my first time here and its a NO! Someone that is either a frequent customer, a relative of an employee or an employee came in there with a dog. Not an emotional support animal. the dog was on the counter, one of the staff picked up the dog and kissed it! The heck if someone is allergic to dogs. Not only that but they let him jump the line. Then Im waiting in one area somebody says i'll be with you and never comes back because he is hugging a dog. He really went above and beyond when we were confused about potentially requiring a code - he researched the answer for us. Friendly staff and great selection of choices on office supplies. There is also UPS and usps services for shipping your products Incase you find your local post offices closed early or with super long lines. It does cost a bit more to ship from here. It's my absolute last minute go to. There are a variety of cleaning products as well as coffee cups for keurig. Often times they go on clearance for half the price compared to elsewhere because it expired. I don't know about you but coffee cups expiring doesn't worry me as much as raw chicken expiring. The staff is super friendly and offers their own opinions on what is most user friendly. There are also some candy products and gizmos. Staples changed a lot from before and I am glad they are adding these great priced selections as part of their store. read more

This review is for the lady in the printing department. Didn't get her name but she should be running that entire place if she isn't already. I was in the Thursday 9/29 in the afternoon to have some copies of flyers made for an event I'm doing. My image wasn't the right size and took multiple passes of trial and error to print correctly. She was extremely patient despite my cluelessness and eventually, we found the exact version and size that I needed, not to mention I had 4 different files we were juggling that were all very similar. Meanwhile, she dealt seamlessly with multiple other customers, including one who was quite rude. All this with complete calm and efficiency. If everyone had her attitude and work ethic our world would be a much better place. My hat goes off to her and I couldn't have gotten my flyers right without her help. It's not often you see this type of service in a corporate store. If the manager or boss in this place can see this, give this lady a raise! She deserves it. read more

Great associate level service, TERRIBLE MANAGER LEVEL DECISIONS. I went earlier this week to get an iPad mini using the price match guarantee coupon and take advantage of a current sale. The coupon was not accepted to use with the sale and the sale was for tablets and the iPads were not considered tablets. Even though they are and on their website it reads that iPads are tablets. Great. After coming home, I find out that it is a store-by-store policy. I come back two days later, because I cannot call them to handle the situation. They say they cannot honor the $20 coupon. I call to customer service and see that they do it on the phone, on the website, and almost every other store. The customer associates were great, very friendly. The manager that makes this decision is not. I returned it to go to a different Staples and give them my business. So when you have to go to Staples, go to any other one in the area. Literally, any other one in the area, and you will have a manager who is more customer friendly. This is the bad Staples of the area. read more

First I would like to say I think staples in general is a good office supply establishment. However my experience at this store was horrible. I went there to ship a package through ups. They had me use their old computer and fill out all my information, which I thought was weird because when I shipped througha different staple a few years back they did everything for me...but maybe it's a new policy. Anyhow, the keys stuck and it was just covered in nasty sticky dirt. I then waited about 15 minutes for the clerk to come back...while they waited on people who came up to the counter after me. They were busy so I let this slide, although I was making loud comments on when I was going to be helped when the clerk finally came to print out the paper to ship the computer froze and all my information was lost. The clerk blamed me because I was the last to use the computer and told me to fill it out again. Now I have 20+ years using computers so I called her out on her commador 64 and left. This staples has the worse customer service and you should just go to the one in center city or elsewhere. read more

Believe it or not - I like this staples - it's a large one (the one I go to the most is at 1500 Chestnut - which is smaller, less selection and a bit higher prices.) This one is fine and unlike Nu S., I never had any problems here service-wise - granted it's run by high school and college "kids". I get toner, post-its, copy paper, highligheter pens, batteries, memory cards/sticks and occaisionally even a case of spring water when it's a decent price. Glad to have a Staples nearby. Oh - and terachers - sign up for your 10% discount and they also give credit for school supplies to your school. Nice big parking lot. Easy-peasy. read more

