always has a great experience coming here, the clerks are always nice and kind to me even on busy days when they're over worked and being treated rudely. the girls are fast I have never seen clerks work so hard and fast at any other PO maybe the other offices has a shorter line but what do you expect at a location like this, it's busy. I stopped at this post office as it was most convenient to my errands that day. There is a good sized parking lot. When I arrived there were several folks in front of me but employees were at most of the desks and the line moved quickly. The employee who helped me even apologized for the wait which I didn't think was long at all. But I am used to the extremely long waits and bad service at the post office closer to me. So venturing out to other post offices lets me know they aren't all like that and some are even pleasant. I really felt for the lone employee running this post office in the days after Christmas. I walked in to pick up a package and the line had to be about 20 people deep, and in COVID times very much less than ideal. Luckily almost everyone wore their mask properly. But, I have to say I was super surprised when after 45 minutes I finally made it to the front and there was only one employee working. She was very kind, but clearly very overworked. Apparently this post office is the distribution center, I went to the post office closest to me looking for a missed delivery package and they let me know this was the place I had to go. Parking was easy and the benefit is while the actual postal office is quite small they have a large foyer where all the po boxes are. This made it possible to accurately spread out while you waited in line. read more

This Post Office is conveniently located in north Raleigh at the (odd) intersection of Falls of Neuse and Strickland Roads, just south of the interchange with I-540. It's a small post office, but the staff here is super-friendly. An Automated Postage Machine is in the lobby and they have various size mailboxes for rent. Inside the office, you can buy various size boxes and packing materials, as well as cards. The parking lot is one-way, and is a bit awkward and tight in places. Tips: - Part of the parking lot floods after heavy rain. - Drive-up drop-off mailboxes are behind the back of the post office; instead of circling back around the front of the building, keep straight and go towards the back of the property. The most annoying place to be! I visit this location at least 3-4 times a week, they have a self service kiosk and I kid you not that kiosk runs out either of shipping labels, tracking labels, or stamps you name it. Two ladies working at the desks. Both walked back into the back where they stayed for over 10 minutes before they strolled back in with a long line of customers extending outside the door waiting. Later she said sorry for the wait when I finally got my turn. It was 30 minutes before they closed, so it should not have been break time. I felt like they could care less if we stood there all day. My time is valuable to me. I will drive farther to another post office or better yet to a UPS Store, just so I don't have to go through that again. read more

We have had about 40% of the greeting cards we've sent or have been told sent to us stolen and I suspect it's happening in this post office. Some were sent from our mail box some we took directly to the post office. The ones we expected to receive came from Livonia Michigan, Lansing Michigan and Chicago Ill. We sent ones to: Mesa AZ, Hawthorne CA and Livonia MI. We finally sent one out of the UPS Store and the manager said that MANY people have complained abut greeting cards being stollen from that post office. I've contacted the Post Master General, but I've not gotten a response. read more

I love the feel and set up for this post office. People are always pleasant. They have huge PO box section, plenty of counter space and automatic stamp machine while is nice. The inside of the post office is small, they do a really good job of triage the line while you are waiting. read more

Avoid this location if you possibly can. Wait times are horrific and the staff don't care. Packages are highly disorganized and often get lost or misfiled. I wish I lived in any other zip code. I have had so much misery here. Even the self serve kiosk takes so long that the customer ahead of me walked away in disgust, unable to end his transaction. After waiting two minutes I could have bought anything I wanted on his credit card. That is a serious flaw and I wonder how much fraud happens here due to their messed up machine. read more

I wish I could give this 0 stars!! I ordered a package using 2 day shipping. It never got to the post office until more than week after I ordered. Then the delivery guy "tried" to deliver the package. And I get a notification that the package was "too big". I work from 9-5, so my WIFE WHO IS HOME WITH A 2 MONTH OLD had to go to the post office to see what the flip is happening. But the lady said that it has to be picked up the next day. So I match myself over there the next day to pick up my package that was supposed to be delivered last week, and they CANT EVEN FIND THE PACKAGE!!!!!! I am so fed up with them!!!!!!! Very awkward to get in and out of. A lot of people don't use their turn signals in this area so be very cautious. I've had average to ornery service here. They funniest/worst was when I went in with boxed up books and said, "I want to send these as inexpensively as possible with no insurance or anything - it's just books. What do you recommend?" She stared at me with a completely blank look on her face for about 3 seconds then asked "ok, sure, what service do you want?" I usually just went out of convenience and to try to find humor in such a screwy business, but today was the last day I'll even try using them. The kiosk was broken and there was a long line coming out the door. I looked inside the room and there was one window open. A lot of people with "I'm so over this" written on their faces. Holiday season. Peak hours. One person, no machines. I wasn't about to see if I could find humor while waiting in *that* line. read more

I've been using this PO for several years and come by when I have lots of pkgs. and envelopes to mail for my business. The staff always takes great care of me with a smile and I never feel I'm an "interruption" to their day. Years ago, I did not have the same opinion but over the last years, the attitude is great. I just wish during peak times they had more stations open as you can wait up to 20 mins. to be taken care of. I've also had a good recent experience with the small post office at 6320 Capital Blvd. I think competition with other carriers and the need to be competitive over those who email is making them better! read more

