Wish I could give 0 stars honestly. I went to pick up a box that they had left a pick up slip in my box for, went in and waited 10 minutes to be helped then when finally getting assistance, they disappeared into the back for another 10 minutes only to tell me my box had been shipped back to the sender. I have a package box at my apartment and sometimes they leave it, sometimes they leave a slip paying I owe 7.25 postage, upon asking why, she told me it's because I moved and that the mail man gets to decide if they want to deliver or not. And that she couldn't help me. 30 minutes later, late to work, no box. Then contacted the company the item was supposedly returned to and they said they haven't received it back. read more

There have been some negative reviews here. For me this post office has gone above and beyond always. Even with package delivery issues. Give these ppl a break this is a stressful job especially during covid and the holidays! The post office is small I like the area where you can pick up your mail or package immediately. ALL the staff has always been helpful and friendly to me. In addition BE NICE you will get further with honey. Tips: register with the usps.com also call if you are uncertain of something before you drive down. If you need stamps immediately and don't want a long line Walmart and Win Co sells them also Postal Annex on Winchester is a quick alternative. Just some suggestions to save yourself time. read more

Without diving too much into most of the post office staff being rude and upset every time I have gone to this location, MARTIN is a ray of sunshine! He is always going above and beyond to help customers while maintaining a kind demeanor and smile. I understand everyone has bad days and I always give the benefit of the doubt, but I have experienced many off days by most everyone here. Martin is the only reason I'm comfortable in the office. Got there and they said I didn't have one and instead of helping me as no one else was there, she said she could do nothing. I am always being told they can't do anything to resolve my issues whether it be for missing packages, missing mail, etc. My local post office is the one on Washington, but because they lack clearance they are not able to investigate into issues so they always send me to Los Alamos because it is the "head office". I've been sent to this location about 5 times now only to be turned away by the person working the blue door each time. A completely waste of time and gas. I understand having to prove my residency, but I do not understand why I can't prove it from a utility bill on my phone. Most people these days have paperless billing. My bill online is the same as the bill I printed for you. Why is a paper copy more valid? I had to find a printing center to print out this bill because I do not own a printer. Post office. Y u no deliver package/Y u lose package? I don't want to go to as far as to say that I hate a post office, but this one comes pretty damn close. I'm not sure who is the mailman or mailwoman who delivers mail to my side of town, but they are always effing it up. I've spoken to the "hbic" and I'm still getting my neighbor's mail. Once in a while I get it, you're in a hurry, but almost 3-4x a week? C'mon son! And to top things off, the post office lost a package I sent to a friend and their response was, "Oh well!" The only way to make sure my bills get delivered on time, is if I personally hand the letter to the receptionist of said company. I've never had issues with postal service until I moved to Murrieta. i very rarely write negative reviews but i was honestly floored by the poor customer service here. i don't expect the red carpet or anything but if i walk in during open hours while the doors are unlocked and the place is staffed i expect to at the very least be helped. i try not to go to places close to closing time because i understand that the employees all want to go home and such, especially on a saturday. however, today was the only day i was available to pick up an urgent package that i had missed that required a signature. i wasn't aware that the place closed at 1, but i entered at 12:58. the staff was still helping new people and welcoming them so i assumed it was fine. i waited for about 4-5 minutes until around 1:02 when who i assume was the manager began very rudely telling me they were closed. i tried to explain that i had to pick up a package and it was urgent and that i had been there before they closed but he told me very rudely that "we close at 1" and that the employees "were already on overtime". Didn't really make sense because they open at 9 so i don't see how overtime is possible on a 4 hour shift. but regardless it was extremely rude. this package was for my mother. she is bedridden and the package contained important medical equipment. i work full time to help pay for her medical bills and therefore wasn't able to drop everything and wait for a package to be signed for that i didn't know the delivery date of. Now i am having to spend a ridiculous amount of $$$ on same day delivery of the same products so she doesn't have a medical emergency... all because this older gentleman with a lisp couldn't be bothered to help me 2 minutes after closing. i completely understand that the employees all are tired, it's saturday, they want to go home. i get it. but if the case is that they absolutely are all on overtime and can't help anybody even 2 minutes past closing, they should be locking the doors 5 minutes before closing or something. Not letting people in and turning them away rudely. just my two cents. read more

