I purchased a small item from a business in Lake Elsinore and they dropped it off at the local post office 6 days ago. However, it hasn't moved from there yet. The tracking says that it's still pending acceptance (?) there at the post office. I called USPS and was told my package is there, still waiting to be accepted. (?) I'm 70 years old and have NEVER heard of this or had to deal with anything like this. The item is a small part for a saxophone, nothing special or expensive. And what IS this acceptance process? Here in Illinois we drop off what we're shipping and the post office sends it on its way. No one at my local post office knows what this "acceptance" process is, we pay the shipping and it gets shipped. Like normal. read more

They keep delivering my mail to old address even though I filed for extended forwarding. Over and over I have had them not forward my mail. If you try to call lake Elsinore post office directly THEY NEVER EVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE! ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO STREAMINE ANY ISSUE WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE! No one likes going to the Post Office. I get it. But I REALLY hate the Post Office when this is the closest location to me. First off- plan on being there way longer than necessary. They are super freaking slow and lack motivation. It's like the staff could care less about you having to wait a long time. Annnnnd the attitudes. Don't get me started on that. Eye rolling and sighing. Muttering stuff under their breath. Excuse me, have you heard of customer service? Do you even know what that is? It's like they know they are employees of the post office, so they just don't care. They know their jobs are safe or something. I don't know what it is. I'm guessing here. Trying to find a way to understand the horrible treatment from staff. Case in point, go to another Post Office if you want better service. read more

I was struggling with a package and I couldn't get a hold of someone over the phone so I can to the post office! And was met with a lovely employee named Luis! He was absolutely incredible there were a few people ahead of me however he made sure to stop and acknowledge me and told me he was gonna be right with me which I absolutely loving customer service! He was incredibly quick with everybody else, and with the big smile greeted me and asked me how can he help me today and the issue was resolved fairly quickly! USPS give him a raise! read more

Sigh. I hate piling on with bad reviews, but this place is rather 'ehh'. Never had the rude treatment mentioned by other people but... a) This place is slow. Frankly, I think they modeled the animated sloths at the DMV in 'Zootopia' after these people. b) I won't say they're rude, but pretty monosyllabic. Not very helpful, that's for sure. c) There's a kinda-cool mural on the wall over the counters. Just stare at it when you're in line and think 'Calgon, take me away!' Still, they're usually not overflow-level busy except near holidays, and parking's OK. This part of Lake Elsinore is a little sketchy at night so I'd be careful about picking up the mail after dark. read more

I have been going to the Lake Elsinore Post Office for over 17 hrs and never had a problem, until now. June 14, 2023 I went in to mail a $1000 lottery scratcher and claim form. I handed my envelope to the clerk and she gave me a receipt with tracking. Mail was to arrive in Sacramento by 6/16/23. It didn't get there. I checked tracing daily and it always said, Received by Lake Elsinore PO. My envelope never traveled. Now, it's missing. Yet it never left the Post Office. Needless to say, the USPS will not be responsible for losing, damaging, or in anyway mishandling your mail. That is the sad part. I am offered $100 for their poor service. The California Lottery will not be responsible for the PO actions. This leaves the customer totally out of luck. FYI: For your own protection, USE Registered Mail for very important letters and packages...and anything of value. Always check your tracking number to check on your traveling mail. Lesson learned! Thing is, my letter Never left the Lake Elsinore Post Office. At least not by USPS vehicle! Extremely disappointed in the service and the result. read more

I hardly come this way to the post office, but because someone broke into our mailbox, I have to go retrieve my mail at the post office. Not sure if they are remodeling or if it's just closed, but all that is available is a small room like closer sized. There's a doorbell that you have to ring and someone will come to the door to help. I explained my situation and she found my mail. The lady was nice and courteous. I was just telling her that there was no sign saying that we had to pick up our mail. I just went because there have been times where we don't get our mail from the box and once it doesn't fit, they save it downtown and you have to pick it up there. I assumed that's what had happened, but no. Overall no issues and they were nice throughout me being there. read more

I mistook my appointment date and was turned away from the City of Lake Elsinore in regards to passport services despite having all of my paperwork ready to go. This is not our first rodeo. I get it, appointment only. The ladies there had a passive aggressive demeanor which made me not ever want to return. We came into the post office with HOPES of being helped out. Shaq is THE MAN! We took 10 minutes being helped out by him. He was very kind and understanding about our situation. As a matter of fact, the entire post office here is kind and welcoming. Absolutely the worst post office ever so I do Instacart for my income and I had ordered a new Instacart card on April 5. It was supposed to be in my mailbox on April 17 and it wasn't so I let the next day go by and I called them in the morning and ask them if they have seen it because I have never had a problem and it turns out they lost it so I have to order another card. This not for USPS Casino Dr but for the USPS. I ordered a book of stamps online on July 22nd, the 23rd it reached KC Distribution Center and was delayed there to the 29th. My stamps are supposed to be delivered today the 31st. It took 9 days to deliver a book of stamp's imagine if that was your mortgage payment and it was delayed 5 days you would probably be charged late fees what happened to the service of the USPS read more