I needed some seamless paper for some photos and didn't have any. Staples only sells vellum which isn't going to work for me. The copy & print guys helped me out & "printed" me a 30x36 blank sheet from their B&W printer roll for a very reasonable price. Crisis averted for now. They can be pricey at times when I need large volumes of items then I'll buy wholesale online but great for quick fix. The have a usps drop off there too. read more

I have been going to this Staples location for years. Their customer service has always been impeccable, EXCEPT for today, 1:35 pm. I walked up to their copy/shipping area and asked for a large UPS box to prep for my shipping. There was no greeting (smile or anything, not even a hello), and the associate (glasses, approx. 5'10", short brown hair), said, "We don't have that size, you'd have to buy a box over there." Usually, I get offered to "ship with Staples" when the associate sees me carrying something for shipping or at least directions to supplies with alternative packaging. I walked over to look at sizes and was so disappointed that he didn't offer to even show me a UPS box for sizing. I then walked back thinking maybe they're just out of stock of UPS boxes and asked, "Do you have a large pouch with the bubble wrap?" He said, "No." I then asked, "So there's no bubble pouches at all at Staples?" He replied rudely with an attitude, "Yeah, you'd have to buy one, aisle 2." He mumbled something under his breath, but not worth the time to deal with his attitude. As I was walking out, the manager was there and I was standing in front a giant supply of UPS packaging. Not once did the shipping associate offer to just tell me to walk over to the UPS shelves. My items fit perfectly in the box and the manager offered to take care of shipping for me as soon as he saw me seal it. I'm glad at least their manager has excellent customer service and treats their customers as if they're valued. read more

I like this Staples very much. I've used the copy/print center for years on an almost weekly basis and they're always genial and personal. They're quick, and have the best rates that I was able to find in the city for my particular project. There were 3-4 staff working in this section and I was ignored along w/everyone else in line. I would say it could have been a 1-time occurrence but I have used this service before and it wasn't much better... I will be using Office Max in the future. read more

I like my local store. They do have a selection of laptops to browse through. I bought my projector here. Their copy center gets busy, so avoid traffic time. A lot of supplies to browse through. Ugh. The copy center is expensive and the quality sucked. I printed off resumes and they all had black flecks of ink on them twice- again the third time with no offer for them to use their better printer or for the copier to be checked. Some machines were broken and the instructions for using yourself were nonexistent or confusing even for someone very computer literate. Would not go there again. read more

A long, awful experience. I brought in pdfs exported from AutoCAD to be printed on 24x36 paper. I waited a while to helped, when I was, they stated that the prints wouldn't be ready for 7 hours at 7:00PM. So I went home, and came back. The prints had not been printed. An employee stated she would print them immediately. After I made a round in the store to pick up other items, I returned to the printing counter, only to be ignored, when I finally asked again about the prints, she stated that they were printing blank, and my files were too large. By that time it was 8:00. Another 15 minutes of waiting, and I was told, sorry, we can't print these. I ended up going somewhere else, and they were printed in under a minute. read more

This is a happy place for me. I have pre-ordered items and picked up as well as gone randomly and always had great services. There are a fair number of employees and they are knowledgeable enough to send me to the right aisle when I am looking for something. My favorite purchase has been the 25 (now 30) page strip shredder. I cannot imagine that the Fellowes and GBC ones priced at $1000+ are much better than this one for $170. read more

I was not at all impressed by this staples in any way. The layout of the store was a little confusing and it took me quite a while to figure out where things were. They had a lot of candy and actual food on the shelves which kind of through me off because they had a minimal amount of ink on the shelves but, they had lots of food to choose from. Maybe it is just me but, it is a staples not a food market. Besides that the place seemed to be clean and well take care of, there also seemed to be a lot of workers walking around to try and help people navigate the store which is cool. The staff all seemed nice at the checkout friendly and efficient. I can say I would come here again because it was convenient for me to come here. However if you are in a rush make sure you give yourself a few minutes to figure out the store because it may not be a simple grab and go. read more