I received a package in the mail today. It was supposed to have the materials for a class and state exam I'll be taking inside it. Instead the cardboard envelope was ripped open, empty and placed inside a plastic bag, that had a printed note apologizing for the damage on it. I really don't think it's appropriate that the USPS can send me an empty envelope with a sorry note on it. These materials costed me $150 and I need them in order to take my Real Estate exam here soon. This package looks as if whomever was handling it ripped it open and took the materials out and thought "hey they can still have the envelope it came in". Post Office, If you see any materials from First Tuesday laying around, yeah they are mine. I have posted a picture of the ripped envelope and sorry note to USPS facebook page as well. I seriously cannot believe this sort of thing is allowed. While I'm ranting about this, I might as well also add to their incompetence (not just the Murrieta branch but all over San Diego too). There have been multiple times I have sent in a change of address to the Post Office. I do it online and select the option that says I am the only individual leaving the previous address, yet they somehow end up forwarding my father's mail to me in addition to mine because our names are similar, Andrea and Andrew. This has happened at least 3 times. Every time I have to go in to have them fix it, and they don't seem to understand what the issue is. SMH and serious face palm to all of USPS. read more

Getting passport here is a nightmare! They only have one Saturday available per month. Its not worth waiting to see this mean old snobby lady. We waited a month to get turn away. We were told that my 16 yrs old biological father either needed to be present, a copy of his Driver license, OR a court orders. This deadbeat father was never in this kid life since 2 months old. I have no court custody because there's no reason to sue. But this lady with her attitudes do not care & wouldn't listen. It didn't even matter if the kid stepfather was standing right in front of her. She wants to see document. There's no way I'm going to court & delay our ONLY vacation for this year. Our trip is in 3 months, already paid for & non-refundable! I was in so much stress. For another month I went back and forth with the Child Support Dept. Did some research & we got nowhere. Finally, thank goodness for Yelpers!! They suggested to go to multiple post offices. And that's exactly what we did. We end up at the Helmet office; paid for standard package and got FOUR applications process in 30 mins! Surprisingly our passports came within 2 weeks! So glad there is still good people out there.. read more

There was a Payment made for a next delivery it has been seven, this is a horrible buisness practice. The older gentleman (who they said was a manager?) with the gray hair and glasses should not be in a position with dealing with the public. It is amazing that he can be so unhelpful, lazy, rude and defiant and still keep his job. They need new management. Very frustrating to come here before they open and see the parking in front of the post office full and realize it's all the employees parking there, leaving no spots open for the customers. I stopped by the other day before 7:30 am and watched four employees getting out of their cars parked directly in front of the door. This post office is always packed. It doesn't matter what time of day it is. Although 11a thru 1p are especially frustrating with lines out the door on most days. There is only one APC (automated postal center) on site, and there is usually a line for that too. The staff is friendly enough, and many of them are bilingual (Spanish & Tagalog) so that's a plus. When you search on the USPS site, it doesn't show up, and it's not in my GPS.... that's fine, cause I hate waiting in the long lines in Old Town Murrieta. One of the worst experiences ever! Wait times are endless, promising an hour, nobody ever answers. I have a time sensitive situation with a package rhat has remained undelivered for 2 months! Nobody seems to call or help. The phone recording never gives an option to speak with anyone and just keeps asking for the same long tracking number and spurs back the same information you can get online about the package in post office limbo. As crazy as it sounds this is a great post office. He folks behind the counter are really helpful, even when it's packed. There are several ways to mail letters and packages, either by utilizing the automated methods or by speaking with the employees behind the counter. Passport documentation is also available so it's pretty much one stop shopping for that stuff. Overall a great experience if you have to go postal. read more

Post carrier put the wrong package in our mailbox- then came to the door and accused my son of taking it. Umm no- you put it in our mail box, we were going to write on it - "Not at this address" - we had only had the mail for a few minutes... so didn't appreciate the attitude. My son had no idea what the mail carrier was even talking about, because I was the one who just got the mail on my lunch break.
