Spent 15 minutes in line with no service associate present. Could hear them talking in the back. Arrived at 3 pm. Don't waste your time

If I could leave no stars I would. The so called "supervisor" just hung up on my because they're drivers misplace packages and don't care.

Is it just as luck would have it, or is it some twisted joke, that Temple students must grit their…read moreteeth, maintain that stiff upper lip, pump out their chests, and travel to the North Philly Badlands every time they have to pick up a package? It's probably the latter, but, regardless, it may be worth the trip to visit this majestic post office, to see this anachronism of luxury and community investment in a neighborhood now ravaged and forgotten. It's truly a grand dame of a New Deal WPA post office in a Shadey McShadey Hood. The architecture is like "whoa!". It's pure Georgian gone Art Deco, a clever and subtle nod to Independence Hall 1930s-style. Check the expansive rows of arched windows, check the solid red bricked front, check the miniature bell tower, check the decorative arches. This proud commitment to civic pride stands solitary as the young bulls in rich rose shades pop wheelies down the streets, as the grade schoolers play basketball in front of a drive-by memorial, as the old heads with scruffy beards roll blunts on the stoops of long empty buildings. Despite assertions to the contrary, the line is never as long and never as slow-moving as haters aver. Besides, the company provides constant semi-amusement to pass the time. There's always someone complaining aloud, always a not-quite-but-half-senile old man clamoring for his express scripts. Heck, some mornings you may be able to pick up a "hot date" outside the post on the steps - I'd recommend against it, though. At the very least, you can watch the flirtations and dating games of hop heads strung out on Percs and dulled by weed. One not entirely unattractive "customer" of sorts attested that she "goes to the post office every morning, just to meet people to hang out with". But, if you don't like talking to people or if you just don't like talking to shady people in old post offices in bad neighborhoods, there's other ways to pass the time while in line. For one, the walls are lined with great WPA murals displaying Everyman and Everyday - the soldier, the doctor, the capitalist, the merchant, and, of course, the family - domestic bliss! What a bitter contrast to the scene outside the post office doors! It makes one almost wax poetic. But, don't despair, there's a thread of hope - learn from the Futuristic murals of industry, progress (the racing horse! the speeding train! the lofty eagle!), learn from the Black History Appreciation posters. They show how far we've come, how much more we have to achieve. Granted they are yellow and dusty and crumpled. To think, how funny, that people once upon a time built grand post offices with moralistic murals, that people once upon a time fought for lofty concepts like "justice" and "equality". Nowadays, we hate these 'hoods and laugh at these ghetto monuments, we fight with postal clerks who "waste our time" and "take too long".

Well,it's impossible to get hold of anyone at any of the post offices. They turn off their phones…read morefrom early in the morning till they close. They physical PO closes too early, so if you work and get off at 5 PM, you're stuck if you need them for something, unless you want to speak to an inept AI bot who doesn't understand anything you say, then go for it. Only in Philadelphia, mostly the ones close to Center City. I'm fed up with them.

I waited two months to review this company because I needed some time to get over how much my…read moremoving process sucked with them. First of all, Matt was great at scheduling, giving an estimate, and answering questions. But since he didn't have anything to do with the actual moving process...I can't really say it mattered. I moved from a one bedroom in west philly to a center city apartment- pretty simple. The guys showed up late ~ 20 minutes late. I met them in the parking lot of my building because they couldnt figure out how to park their MASSIVE moving truck on their own. I came down and they were smoking cigarettes next to their graffiti covered vehicle. It took them at least another 15 minutes to actually park and come up to my apartment...where they realized they forgot the dolly. So they went back to their truck and couldn't find it...because they forgot it. So now we are about 45 minutes past my start time and they begin moving things... My mom and I actually helped them bring boxes to the elevator to bring down because we were already so far behind schedule. The process would have been so much faster if they had not forgotten a dolly, and I would not have felt like I had to help because I was paying for them to carry one box at a time down my hallway. Matt had told me that the crew would be able to give me a ride to the new apartment, and when I asked them they laughed and said "ummm there isn't much room but if you don't mind smoking then fine" I hate smoking...so I got a cab. When I got to my new apartment they arrived more than 20 minutes after me...smoking again. I had asked Matt if I needed to get them a parking permit for my new street because I knew my location was zoned- he said no it was fine. Then of course the crew got a parking ticket and whined about that while they moved my stuff into the new apartment. They chipped the side of my dining room table and snapped the hanging wire on the back of a large piece of wall art. Nothing else was damaged. The whole day sucked. They were unprofessional and unprepared. I really don't enjoy paying people by the hour to smoke cigarettes. I called Matt towards the end of the process to let him know that I was displeased with the service, especially forgetting the dolly since I knew it added a lot of time to my move and required my mom and I to help. He tried to make things better by knocking a little bit off of my bill. But all in all the whole thing was terrible. I would NEVER use skybox again.

Due to the mixed reviews of this company, I just HAVE to review them to give them the credit that…read morethey deserved. I was helping out a friend who was moving to a new place. The movers were due to come at 3:00pm on Sunday. They called around 2:30pm to say that they were running late, approximately 15-20 minutes late. They eventually came at 4:00pm because there were tons of traffic. I was okay with it because they were straightforward and honest about it. Once they got here, they started moving the furniture that needed to be packed. My friend had an insane amount of furniture, that includes 2 beds, 3 couches, and 918273 drawers. (Okay not really but it felt like that). They were quick, professional, and efficient the whole time. Since they were working hard, and McDonald's was across the street, I grabbed them food and we took a break after loading all the furniture (I know I know, fast food is bad for you but it was across the street!). Once at the new place, I swear they performed a miracle or something. It was an enclosed staircase onto the second floor and whoever built the opening were not thinking straight because it was so damn small. The couches took forever to come up the stairs, and once it did, it took forever to get through the front door. For the third couch, they literally hoisted up over the railings in the front! I was amazed... and scared! They got everything in, the beds, couches, and 918273 drawers set to where we asked them to. They were very nice, very polite. Definitely did a solid job. I'm SO glad that my friend chose them to be his moving company because they definitely did not charge as much as other companies have quoted. But they still did just as good of a job, if not better, than those other companies would. If I had to move, definitely will call these guys! Shout out to Joe's crew !! Oh, and yes the polite thing to do is to tip your movers, don't forget. They work very hard.