Everybody knows getting a fried motherboard repaired can be a trying ordeal. Wondering if you will get any useful data off the machine is a gamble. What's lame is that they made it worse. I brought in my laptop which needed servicing because of a boot error caused by the apparent hard drive failure. I wanted them to tell me if it had any chance of being recovered. This was the second time I brought my computer to a Staples for the same problem. The first Staples in center city opened the machine and ran some system diagnostics for free, which is what every Staples was claiming at the time they will attempt to do in order to optimize performance. When Staples #1 discovered that they could not get past boot-up nor read anything off the hard drive, they had punted. Nobody in the center city place claimed to have that kind of recovery equipment nor expertise, but they offered to ship it out to somebody else for $1000. The cost of a new computer being half that, I should have just packed up and called it a day. My loss for not backing it up more often even after it was showing signs of imminent failure. But this Staples on Columbus Blvd offered a different approach, which to be honest I just wanted to hear. They demonstrated a little bit more proactive and optimism at the same time whereas I had thought the first Staples approach appeared to have been too passive for a professional technician. This Staples was even more foolhardy, though. This time they charged my $70 and had me fill out a form that basically waived them of any liability or responsibility to fix my computer whatsoever but basically gave me the confidence that they would perform a task. (That will be the last time.) During the process of attempting to fix the computer, I received conflicting updates. If they had called me when they opened it and discovered the broken connector part (which we all suppose a different branch of Staples could have been responsible for) then I would have followed Staples #1's logic and called this computer beyond repair before they incurred the non-refundable fee. What they ever did for the $70 has never been clarified. They admit that with the connector being broken, whether by themselves or by another technician (I never even open my computer) that their usual diagnostics were rendered useless. If all they had to do was open the computer and find that, then I am not sure why the expense of further diagnostics, themselves being impossible to perform, could not be reversed. I further was annoyed when a clerk at Staples called me the day before Christmas and/or the day after to notify me that my computer was DONE and ready for pick-up! I was skeptical that it could have been salvaged in its entirety and was really hoping for a phone call that would tell me how much information was potentially recovered and from what directory(ies) so that I could determine whether or not it was even practical to burn it to a CD which I am thinking could have incurred further time and perhaps charges beyond the $70 "diagnostic/repair." His response was that the ticket was marked complete and that therefore it appeared to him that they had recovered everything to my satisfaction! Signals were crossed, though, because the guy making the calls was not the same guy working on the computers, nor did they appear to communicate any concerns with one another. When I got there I discovered that the computer was in no better condition than when I had dropped it off, and they already had my money. Two subsequent attempts to contact Staples for a refund/adjustment, on the spot with the technician and later by e-mail to the manager, were denied. Thanks for nothing, guys. read more

I wanted to share how positive my experience at this staples was. I went in to get my phone fixed while my sister did her back to school shopping. About an hour in, they told me that there was an issue with my phone and my cracked screen could not get fixed nor would my phone be able to turn back on again. Given that I was flying out two days from then and would not be able to take my phone to another place, I was very exasperated.The Manager, Lucy, and Technician, Chris, worked expediently towards a resolution and escalated the matter to the region managment. They were able to give me a solution in obtaining the method of acquiring a new phone due to their fast actions.These people value their customers and wanted to commend them for their hard work and ability to find a solution a tricky problem. Went there to get a poster board of my daughters college graduation picture for her party. The girl at the copy center refused to do it. She insisted it was copyrighted. She was very rude. I told her the graduation pictures cost me over $300 dollars and they gave us a disc of all her photos to do what we want with the photographs. She must not have ever purchased college photos. Went to the stapes copy center at 22md & Oregon Ave. and they were more then happy to help. Maybe someone should teach her about copyright if they sell me a disc I am free to do what I want with the pictures. I paid for the right to do what I want with them. She was very rude and acted like she knew everything. read more
