I will have to say I have been coming to this location for sometime now, since I grew up in this area, and before there was UPS Stores and other locations to drop off mail, or even pay for things online, this was a good place to drop off your bill, send Christmas cards, and do what is needed to send letters out. Over time this place has shown it's age, but you know something the staff is still friendly, and I am sure they put up with a lot of negative stuff from customers throughout the day. Again, this is a good place to drop off or mail something and since I do from time to time have to do that, this place will get you in and out quickly. Just know that if you some here during a busy time of the year, you will be in one long line, but they do work hard to get you out of that line as fast as possible. read more

Being the closest Post Office to my home, I come here to drop off mail in this nice little drive-thru drop-off right in front of the Post Office. It has a small parking lot, but the times I have been inside to drop off a package, I only had like a 10 minute wait? The employees were nice enough to explain to me some of my shipping options and I left feeling happy and secure about my package being delivered by USPS. read more

I only go to this post office because its close to where I live. Yes it is super tiny. & I agree that you shouldn't go when the kids from Piedmont hills High School are out (Weekdays 2:00PM). I come here about 10 times a year to send packages. The service is good. They are even nice enough to hold a package for someone who forgot their money! * Note that they don't have passport application services. This is my designated post office and I've only gone to two including this! The other location was Jackson and it's no longer open due to budget cuts. I like this location, but it can get really busy. There are usually only 2 clerks working and only once did I see three at one time. Their customer service is good. They're not stuck up and they are always smiling. Don't even bother ringing the doorbell for the pick up window. No one ever opens it! So of course this leaves you to get in line with the crowd. Today, someone actually came out at the main counter and asked if anybody was picking up. Three of us stepped forward. It was fast and efficient! Plenty of public parking. Can get slow during busy hours but it's expected for this is a small office with few workers manning the front desk. Always helpful when I've gone in person. I've shipped a handful of different kinds of packages and the workers have always answerd my questions and concerns with accuracy. This is the closest post office to my parent's house. Never go on weekdays in the early-mid noon, or on weekends a little after lunch time. It gets crowded, and there can be a lot of incompetent drivers in the car park. The staff is always friendly and cordial. I'm always impressed and surprised by how nice they are. I just don't get it. I'm writing this review because the post office supervisor, Ron, who went above and beyond to find my missing package while staying calm, helpful, and professional. I called the post office to find why my package was missing when the tracking number said it was delivered. After getting the tracking number, my name, and phone number, Ron reassured me he will give me a call for updates that night or the next day. I was thinking the carrier had delivered my package to the wrong address or someone had stole my package. I was a bit frustrated. A few hours later, Ron called back and gave a thorough detail why the package was missing. Since they take pictures of every packages leaving their station, the package with my tracking number has a different address and looks too thin to be mine. The sender must have used my tracking number for someone else's package. I was doubting the USPS to find any answer because of past experiences but they amazed me beyond expectations. I am very satisfied with Ron's effort and was relief to hear that they didn't lose my stuff. read more

I don't know why this receives low reviews! I'm an amazon seller and these people have all ways treated me well. I have also watched them ask customers to repack there items to save money and at times that holds up the lines but that is quality customer service. Leah, John, the elderly Chinese lady with the glasses, Fina have been taking care of me for 3 yrs and they are always positive smiling and treating you like family.. This location never redelivers parcels. They deliver once and if no one is there, they leave a parcel notice and they never reattempt to deliver as it says on the notice itself. There is no Final Notice with a date the article will be returned to the sender, and eventually they just send it back to the sender! This is unacceptable and very inconvenient. I've made a complaint on the official USPS site, and hopefully something is done to change this. read more

I always have a quick and nice experience here. Today the gentleman even made me laugh after a quick conversation about situations that have happened in the past with packages. After the transaction of me returning something to a company that I didn't want the product, he giggled and said, "all this and I didn't make any money off you?" I'm actually surprised by the negative reviews on here. Although I can't speak for all, all of my past experiences here have been pretty good. The staff has always been kind and sweet to me and they are always helpful whenever I need to send packages overseas. I don't get riled up over the wait in lines because it usually takes a while to send something via international post. No one has given me attitude or any of the sort, but I suppose I've just been fortunate so far. I'll update my review if anything happens. read more

has anyone had problems with theft/mail tampering ?? Cant really say it's directly related to the post office o Piedmont because it could be further up the process but it's happened to me a few times. Only once was there money ($100) in a card but it was removed and the envelope taped back together. Same thing on another card that had no $$. I've had envelopes torn at the corners so they can be peeked into. When I called the only thing the woman who answered the phone had to say was that she was Sure it wasn't my carrier. The Berryessa branch of the USPS is a relatively small office. It could get crowded at crunch times like tax deadline or Christmas but where can you find a non-crowded these days? The positive thing about this office is that you're dealing with really nice postal workers who despite an overworked schedule and sometimes grumpy customers always maintain a friendly manner and helpful to customers who may need to fill out a special form. What I really appreciate is that this is the only postal office near my home that opens on Saturdays until 2 pm. I hope the USPS retains this office in the future despite cost saving measures. He threw it over the gate 7FT, The package is Mother board in it. I have been a resident on a subcontracted route (Mt. Hamilton) for over 20 years. The post office decides not to deliver my mail saying "moved - left no forwarding address." I could not vote because the post office refused to deliver my ballot materials, and I do not receive my prescriptions from Kaiser, and I do not receive any other maybe important letters. The post office never even sent me a notice stating they were going to stop services. They do continue to deliver to our address to European named persons, so I do not know whether this is a racial bias against foreign spelling names. read more

