Every time i go in there she not only gives me a attitude but everyone else as well! She yelled at a lady when she was just simply was looking at stamps telling here to get away from here area when she's with another customer( she was well over 6 feet away). And she was very rude about it and the lady looked very upset and embarrassed. Then the other day she shut here lane with more that 10 minutes left and told me she's closed! She shut down way to early because every time i go to Penfield's other post office they never do that. Hopefully someone can address this issue because its a very unpleasant experience dealing with her and I always need to ship things with my job.

I got a slip to send back saying that the post office can drop off the package without me being there. I remember filling out that slip but I can't remember what I did with it after filling it out (Probably because I took care of it at 4:30 in the morning when I woke up to go to the gym). I wasn't sure which post office the slip would have gone to if I indeed remembered to send it back and I wasn't sure which post office had my package. I called the Winton Rd. post office since I live closest to them but no one answered my calls and I let the phone ring for so long I was hung up on... 3 times. I then called the USPS hotline and using an automatic system I found out that this post office had my package. I called and someone answered right away which was fantastic. I spoke to David who found my package and said he could have it redelivered the next day. I decided I would come pick it up and David said it would be ready for me. I went to the post office which is easy to find but it is pushed back a little from the road. It is across the street from panorama plaza. I was happy on the inside because I am used to seeing the cramped post office eon Winton Rd. This was very spacious so you have room to breath and form a line. The person at the counter was very helpful and quickly found my package that was set aside fro me since I was coming to pick it up and I was out of there. Everyone at this location was so friendly and helpful and I am grateful for them. I will drive out of my way to come here and skip over Winton Rd. 1 week later, I still have no idea what I did with that slip... I am not sure I will ever remember.

Box said next pickup was 7:30 am on Monday (the NEXT morning). Which gave it an estimated Priority mail delivery date of Thursday. I just checked tracking and the package wasn't scanned in until Tuesday evening!! Then it's being moved through several other facilities in Rochester!!! I assumed this was the main facility‍ and that it would be picked up and scanned on time. This doesn't give main facility procedures. Now this package will not be delivered until possibly Saturday. I'm so pissed!!!! This was a business delivery and it makes me look bad!! I stars if I could!

Went in today to mail a certified letter with tracking to the Philippines. Had a very long wait in…read moreline as a customer in front of me was having some issue sending delaying the line for up to 20 minutes, the girl trying to help her was totally "hung up," obviously appearing like she did not want to be working at all that day. But could tell she was at least trying her best. Also was able to observe two customers arguing, ready to get into a fist fight, so at least I had a little entertainment to help ease me the extra-long wait! But i have to admit that the long wait was becoming unacceptable. So, I needed to text my supervisor explaining the situation, and why it was taking me so long. Even snapped a picture so my boss could see the fiasco happening before my very eyes! Until finally, a very professional woman in her 30s came to help me. I appreciated how very observant she was and noticed the way i was looking, needing to be helped. Besides her attractiveness, what impressed me the most was her professionalism, knowing exactly how to send my important court documents with a raised seal to my fiancé in the Philippines. I immediately could see she was a very competent postal employee who understood her job. I was very saddened by the experience I had at the Howard Road, Rochester, NY, Post Office last Saturday, February 14th, as the gentleman Postal Clerk adamantly refused to send my certified mail to the Philippines, making it seem like all the US Post offices do not send certified mail to the Philippines! Told me to check in very annoyed way to check out UPS, so went to them and wanted $250 to send. So funny!! So, I went to Upper Falls Post Office, and it cost me $49.75. After so much pain, struggle and frustration trying to mail a certified letter with tracking (gets delivered in 10 days besides), i didnt mind spending an extra $30 just for the peace of mind. I like knowing my important documents won't take 5 weeks to get to the Philippines and possibly get lost in the mail in some foreign post office..

During these COVID times, this is not the best. I essentially waited in the vestibule until there was no one else in the tiny waiting room. I imagine this location must get nutty during peak times, so I would try and drop by during the weekdays if at all possible, so as to not feel cramped. When it was time to send my package, the staff was unbelievably kind, efficient, and helpful. While I only had a two minute interaction (weigh, swipe, thank you, see ya!), it left an impression. Workers of these offices are not getting the props they deserve for being an essential business during this time and having to deal with people in and out at a consistent clip. This is a great and convenient location to send packages for holiday times, just make a plan to wear your mask and have everything ready to go prior to arriving, to save time and limit your exposure/exposure to the staff. I think the location is the reason why it gets so much business. That being said, I am surprised anyone thought it was a good idea to open such a small office. It is tiny. There is room for a line of about 5 and then the line is out the door. Also, I have never seen more than 1 person working at a time so it can take a long time to get through that line. The area that every post office has to fill out paperwork or put stamps on your envelopes is also small which would be fine however the line for service is against it so if there is a line, you can't really use that work space Overall, I will continue to come to this location because it is so convenient to work. The facility is clean and the staff is nice but expect to wait in line in cramped spaces. If you want to meet a new friend, the line here may be a good place to donor since you are so close.

I know the lines will be much shorted than any of the other post offices I frequent. In the last year there was a staff change and the woman I dreaded dealing with is gone. She was replaced by a very sweet and bubbly younger woman. I finally mustered up the courage to ask about the other lady whom was always rude to patrons (Think- "NO SOUP FOR YOU!" type of personality). I was informed.... she was "Promoted"... ha! Well anyway... its certainly improved this place! Lastly, and the most important part..... they always have all the new stamps, but they go fast....since they are a smaller location, they don't receive as much stock. Get there fast!

The lobby area is super convenient and customer friendly, open 24 hours a day, very clean and lots of counter top space to prepare packages to ship. There is a self service station that allows you to ship mail or packages any time day or night, with out the hassle of standing in line. You can also purchase stamps and shipping materials here. The window service area is open m-f 8:30-5 and on Saturdays 8:30-12. Great service and they always seem to have specialty stamps exspacilly during the holiday season.
