He was also exceptionally helpful to the sender who called concerned a couple of times from out of state. More than service with a smile. These postal workers are unsung heroes and my praise for them crosses state lines. A happy ending, I finally received my parcel not too much worse for wear. Whether the postal tape pops off or the box is AWOL, I know I can count on this dedicated crew to go above and beyond.

It's way too small/tight to accommodate the number of customers, and it is often dicey trying to back up and leave when there's a queue of cars lined up onto Stevens Street and no one will let you out. It seems like a disaster waiting to happen around holiday shipping season. Second, I have yet to encounter anyone at the counter capable of greeting me with a hello and a smile and some of the workers look downright miserable. Is it really that terrible to work the service counter in a post office? That's why I use the self-serve shipping scale and label machine in the lobby during the few times I've needed to mail a package. This place would do well to learn by how the Burlington, MA post office does business...the parking area is huge, safe, wraps around the building and is plentiful and I always got the friendliest woman when I worked nearby and needed to purchase stamps.

Signs for mask being required, reminders of social distancing and occupancy limitations. Here's what I didn't like: The customer service. I was appalled how I heard other customers were talked to as well as myself. You could tell that the people processing customer request did not want to be there. I get that not everyone loves their job and that is what is. However, at least be savvy enough not to make it obvious. Fortunately, this is not my normal post office and I don't have to come here again.

I ordered a package through Amazon and it was supposed to be delivered to my house by the postal…read moreservice. Yesterday I was expecting my package. When it was around 7pm I looked to track my package since it hadn't been delivered yet. I saw I had an email saying "delivery attempted". When I looked further into the email it said "mailbox was full". I had ordered a package that was 3 cases of energy drinks and a diploma folder so how is that supposed to fit in my mailbox. My common sense tells me to leave it at the doorstep like majority of packages are left. In my mailbox was one piece of paper saying I had to pick up my package since I wasn't home. But the slip didn't even say where to pick up. I tried calling the number general postal service number but it wouldn't accept my tracking number. Even though this was a minor inconvenience the reason that the very nice lady at the front desk gave me was inexcusable! Apparently the lady that was supposed to drop off my package is known to give slips saying "delivery attempted" when packages are too heavy. The nice lady even said the person delivering "only has a few more years before retirement. My understanding from reading the Indeed website is that the expectation is employees are to lift up to 70 pounds. If this employee is known for not completing her job why does she still have one?