I'd been to this post office once or twice in the past 5 months since moving to the area, which it services. Basic needs: getting some stamps and mailing a package. The visits were routine and went fairly smoothly. Unfortunately, about a week ago someone tampered with the mail boxes in the condo community where I live. Apparently, this has happened before, but this was before I became a resident. When this happened before, there was a battle between the HOA and the Post Office about who was responsible for the repair. Considering they're standard mail boxes like those at the post office, I, too, would assume the post office would have responsibility for them. Currently, the post office is saying the HOA is responsible because of how the door to the boxes was tampered with. Now, as to how and why I'm writing a one star review. I've accepted that until this is repaired, I will have to go to the post office to retrieve my mail. As such, I have gone 3 or 4 times this past week to pick up my mail. The problem with this is that if the mail carrier is en route (and they don't return to the post office until around 4pm on weekdays), then you cannot obtain the mail that was to be delivered on that day. Today's visit contradicted most of the information I've been informed of this week for three major reasons: 1) I was told that I am ONLY allowed to come pick up my mail once a week. I find this to be preposterous. It's a Federal Service to have the mail delivered. I need my mail because, like most people, some important items come in the deliveries. For example, I have some medical bills that are not emailed to me so I cannot sign up to have them be ebills. I find this to be incredibly unfair. First of all, it's an inconvenience to me that my mail cannot be delivered to my home, but I'm coming to get it and now they're telling me that even if I walk in that door and wait patiently in line, I will not be allowed to get it. 2) I was told that the mail carrier should not be going out with the daily deliveries knowing that the mail boxes are broken. This is contradictory to what the mail carrier told me, but also what the postal workers at the post office told me before. The lady today told me "That is the RULE." Well, if that's the rule, then I could have received the item I was looking forward to getting today and they should be consistent in following it. 3) When I went to get my mail two days ago, I presented my ID, as I have been doing, and the woman came back with someone else's mail. It was all bundled up so since I'd stated my name and address, in addition to giving her my ID, I walked out with it, trusting that she'd gotten it right. As I got into my car, I opened the bundle and realized she'd given me the wrong person's mail. She gave me my neighbor's mail which is a completely different condo number, even if our last names are similar. I rushed back in and caught her as she was walking away from the service area. She looked at me funny and I told her she'd given me the wrong person's mail. I was frustrated so I told her that she should have read the address and the last name more carefully. She was more irritated at me for calling her out, but she should be more careful in giving out someone else' mail like that. It's clear that not only are they inconsistent and rude, but careless in their handling of the mail. I realize the damage to the mail boxes was not caused by this U.S. Post Office, but their response to ensuring the citizens who live in its zip code is incredibly careless and inconsistent, but difficult to work with and rude. I sincerely hope when I go to retrieve my mail next week, they do not deprive me from getting it, like they threatened me with today. read more

My husband went to this Post Office today at 4:12 pm, and the woman *grabbed* the door and told him the post office was closed. So I get online to look, and this location does not close until 4:30 pm. No wonder the USPS is hemorrhaging $$. If you hate your job that much that you go out of your way to LOCK PEOPLE OUT more than 15 minutes early, find a new job. For shame. And now I have been trying to call the location at 919-846-1942, and it just rings and rings ... so not only do they lock you out, they choose not to answer the phone. This post office deserves zero stars. They continuously lose my packages and make zero to no effort in terms of trying to track them. I've had to visit this post office many times whenever my work schedule permits. The lines are incredibly long. Once I get to the counter to tell them my situation, they claim they will contact the mail carrier and will give me a call with updated information but never do. Some of the employees are rude. I've had numerous problems with this post office for three years and I've lived in two separate apartments. It's just frustrating. read more

Worst post office ever! I am almost 50, and I have traveled the country, VA, FL, NC, KY and more, and this is the worst post office I have ever seen managed. Mail is never delivered on time, and the employees constantly lie just to get rid of you. They only hire minorities and women and individuals whom can't even speak English well enough to do the work properly. No matter how many times you and others file a complaint about rude employees not delivering your mail on time, etc., they refuse to do anything about it, and remind you these individuals are set for life with excellent benefit packages that have put the company into bankruptcy! Regardless of the lines that we ALL experience at the post office, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. I work a business from home and I have never had an unpleasant experience. Even when my daughter comes with me and she is fussy, everyone is always polite and gets me through the line as quickly as possible. There's an Automated Postage Machine in the lobby that you can access 24-7. The machine lets you weigh your package, buy the appropriate postage, buy stamps, and charge it to your credit or debit card. If I can do what I need to do at this machine, I'll do it rather than wait in line for an attendant. read more

Our mail delivery comes from the Falls of Neuse post office. I keep getting others mail, so I'm sure they are getting mine. I have something lost right now that I bought. The tracking number just sits there with no update for 10 days. I tried filling out an online form....no response. I tried calling the post office...no answer, EVER...it rings for 10 minutes and then goes to busy. I tried a couple months ago, no one ever answers, twice I waited for 25 minutes and then it went to dial tone, and I'm talking about calling WITHIN their hours of operation. I have no complaints about the desk inside the post office. There is simply no way to get help by calling or filing a search on line for a lost package. read more

This location is a no, no, no! I sent a package to someone in Raleigh with the instructions "Hold at Office." Now, the day it was supposed to be delivered to the post office, they said they were sending it out for delivery. After waiting until it was night time, we looked at the tracking number to see that it had been delivered- to the wrong zip code. The zip code it was send to was 27614, but it was held at 27615- the post office's zip code. So the receiver of the package called customer support, and told them the package was lost. A few days later, the problem was marked as resolved. Needless to say, the post office seems to be very unorganized. read more

This post office is just incredibly bad. From the long lines to the lack of urgency of most of the postal clerks, this is a textbook example of how a business should not be run. Either very much underfunded/understaffed or completely mismanaged. The worst part of this office is not even the lobby/counter service. It's the delivery routes that run from this location. Some days, no deliveries are made at all, other days, the mail is delivered after 8pm at night. And God forbid you're trying to get something from Amazon... read more