Yesterday morning I called the service number to inquire about a package that was possibly taken from my door after it being "delivered". My confirmation email said that the package was scanned and delivered on Sunday evening. I called USPS on Monday. The representative that I spoke to confirmed that my package had in fact been scanned and delivered and left at my front door. She even checked their geo-tracker and it matched my house location. She also said that the mail carrier remembers walking up to my door. Since nothing was at my door I thought it may have been taken and they thought the same thing. The solution I was given was to provide the merchant with a letter from USPS saying that my package had been stolen in order to attempt getting it replaced. That same afternoon I see a mail carrier walking up to my house with my "missing" package. I felt like they simply lied and made up a story to cover up for their mistake. Since the confirmation I received on Sunday evening was scanned and confirmed as delivered, I really thought that it had gotten stolen from my house. I went to the extent of contacting the merchant and telling them about the missing delivery. I wasted so much time investigating all of this all because someone at USPS scanned the package way too early and DID NOT deliver my package on the said date. This makes me question how truthful USPS really is with their customers about mail and package deliveries. They just attempt to cover up their tracks. read more

I'm home all day. My husband is home all day. My son is home from 2am to 5pm. Yet I still get SORRY WE MISSED YOU when something is a signature needed package. I did the reschedule, waste of time. I called the 800 number when the redeluvery request was ignored and the sassy chick that took my call told me to get in my car and go to your Graham office because it's "open till 8pm." There's so many things WRONG with the suggestions she gave that it's almost laughable. At least tell your call center that NO, YOU ARE NOT OPEN UNTIL 8PM ON SATURDAYS. I know common sense is really dead now. This is the most incompetent post office I have ever dealt with. Every single employee who works here is rude. As soon as you walk in they sigh loudly roll their eyes and glare at you. When it's your turn they just kind of stare at you when you're walking up and don't respond to anything you say. I'm sorry but if you don't want to deal with customers maybe don't work at a post office.... Also, I constantly get the wrong mail. From streets on the other side of the lake too. I tried to go back and return peoples mail so it can be re delivered to them. They laughed at me literally and said they don't re deliver mail and told me just to keep it. I cannot have important things delivered to my house because this post office has a HUGE problem delivering the correct mail. We have had a package that has said "out for delivery by the end of the day" for a week straight. And they don't care. Last time I was in here some lady was going off because she mailed herself a letter suspecting the office was tampering with her mail. She got the letter in a completely new envelope. Meaning they open her mail, tampered with it, and then repackaged it. She also had video footage of a mail carrier coming back to her street several times just to drive around, he wasn't delivering any mail at all just being weird. Idk what is up with this place but they need to be investigated. Very unprofessional location and I feel like there is possibly illegal activity going on here as well. read more

Seriously the worst post office ever!!!!! I have informed delivery and it says that my package couldn't be delivered because there wasn't a secure location to leave at my front door. It said a notice was left. The peach slip. 1. Saying there wasn't a secure location is BS. 2. They said a notice was left. Well, there was NOTHING left. No slip, NOTHING! My suspicions is that they tried to deliver to the wrong address. The problem I have with this is that it was food for my bearded dragon. The shipment was LIVE INSECTS!!!!! Seriously!!!???!!! It says it was attempted to be delivered at 7:12 pm. I was sitting on the couch. No knock or doorbell ring. This isn't the first time I haven't got my packages. They deliver to someone else's address a lot. It's not hard to sort the mail and get it to the right ppl. I would be way more understanding if this happened here and there. But this happens so much I've lost count!!!! And this package wasn't just a regular package. These are LIVE INSECTS!!! Food for my lizard!!! I am now out close to $500 due to carrier misdelivering my package. Post office has completely wiped their hands clean of my situation as well. Seller has attempted to file an insurance claim. Unfortunately since tracking says "delivered". His claim was denied. GPS tag is of no use either since I have a communal "Clusterbox". I've filed claims through USPS and the Postal Inspection office. Have also attempted to file a Police report. Not a single agency will help. All because carrier claims to have delivered to correct box. I'll be using UPS or FedEx when it comes to high expense items from here on. Definitely can't trust the Lake Elsinore USPS any longer. read more

Are you kidding me??? I was on hold for an HOUR to talk to someone at the main USPS customer service number, and they told me I needed to talk to the local office. Lucky for me, they gave me the number, because I couldn't find it anywhere. Then I called for TWO HOURS starting when they opened, but as others have said, they could not be bothered to answer their phone. I had to call the main number again, but at least this time I could leave my phone number and they could call me back. When I talked to the person at the main number, she said (surprise!) I was given incorrect information and that we had to GO to the post office to get done what we needed. And then when my son went there, he was given a card for a non-USPS vendor and basically told to go away. Unreal. No wonder the USPS is losing money - why would anyone want to keep using them when they provide such terrible (or non-existent) customer service??? read more
