresses or zip codes that have been printed on labels. or bar coated incorrectly, If they can't find the answer out well I'm on the phone, they call back or contact Josh, even while he's on the road to intercept him and do whatever it takes to resolve a problem. Made it a high priority to call me back from dispatch they never did. Plus I don't know how he delivered to my front door if the gate to get to the front door is locked. 3.5 stars for me.... With my recent move, the shipment was sent to the old address. Somehow they knew we had moved and were searching for our new place. So they held onto the box and didn't just leave at the old place. That was helpful. Their distribution center is a bit out of the way for me, not so say that it's out of the way for everyone. Their competition is down the street also in an industrial area, but closer to home. Anyway, easy enough to find. A small door which is marked "customer service" on the corner of the building. Once inside a small area to do business in with a counter big enough to drop off boxes and parcels. Customer service was personable, friendly and helpful. Found my package quick and efficiently. The big hub to pick up packages if you live in Escondido to retrieve a package that needed a signature & couldn't be left on your doorstep- Right down a side street from Sky Zone. When you approach the UPS pick up customer area, continue on Bingham , then a right on Amorlite, continue down a ways & on the right side you'll see a shorter, chain link fence with wheels- park on the street only- Go through the fence (or roll it open) , go to the right to the door that says Customer Care( or something like that). I received an email saying the driver attempted the delivery... no signature required for the package and I have been home all day!!! No yellow receipt of attempted delivery on the door and totally safe to leave it inside the unit ( we have a small gate that separates the street from the entrance ...) the reality is that nobody ever attempted to deliver the package and they lied about it... just ridiculous! UPDATE: talked to the manager after my review, she said they would deliver today (the day after). At 1.30 the driver arrives so as I see him, I go down to help him out (knowing it would be a big package)...and driver says my package is not in the truck and I needed the item by the end of the day!