Terrible customer service here. No one ever smiles. Everyone is always rude and acts as if they are bothered by you, their customers. Many times they would not even follow simple instructions when you place your mail on hold and would do the exact opposite of what you requested. Several times they delivered our mail after our hold period expired when we specified we'd pick up accumulated mail, and vice versa. We don't ever want to see a bunch of accumulated mail on the doorstep considering we've been mail theft victims in the past. I wish these people would care more and have more common sense and professionalism since they work in this type of business where they handle people's sensitive information such as their mail. I have never ever had such HORRIBLE experience with USPS. I lived at 3 other places before and there was never any problem with deliveries whatsoever. With this office there are constant lost packages and misdeliveries. My neighbors are getting my mail and packages, I am getting theirs. Some packages just disappear undelivered. When I report them lost to USPS, I get a call from a guy from this office who claims they were left by the door and stolen. That's it, case closed. Though I am usually at home and never heard someone ringing the door and leaving a package. It has been like that since we moved to the area around 3 years ago and has not improved at all! That is just plain unacceptable! All these delivery people should be fired, because they are not doing their job properly! Pick up time is 6am-8:30am. I got here at 7 and have been ringin the buzzer for someone to come out and help me but it took them literally 25 minutes to coke to the door. Why are we forced to give even one star? Worst post office on the face of the earth. It's not bad enough that my mail carrier loses my packages, mis-delivers my mail, puts OTHER people's mail in my box, delays delivery (sometimes by up to 3 days), chooses not to deliver mail at all on random days (once for 2 days in a row) and refuses to come to anyone's door for a pickup, but the post office itself cannot ever seem to find my packages when I am (yet again) having to drive there to find out what's become of my mail. I've lost count of the packages I've mailed out (I have a mail order business) that are never scanned, which means I have to scramble to find them when my customers check the tracking number and find there's been NO ACTIVITY, the times when I am left a note to go pick up a package (that could easily have been delivered), but for mysterious reasons is never found, only to discover when I get there that the same mail carrier who left a note telling me I had to drive the 16 miles round trip to the post office to get it has put it back on the truck for delivery that morning. There is no place to put packages that are larger than 13 oz for processing if you arrive later than 2 pm. Getting someone to open the mail pick up/drop off door when you knock on it takes bloody forever, even when the posted sign says they're open. A supervisor named Bertha is the rudest, meanest a$$hole I've ever had to deal with. She refused to accept a package I'd marked "Return to Sender" when I hadn't opened it - or even taken it into my house - and basically told me to my face that I was lying and trying to get something for nothing. I was not. She based her conviction that I was lying on the "fact" that any post office issued priority mail flat rate box that someone uses - even if it's an old, beat up box that is obviously being re-used - will ALWAYS have that special pre-printed priority mail packaging tape wrapped around it, and the package I was trying to return didn't. I receive many packages a week, and I know for a fact that half of them don't have that tape on them - it depends on if the post office it originated from took the time to put it on there, or if they had run out, or if the employee even knew it was necessary. Easily half the priority mail flat rate boxes I receive have either no tape or plain, clear packaging tape on them. But that was the reason she gave for treating me like a criminal. This doesn't count the mangled packages I've received (with that stupidest of all claims on the plastic wrap they "cover" the damage with: "We Care!"), the hundreds I've spent in $35 check cancellation fees because the envelopes never reach their destination, the companies I've had to call to beg them to please send me another package of the goods I ordered from them because the original one never showed up, the discrepancy in stories I hear between them and UPS - who claims to have delivered packages to the post office at a specific time on a specific day, only to have the post office claim they never saw it until 2 days later. I have lost money, customers, time, and patience with the incompetency of this place. Even if they did their jobs right, they are still (with one exception - the guy who transferred over from the Lundy office who's nice and very helpful - sorry I don't know your name, dude) the rudest and most inept bunch of gov't employees I've ever, ever had to deal with. I wish to heaven we had another option for sending letters. I will drive 3 times the distance to use any other post office besides this one when I have packages to send out. But since it's MY local office, I'm stuck with it when I'm having packages sent in. read more

Negative 1 star, is actually what I would give this post office. I've had more than one negative experience here but this one topped them all. The clerks are rude and incompetent and the manager's a butt head (I'm being kind). I received a notice for a certified letter so I went BEFORE the 15 days and they couldn't find the letter so they took a copy of my notice and my phone number and said they had to research where it was and would call me! Fast forward three weeks, I went back to follow up because I never received a call. The clerk kept telling me I came in too late and the letter was sent back and they didn't know who sent it and I should've called in. Excuse me.....the clerk said I'd receive a call...she then said that wasn't the protocol. Well, train your people correctly!!!! The clerh then proceeded to argue with me that I should've came in earlier...I did!
