The quote that I received was high, but it still came in slightly lower than other quotes, so I went with Goodman. However, when I received the invoice it was nearly $300 more than the quote. As someone who ships guitars world-wide I can attest that $900 to ship a guitar from California to Ohio is OUTRAGEOUS!! But, since they had my guitar I was screwed and I had to pay it. Secondly, but just as important, I asked if they had experience shipping guitars. The response was, "we shipped one of Elvis Presley's guitars", which was more bragging than a confirmation. The reality is that they have no clue as to how to properly ship a guitar. I repeatedly requested them to be sure that the strings are loosened and that they add extra padding inside the case, especially around the headstock which can easily snap in transit when not properly prepped for shipping. They told me "no problem, we will do all of that". They did none of this! How this guitar arrived without a broken headstock is nothing short of remarkable. So, the bottom line is that these guys talk a good line to earn your business and then completely screw you over.

I was attended by a white Caucasian lady, mid conversation Arlene rudely interrupts & with a scolding tone asks where I got the envelope from. What I took from her approach was she assumed I had grabbed the envelope from the card rack without paying for it. I understand some customers are hectic to deal with but if Arlene had not been on her phone when I entered she would have noticed I already had the envelope. To ensure Arlene was not intentionally being rude & only inquiring about the envelope, before leaving I turned back & took out an old envelope I needed to throw away & asked if she had a trash can I could use. Arlene did not look at me or respond to my question rather just pointed at the trash bin behind her desk which was completely out of my reach. The Caucasian lady then reached over & took the old envelope to throw away for me. Arlene then in a snarky voice said she had wanted me to aim & throw as if it were a basketball hoop. She responded that I could not do so because I do not have a tracking number. Can you believe how this company operates? This is my first and last time using FedEx.
