Unreliable, never answer their phone, complain about doing scheduled pickups or don't bother showing up at all. Customer service is basically nonexistent because it's impossible to get a hold of anyone. If you go in person to get help, they tell you they can't do anything. Ridiculous! The two stars are for when they manage to actually do their jobs. read more

Jim was great! He helped me get through all of the passport paperwork, while cross training a new team member, while coordinate 5 other applicants at the same time. He was great! If you are new to getting a passport like I was go here. I was actually in a good mood after dealing with a public employee! read more

I was one of the lucky set of parents/guardians who got to renew their child's passport on the morning of 11/25. Others were not so lucky and I sympathize with them. In any case, I wanted to thank the USPS staff for deftly managing the situation, as it is (with frustrated parents/guardians to start the day/thanksgiving week off). The staff were trying to help and accommodate everyone, under the trying circumstances. And I just wanted to share how grateful I am and express my appreciation and gratitude. read more

Jim and the team were just as solid as everyone before has mentioned. I went in on Friday and didn't have a copy of my birth certificate, so Jim told me where to get one and squeezed me in on Monday as the office opened. I was in and out in 15 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. read more

I typically go to this post office to mail packages in the middle of the day during the week = no wait! The staff do their job but they aren't particularly happy to see you. It's clean, they have a stamp machine at the front and there's a passport office. What more can you ask for? read more

Veterans work here so that's a plus in my book but I absolutely HATE when this post office is on my errands route. Normally I head over to the one located off of Gattis School Rd. and Deer Creek (right near the 45 toll) but if I've got business off of 35, then I go here. It's small; there are no counters to lean on while waiting in line (the one on Deer Creek has this so while you wait in line you can fill your paperwork out) so usually my back is on FIRE by the time I get up to the counter a century later - because they are slooow here. Not that I really think it's ever the people working behind the counter's fault. I mean, they have to offer the same services to everyone. It's usually the customers who have never seemed to have stepped foot in a post office before that hold everyone up. Overall though, at least they're friendly here. read more

Great service, no line, Thursday at 10:50. Not sure why all the bad reviews. Fast and accurate.

Round Rock lost my package AGAIN. The carriers going to Henderson Path are lazy and won't bring an oversized package to the front door. Instead they hide it and then say it was delivered! Losers. read more

I went 3 weeks back for Passport service. Jim was great! He is a true example of multi task employee! This is the first time in my life that I have seen a Goverment Employee working so hard. Great work Jim!!! read more

A very gun-unfriendly post office in gun-friendly Texas. Attempted to mail a very common lawfully owned semi-automatic rifle back home to myself in California. Everything I was attempting to do was well within the limits of USPS and ATF shipping policies. The clerk and management refused to accept the package citing misinterpreted and non-existent gun laws. Clerk: Is this is bolt action hunting rifle? The bolt has to be removed. (Not an unreasonable request but also not a requirement by anyone's definition. "Unloaded" is about as far as the law goes...) Me: Nope. Semi-auto... I can remove the bolt if necessary... (Which would turn the gun into an expensive club) Clerk: It's an AR-15 right? Gotta mail it from a dealer. (Still incorrect. Although beside the point, at the very least I should be allowed to mail it TO a dealer in my home state if I can't mail it to myself.) Me: It's an AK.... Clerk (bug eyed): An AK?? (Apparently AK-47's have twice the frightening power over an AR-15. You AR fanboys take note: AK's have TWICE the frightening power! At HALF the price!) After escalating the issue to the manager, the most acceptable response he gave me was "we just can't risk it." I wholeheartedly accept the fact that a business has every right to refuse service to a customer for any reason. This was a perfectly valid and acceptable reason. However, citing non-existent and misinterpreted interstate firearms shipping policies is definitely not one of them. In the words of Ice Cube (from his hit single 'Bad Day at the Post Office' from his classic album "Mailroom Gangsta"): They didn't let me ship my AK; I gotta say it was a bad day read more

At double creek they want you to call for an appointment. Getting through the forever engaged tone is another matter. So we go to bluebonnet, you need to get your photos handy apparently their photo option is out for several months and it's not getting fixed anytime soon. Waiting and watching for an hour the attitude and the tiresome working of this 'powerful lady' we decide to look up another location at speedway. The gentleman (sorry didnt get his name) there has a nice demeanor. There were 2 ahead of us for passport and few general mailing customers and we were out of there in 30 mins - this is efficiency! Bottom line - never attempt bluebonnet and if can wait to call for an appointment - doublecreek. Speedway is the best option! read more

Dear all postal workers involved with this location(Austin, Waco too) Thank you for creating problems with bills and mailings whether incoming or outgoing. Because of carelessness I have had outgoing mail not be received in the amount of time that it should have been which caused late fees to occur on my account(s) -- I wish someone could pay these since it is not my fault people in the USPS are so careless read more

Marcus was super helpful and pulled me out of the long line to help me mail my packages quickly. Passport office is closed Feb 6-17 though. Not sure why. read more

I am lucky today, I went to the post office just wanted to make sure that I know the location and be ready for the Monday appointment. That gentleman was so nice; he checked my US passport application and said is done; in 5 minutes, he took care of everything for me and cancel the Monday appointment to make room for others. Excellent time management and service. read more

Maybe someone should post that the passport office is closed at this location online "until further notice" before driving out here.

