UPS is getting bad at dropping off package and lying about drop off packages I will never use ups

This location is useful for sending work samples as needed to colleagues and business partners. Since I have a corporate account, my interactions have been mostly to drop off my packages that are already labeled and boxed. I would note however a quick drop off may not be possible due to parking challenges since it is a busy area. Also if your label has any issues (my toner was low on a printout) you will have to email them the label PDF (they can't just print out a new label based on the tracking information). So I did find that to be annoying, especially since they already charge for a new label. I don't think it should be that complicated but I hope it is for a valid reason. The folks are usually helpful and diligent so no complaints there. read more

Super unprofessional, this store needs to update their staff. The supervisor is not fit to run the store. It's actually the owners mom :/ I made a bad review on google, I even posted a photo which proved them to be wrong and I think they had it flagged so that no one can view it. The customer service is horrible and that staff lack reading comprehension! I had a legal matter that I needed to take care of, I went their for notary and I got the form notarized. Commonwealth required me to get a verification because the other party is from another state. UPS only job was to verify that we indeed can there for notary. No one's signature was required except ups! They sent me away saying the other party needed to be there with an ID to verify he was there, when they already had it logged. I even called the legal rep who gave me the paper and they said all they had to do was verify, no one needed to be present because the form that needed to be verified was already NOTARIZED. There needs to be a better management team, not just the "owners mom" who performs the role as a Supervisor? shes not qualified if you ask me. Now I have to wait 2 weeks to handle my legal matter. It's already frustrating enough to be dealing with all that I am. To ups store 6717: Tighten up, work on properly vetting your staff with project resolution and reading comprehension. This matter could have been handled way better! Proper management is key to any business. Also a simple apology goes far. Everyone makes mistakes, it's what you do after you realize that a error was made that counts. NEVER GO HERE FOR NOTARY!!! read more

I went to have a passport photo taken. The guy who took it made it look like a mug shot. I can't believe I paid $18 for a mug shot. Now, I'm going somewhere else to have it done better. Funny, even the DMV let's you see and retake it if it doesn't look great. I'm glad I can go elsewhere. What's worse is there really isn't an easy way to let give this feedback to UPS. Don't go there... Sadly Costco doesn't have the photo department anymore, but other places still do. read more

They offer notary services, printing, and all kinds of other stuff.. you just have to ask. Its always pleasant in here. Thank goodness for a place we can get packages in Northern Liberties! Joy and Dwright are the nicest! Very professional and always there to help. During the recent hurricanes in the Caribbean and Florida,I had to send a generator to my family in Puerto Rico. You can imagine how expensive its to ship a 200 pound item! Dwright not only gave me a discount for the hurricane relief, but he also made sure the whole process went smoothly and tracked the item until delivered. I had a terrible experience at this location. I frequent this location because I know that it is Black Owned and I always try to support local minority owned businesses. Long story short. I went in with paperwork that needed notarizing for the selling of my deceased grandfather's home that I had an interest in due to my own father's passing as well. A simple succession plan. The older African American female employee then stated she had to reach out to her daughter ,the owner, to see if she could notarize the documents. She explained to me she was not able to because the location had in the past has issues with fraudulent documents and that they didn't want to assume the risk. My issue is I feel like you just told me I was fraud. Then denied me a service that you offer that is actually on the window clings at your location. It is my understanding that if you notarize you notarize and it's not at the discretion of the staff nor based on the customer's physical attributes, your intuition, or race. Needless to say I remained professional and just left with a bad taste in my mouth and felt discriminated against by someone of the same race. Fast forward to the next day. I went to the location on Market St. across from the Comcast Center less than 2 miles away from that location where that not only aided in printing out the documents, they notarized them, packaged for overnight and shipped for me to meet the tight deadline I had. In the future although the Girard location is literally two blocks from my home I refuse to patronize them same way they discriminated against me and basically told me I was fraud when I was just trying to resolve and close a painful and emotional chapter in my life. Thanks but no thanks. Either you offer the service or not. I would give this location zero but one is the lowest option. read more

Went there to just drop a package with a pre-printed waybill to be picked up by the courier, and was told "ummm, we only really do that for mailbox rental customers." Pretty much hit and miss store. Not as good as the one in Center City which has been far more reliable. As a courier, if you intend on dropping off packages, there's a solid chance it won't even hit the UPS truck. I've had two out of three packages from Amazon that weren't even put on the truck, much less given to the UPS delivery person. Frustrated and terrible. I would rather go to Liberties Parcel for drop offs. They are exceedingly better and haven't missed a beat. read more

I stumbled upon this gem last week when I was in a rush, I usually go to Staples. Well I can tell you I will not be going to Staples again. Joy, who I later found out was not only an employee but the owner of this store was so helpful and did not judge me and my lack printing / computer knowledge. She took the time to show me how to log in how to transfer my Excel into a PDF file and then printed it. She did all this for $1.23. At Staples if I could get help I always felt judged. If you have any printing needs I highly suggest this place, like I said Joy is more than helpful! She also has PO Boxes & a bunch of notary services. Prices are more than reasonable and where else would you go that someone would actually take the time to teach you something for $1.23?! read more
