Apparently someone there doesn't know how to read. Clearly has TWO stickers that say "DO NOT BEND"! But it was bent anyway and stuffed in my PO Box! Glad they can read numbers. They got the rite box!

They have good customer service here. Thus far, i have not had a bad experience. They are always nicely stocked with supplies and overall, the place looks clean and neat!

They offer a decent variety of gift cards.

The Salinas Post Office staff is always friendly & very helpful every time we go in there. It's clean & stock is always ample. Thank you all for being so kind.

The mail delivery people the have are complete idiots! I arrived today to find my Bachelors Degree on the road next to my mailbox. My front door is about 8 feet from the mailbox, the lazy person could have easily placed my degree near my door and NOT ON THE ROAD where it could have easily been ran over, stolen or blown away. They also left my mailbox wide open with the red flag up. I have pictures to show what I arrived to. I tried filing a complaint online but there was not a 'Submit' button AFTER filling out the form.(How convenient). This not the first issue I've had with this post office, they are the absolute worst!

These two guys are like post office Heros. They always have the best attitude and help with any and everything.

I had a very disappointing experience with the UPS Store in Salinas due to a lack of knowledge…read moreabout the shipping services they offer. The day before my trip from California to Pennsylvania, I called to confirm that I could drop off my live leopard gecko for overnight shipping. According to UPS policies, certain live animals, including non-venomous reptiles, can be shipped through approved services. I had already purchased the shipping label, had the proper packaging, and had documentation from the reptile shipping company confirming that the shipment was authorized. My main interaction was with the manager at this location. He repeatedly told me that the shipment could not be accepted and insisted it was a USPS shipment, not UPS. I explained multiple times that it was a UPS label and shipment, but he continued to tell me otherwise. The way the conversation was handled made me feel like I was being dismissed rather than listened to. I also called the other Salinas UPS Store location for a second opinion and was simply told they would not accept it. Because I was told the shipment would be refused, I had to contact the reptile shipping company directly. Thankfully, they were extremely helpful and arranged for someone to pick up my gecko from my home. Unfortunately, the pickup didn't occur until around 6:00 PM, after the cutoff time for overnight shipping, causing an unnecessary delay and additional stress right before my cross-country trip. Fortunately, the next day, while I was already in Pennsylvania, the shipment was picked up on time and my leopard gecko arrived healthy and safe. This entire situation could have been avoided if the staff were properly informed about approved live animal shipments through UPS. I am grateful to the reptile shipping company for stepping in and resolving the issue, but I was very disappointed by the misinformation I received from this UPS Store. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Accepted and Prohibited Live Animals This is a comprehensive list of live animals accepted for transportation. The shipment was properly packaged, had a UPS label, and was authorized through a reptile shipping service that specializes in legal live animal shipments. Unfortunately, the employee I spoke with immediately told me they would not accept the shipment. The conversation was very brief, and there didn't seem to be any effort to verify the shipping requirements or policies before giving me that answer. Because both Salinas UPS Store locations told me they would not accept the package, I had to make last-minute alternative arrangements through the reptile shipping company. Thankfully, they were able to help, and my gecko ultimately arrived safely and healthy in Pennsylvania. I understand that live animal shipments are not common, but I would encourage staff to become more familiar with UPS-approved shipping services and policies so customers can receive accurate information. I researched online if they are required to provide receipts and yes, the post office is required to provide one if you request it. It does not matter how many packages you have. Online it says, that if a post office staff person says they will not provide you with one then ask to speak to her supervisor. It is within your rights to get a receipt. But it seems this post office does not like to provide receipts, why is that? I wrote directly to the US Post Office headquarters in regards to this issue as it is concerning to me. I know my rights but this is my neighborhood post office. I just want the staff to follow the law and not find excuses.

The girl with black hair and glasses was rude last week when I was in and then rude again today when I came back. I let her know I won't be coming back because I don't like how rude she is when she talks to me and she replied "ok byyye". I would write our whole encounter but it doesn't matter, point is, don't go here if you want to be treated with respect and friendliness. I made sure to file a complaint after this encounter.
