A few individuals have left negative comments regarding their fees being higher than those at the Post Office; however, we all must remember that we get what we pay for. The Mail Drop offers the convenience of avoiding heavy traffic congestion, long lines, and impatient crowds that often accompany visits to the post office. By choosing The Mail Drop, you can complete your mailing tasks efficiently and with minimal hassle, leaving in a good mood. We all have choices, and I choose the easy and peaceful convenience of doing business at The Mail Drop instead of the USPS, especially whennim able to compare and choose which shipping service is best for my needs. Thanks to the new owners for opening this outstanding, first-class store where all my mailing needs--such as shipping, mailing supplies, and package handling--are effortlessly met. Additionally, I appreciate the variety of U-Haul trucks available in different sizes, ensuring I have the right vehicle for my needs. Also, many thanks to the friendly and handsome man always ready to notarize my documents quickly and accurately without needing an appointment. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that having the mailbox rentals offered at such affordable rates, makes life so much more convenient and cost-effective for me. Keep up the excellent level of customer service you provide, as it truly makes a positive difference.

I definitely feel that the staff needs more training, particularly when it comes to customer…read moreservice, problem-solving, organization, and managing the flow of customers. There were three employees working, but only one person was actively assisting customers. The other two employees were simply watching as more and more people continued to walk in instead of stepping in to help or even acknowledge the customers waiting. At the very least, they could have said something as simple as, "Hello, welcome! We'll be right with you." Instead, there was a very long line with little to no communication or direction. Many of the customers were simply dropping off packages, including USPS drop-offs, which could have been handled very quickly. A simple announcement such as, "If you're here for a USPS drop-off, you can leave it here," or asking someone, "Are you here to drop off a package? We'll be with you in just a moment," would have made a huge difference and helped move the line along. The whole situation felt extremely disorganized. Customers were not being directed, the staff seemed unsure about how to handle different situations, and there was very little problem-solving or communication. In my particular case, I was denied a service that I know is offered at UPS Stores. I worked at and managed a UPS Store location for more than nine years, so I am very familiar with UPS Store services and shipping procedures. I understand that businesses want to increase sales and upsell additional services, but when a customer comes in specifically asking for a service, the response should not simply be, "We don't offer that service," when the service is in fact available. There was also an issue with the measurements of my packages. The dimensions being entered were incorrect. And please, don't respond by simply bringing up dimensional weight. I understand how dimensional weight works, and I am very familiar with UPS shipping rules. The issue was the actual measurements being entered. The scales were also not properly zeroed out before weighing the packages. That is a basic step that should be checked before weighing and charging a customer. Beyond the customer service issues, the store itself was also very disorganized and appeared dirty. The drop-off packages had accumulated to the point where the container was completely full and packages were overflowing, yet no one seemed to be doing anything about it. This was especially frustrating to see while more and more customers were continuing to come in. As someone who has managed a UPS Store, if I had seen my staff standing around watching a line grow while customers were waiting, packages were piling up, and the store was becoming disorganized, I would have addressed it immediately. Customer service, cleanliness, organization, and keeping the workflow moving were standards I took very seriously when I managed my location. Maybe my standards as a manager were simply very high. I know that I took pride in keeping my store organized, clean, and providing good customer service. At the same time, I understand that every franchise owner may have different management styles and expectations for their staff. I honestly chose not to say anything further at the time because there were already so many customers waiting, and I did not want to make an already chaotic situation worse. However, the experience was frustrating and could have been handled much more efficiently with better communication, organization, attention to detail, and proper staff training. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. These issues are very fixable, but they require employees who are properly trained, willing to step in and help when the line is growing, and attentive to the details of each transaction.

They do not pay for fuel surcharges and you do not average $1000 a week if you're a driver. I was told that same thing when I first got hired and found out over time that it was a lie. The most I've ever gotten in one week was somewhere in the $400-$500 range (and that is with 2 different raises AND working monday-saturday). The final straw for me was when I was given 3 different orders to go to San Antonio (which was my day off) would all total (due to past experiences) would average roughly $300 all total. When I checked my paystub, they only paid me $50. I spent more on gas just because I wanted the extra money on my day off. I put in my two weeks after that and left with no regrets. People come and go because they overwork their drivers and they take on more work than they can handle. I did meet and work with some really nice people but it wasn't worth it in the long run. Yes, this is an independant contractor position so you will be spending a lot of money on your car (gas, maintenance, etc). It got to the point to where I had to get a second job just to pay bills. The most I've ever got for one order was $100 but please be prepared to have orders that cost literally $0.00. The only benefit I got from this job was that it helped me see more of the area I was living in. It's not all bad but I would not recommend anyone working here

This small family business delivers a specific service with laser precision and rapid results…read more Duane, the owner, even called me immediately upon receiving our marriage license to note that it was too old to likely be accepted by the Texas Secretary of State's office, since they're generally only willing to accept documents certified within the past 5 to 10 years. I appreciated the heads-up (Duane said it's stated on his company website but I did not catch that.) But in about 10 minutes I was able to score a certified digital copy of our license from Harris County Clerk's Office, the only county in Texas whose online documents will be accepted by the Texas SOS. Duane printed it out and added it to their apostille stack headed to the SOS that morning. Our apostille was then shipped out to us that same afternoon. While I think Texas Apostille Service's website could be a bit more intuitive, that's a relatively small nit, because the service itself is bang-on fantastic. We were in a hurry, and they scored our apostille the same day they received the document from us. Duane was responsive and knowledgeable, and if in the future we need a doc apostilled and don't have a month to wait around for the state to process it, we'll definitely use this express lane service every time. Five stars. Highly recommended.