I've been to multiple usps locations, but this one is usually very fast and the people behind the counter are helpful. They don't have the "please kill me now" attitude a lot of workers at other usps locations have. The 2 or 3 times I've had to go in, wait was generally short. read more

Absolute worst post office experience ever. This is why FEDEX is booming and the USPS is headed for history. RUDE, lazy and they have to be prompted to do anything extra, like check their second tracking system for a tracking number. Why FEDEX would turn a package over to this team is beyond me, but they do. One star is generous. read more

I bet when the post offices finally do close, these workers will be the ones whining about losing their jobs. Honestly, if any business treated their customers and ran their business so poorly, they would have gone out of existence long ago. Postal workers need to realize that their laissez faire attitude is going to lead to the demise of the very business that keeps them employed. Newsflash: FEDEX and UPS exist because you guys do such a terrible job. If you would adjust your attitude and efficiency, you would stay in existence. read more

This office has walk in for passport application. Bill who was the clerk at the time, knew his stuff and had me in and out fast. I give this my highest recommendation. read more

Even when you have all your paperwork & documents ready, applying for a passport can be stressful. Having someone snap at you during the process is not helpful. When I didn't understand the need for an additional form for a lost passport from 40 years ago, the P.O. employee scolded me loudly, rapidly. When it came time to take my picture, I was nearly in tears. The fact that she told me to have a great day twice at the end of the ordeal did not help. read more

Worst location I've been too! I moved to round rock 1 mos ago and unfortunately this is the location that corresponds to my area so I went in to get keys to my mail box they advised me they would have to re-key my box and I would have access to my box within 7-14 days well it's now been 30 days and still don't have access to it! Angela said it would get done the 3rd week when it wasn't done I called and spoke to the manager Jose which said it was his fault because they've been understaffed and said it would get done the following week..... well I'm still sitting here without access to it and every time I call to try to talk to someone they place me on hold and never pick up the phone!!!! I'm actually on hold right now waiting for Jose to pick up the phone probably just to give me another false date of when it'll get done!!! Been on hold waiting for him to pick up for 45 minutes now!!!!!!!! This location really needs to get it together how is it my fault your understaffed?! Hire more people and quit giving me false dates!!!!!!!!!!! AND PICK UP THE DAMN PHONE!!!!!!! read more

I use to frequent the US Post Office in Pflugerville before we moved further East. I'm finding that I use the US Post Office in Round Rock more often due to the friendliness and quickness of the staff. The people who work are very nice and seem happy to help. read more

So I had a package that was apparently going back to the vendor due to "Undeliverable as Addressed"? I find this funny since I order from this site at least 2-4 times a month and I just am receiving a package today from the same company per the tracking info. I tried to call the office to have them hold it so that I can pick it up after work instead of sending it back to the vendor but as luck would have it the phone has the busy signal since 10 am. It is now 2:35 pm and I have been trying like a mad women redialing like every 20 minutes. Has this PO just taken the phone off the hook? I really can't fathom that they are on the phone that long without any breaks. If so, shame on them. They need more support. This is not the first time that this PO has lost a package nor will it be the last I'm sure. I try to keep this in perspective that the deliveries that are made far outweigh the un-deliverables but dang it they really need to pick up that phone because there is no other way to contact them without going down there in person! Now I will have to deal with the returning and the crediting etc..... read more

We took the time to go early to the post office to sign up for a spot to process our sons passports at a specific time. We get there a couple of minutes early and wait 5 minutes for our time slot. My husband asks if she's running late, and the lady says she had no idea she hasn't checked. She then proceeds to take the person standing in front of us, even though she says she's in no hurry, and didn't even check the sign up list. When we question her she ignores us. My son is taking time off of work for this and we were in a hurry. The person running the passport operation is extremely Rude and very incompetent. read more

Went there to take my daughter's passport and I was told that I should come back the following day at 4:30 am to guarantee my place in line b/c they only do 22 passport a day. This is ridiculous! read more

Extremely frustrated. I am trying to get a passport and you have to make an appointment which is understandable, but no one answers the phone. So you have to drive over early in the morning when you have other obligations just to find a sign saying that the services were all booked already. Probably because they only do 25 people a day. In a city this size, trying to get an appointment is ridiculous. You cant plan ahead because there is no way to sign up for an appointment ahead of time (i.e. A few days ahead). read more

