I got a slip to send back saying that the post office can drop off the package without me being there. I remember filling out that slip but I can't remember what I did with it after filling it out (Probably because I took care of it at 4:30 in the morning when I woke up to go to the gym). I wasn't sure which post office the slip would have gone to if I indeed remembered to send it back and I wasn't sure which post office had my package. I called the Winton Rd. post office since I live closest to them but no one answered my calls and I let the phone ring for so long I was hung up on... 3 times. I then called the USPS hotline and using an automatic system I found out that this post office had my package. I called and someone answered right away which was fantastic. I spoke to David who found my package and said he could have it redelivered the next day. I decided I would come pick it up and David said it would be ready for me. I went to the post office which is easy to find but it is pushed back a little from the road. It is across the street from panorama plaza. I was happy on the inside because I am used to seeing the cramped post office eon Winton Rd. This was very spacious so you have room to breath and form a line. The person at the counter was very helpful and quickly found my package that was set aside fro me since I was coming to pick it up and I was out of there. Everyone at this location was so friendly and helpful and I am grateful for them. I will drive out of my way to come here and skip over Winton Rd. 1 week later, I still have no idea what I did with that slip... I am not sure I will ever remember.

Every time i go in there she not only gives me a attitude but everyone else as well! She yelled at a lady when she was just simply was looking at stamps telling here to get away from here area when she's with another customer( she was well over 6 feet away). And she was very rude about it and the lady looked very upset and embarrassed. Then the other day she shut here lane with more that 10 minutes left and told me she's closed! She shut down way to early because every time i go to Penfield's other post office they never do that. Hopefully someone can address this issue because its a very unpleasant experience dealing with her and I always need to ship things with my job.

Box said next pickup was 7:30 am on Monday (the NEXT morning). Which gave it an estimated Priority mail delivery date of Thursday. I just checked tracking and the package wasn't scanned in until Tuesday evening!! Then it's being moved through several other facilities in Rochester!!! I assumed this was the main facility‍ and that it would be picked up and scanned on time. This doesn't give main facility procedures. Now this package will not be delivered until possibly Saturday. I'm so pissed!!!! This was a business delivery and it makes me look bad!! I stars if I could!

So you have to go around the block when you leave and if you don't plan ahead you can end up trying to make a left onto Winton where you can't see very well and that might be a nightmare. However - the post office itself is great. The lines can be extreme around lunch time and when work lets out, but the staff is great and the line moves extremely fast and efficiently. They are also always very helpful and very pleasant which isn't always the case at a post office.

Other carriers like Fed Ex and UPS will typically close the box up and tape it for you. was told by the clerk at the counter that I needed to tape my box shut. It was almost Closing time, and a Friday, wanted to get this package mailed so I asked if they could just tape it shut for me. I was told I needed to buy a roll of tape, they couldn't do it. I started to inquire why, and the man working at the counter next to ours, immediately jumps down my throat for asking them to tape my box up and ask f if they could do me a favor and just throw a piece of tape on there for me. Calling me entitled, throwing F bones at me, telling me to go to UPS then if they do that for me but they will not, it was nothing I had ever seen or understood his reaction. It was beyond u professional and when I called him out about his behavior or they way he was talking to me, he as proud of it. The customer at his counter was in shock- as well. He made sighs and his facial expression was like he was blown away with this man's behavior and words to me, and I was not even in this man's line or at his counter, I was talking with another clerk. The other customer was just as uncomfortable as I was and I met up with him in the parking lot after this scene took place and we both were in shock how this clerk went off on me. Even when I told the man I was going to report him- he proudly gave me his name- Adam- said he as the highest position there before manager and he has great reviews and I should check them out. No shame in his unprofessionalism and rudeness to customer making a simple request and who was about to pay for their package to be mailed with USPS.

The lobby area is super convenient and customer friendly, open 24 hours a day, very clean and lots of counter top space to prepare packages to ship. There is a self service station that allows you to ship mail or packages any time day or night, with out the hassle of standing in line. You can also purchase stamps and shipping materials here. The window service area is open m-f 8:30-5 and on Saturdays 8:30-12. Great service and they always seem to have specialty stamps exspacilly during the holiday season.

I'd just like to make a request that if there's a Postage Payment issue that the carrier please come to my front door and ring so it can be resolved immediately. I fully Appreciate that they often pay the postage due out of their own pocket(s) so as not to inconvenience the customer. However that shouldn't be expected of them, although a very kind gesture, and it could become a very costly gesture even though their managers know this is a common practice. In one particular case, prompting this review, the postage was already clearly indicated as PrePaid hence my confusion as to why I owed $3.10 ... I have since talked directly to the manager of the Webster NY Post Office to have the carrier either ring my bell or leave the required legal notification with a clear explanation to come to the P.O. to resolve any issues. Hence why I gave 4 vs a lesser rating ... And yes it was very kind of our carrier taking the action he/she did as going to the P.O. can take time out of one's schedule. So Thank You ..