I almost hesitate to leave this review; however, if I ever need anything passport related again, I will not use this location. Shirley is unpleasant and rude. She was rude when I called to make the appointment and I prayed for three days that she wouldn't be the one to process us. She was, it was horrible. I was very upset when we left this place. I called the State Department and clarified the documents I needed to bring (due to adoption, I have had three last names). Shirley rolled her eyes at me because I didn't have xeroxed copies of my certified copies of documents, snorted at my adoption paperwork and made a xerox of that and refused to take the certified copy of my marriage license (State Department stated that if you change your name for any reason, bring the supporting document that confirms it). THEN, she told me my eyes are too squinty and the photo probably isn't right AND I don't look like my driver's license photo. Well, of course not. See that pink shirt in the driver's license photo? That's a grape colored sweater that I still have. I bit my tongue, as she is "the passport woman" and I didn't want to anger her; however, do not expect a pleasant visit when you go to this place. Jim sounds fantastic but Jim may have moved on to bigger and better things by this point. Shirley is just mean. Other words describing her probably wouldn't make it through the Yelp filters..... read more

What can I say...probably not enough when it comes to the passport agent Jim. He was the most patient, courteous, helpful and to top it off funny. He handles pressure as if it doesn't exist and no sh#%...with a smile to boot! Thank you so much Jim I need to be more like you dude!!!! Not only was the appointment time botched the line was full and he still made time for my wife, son and myself and straightened everything out. Dude you're a pro!!!! Thanks. read more

Jim and his staff definitely live up to their 5 star rating. He was very patient and answered all of our questions with "real" answers. It took only 1 day for an appointment but was well worth it! Even though you do not need an appointment at the Braker Ln. location, I would not recommend going there because you will not get that same level of customer service. read more

Worst Post Office ever. Very rude and disorganized. Ordered a part from Sears Parts Direct and UPS redirected the delivery to this post office for yet a later delivery. Called Sears to get tracking to pick up instead and this post office of course could not find the package. Been using this post office for 10-plus years, and have never had a bad experience. Staff is unfailingly polite, patient and helpful. I have not used their passport service, but the line there does not seem long, especially compared to big city post offices with which I am familiar. And my mail has always been delivered to my home in a timely fashion. Good folks, good job! read more

I had a bad experience with passport processing. You can't get an appointment via the online app except for during some very limited hours. That's very poor to begin with. So, I queued at 6:30 AM. 10 minutes after opening time, the manager indicated an emergency prevented the office from opening. Now, there are people hard at work at this office very early in the morning (you can hear them). Unless this emergency happened exactly at 8:00 AM, someone should have been able to tell the people waiting in line that it wouldn't happen that day, to avoid hours wasted. Moreover, having a backup person among the many working at the office who can fill in when emergencies occur would improve service. Single point of failure not good. Manager was polite, but the planning and execution were lacking. read more

First I did schedule pick up package with usps . But post man didn't come and I went I did ownself drop off in post office . Tomorrow post man came knocking door , I said him ," oh my god why you coming today I did yesterday schedule?"he said me : "that's ok"!!! I expect he said " I m sorry for my late !!!.......oh.....and then I check my tracking number but it's doesn't work. I went to post office double creek drive , an old man and women behind the door into a room , couldn't find my package with my tracking number, They really lost my return package that I did drop off , oh my god , and the women very rude talked me and said we didn't see your package, like same she said me I m liar !? . Really unprofessional people have jobs in this office. I am really sorry I should say the official post united state are very very irresponsible about packages and talking bad with costumers. I think they thief the packages. I like just work with ups and FedEx. Unfortunately I had label return shipping eBay. eBay should change policy with usps return. read more

Very rude customer service. Don't waste your time. They even did not want to give any explanation about passport application. So rude...

I want to commend Jim who works the Passport office at this location. This man is the most patient, compassionate, understanding person I know...in any business much less the USPS!! I was there in the mid afternoon and even as his day was almost ending his customer service never waivered whether it was to patiently manage a customer who didn't have an appointment; console someone who was frantic about not having all that she needed to get her passport processed with a deadline looming, etc. He was efficient, multitasking as best as possible and clearly the best I've seen from MANY service industries. This guy deserves a gold medal for all he had to contend with even in the short time that I observed him handle 5 or so customers--of which none of their problems were his! read more

I needed to get a passport for my son and I and we were able to make an appointment for the next week with no trouble. My family of 5 had an appointment just last week at the Round Rock Passport Office, and was pleasantly surprised. I had read some horrible reviews and was sure that I was going to receive terrible customer service. I will admit that getting an appointment by phone was HARD. I had to call every 5 minutes for 40 minutes straight before I got through to a live person and could make an appointment. Ms.Shirley was working the desk and proved to be helpful and efficient. We had brought "copies" of our birth certificates, but they needed the "originals", so be prepared! We had to run over to our safe deposit box at the bank to get our documents, and Ms.Shirley was nice enough to allow us to do that. It was near closing time for her, but she took the time to help us complete our applications, which she didn't have to do. Thanks Ms.Shirley!! You're awesome. read more
