Postal employees in Andover are wonderful but it is impossible to get any information by phone. The speech recognition system goes to a main USPS number, which does not function. At all. Ever. Horrible for anyone who has a job, is handicapped, or is a caregiver. read more

I come in every now and again sometimes I get this very nice man who asks how my day is and is so friendly. Other days I come a there's a woman who yells at me every time I bring my packages to be sent out at the desk. She immediately told me there's a self service two times I've come in no hi just tells me not to come to the desk. Then laughs at me like I'm an idiot ... I personally prefer going to the desk instead of self service and that's okay ... SORRY YOUR JOB REQUIRES SCANNING SOME ONES PACKAGE AND HANDING THEM A RECEIPT. Went to get 3 passport and requested expedited service. A month had past by and only received 2 passport the 3rd passport never arrived by the time of our flight and our Christmas was ruined.. instead of having 3 Expedited service they only made 2 and the 3rd passport they made it routine service. went to their office and ask for information. They said that they can't do anything about it and sounded very rude to me, also said it wasn't their fault.. read more

I went in for my passport. I did not have all my necessary paperwork but the gentleman named Bill allowed me to continue on with the appointment and then go back home to get it. I have a company trip in 6 weeks so if he refused me it could have jeopardized my trip. He did the right thing and I appreciate it! read more

24 hour drop off box is great for dropping off packages. Biggest issue is not enough staff at the registers. There's almost always just one clerk available, which creates a long line that makes time to wait even longer. Majority of the time the staff are very nice and know how to help in a very nice manner. read more

If you've had a bad experience at the Stevens St. location, you're better off going to the 3 satellite locations 360 n main st, 20 main st, or 187 Andover St. If you have a inquiry about a lost package or mail go to usps.com and file a complaint. If your having issues with constant poor performance of a particular letter carrier file an online complaint or several complaints don't waste your time calling the office directly. read more

I really don't like going to this particular post office location and avoid it whenever possible. First of all, the parking situation is absolutely pathetic; whoever designed the lot did not know what they were doing. It's way too small/tight to accommodate the number of customers, and it is often dicey trying to back up and leave when there's a queue of cars lined up onto Stevens Street and no one will let you out. It seems like a disaster waiting to happen around holiday shipping season. Second, I have yet to encounter anyone at the counter capable of greeting me with a hello and a smile and some of the workers look downright miserable. Is it really that terrible to work the service counter in a post office? That's why I use the self-serve shipping scale and label machine in the lobby during the few times I've needed to mail a package. This place would do well to learn by how the Burlington, MA post office does business...the parking area is huge, safe, wraps around the building and is plentiful and I always got the friendliest woman when I worked nearby and needed to purchase stamps. read more

Warned of possibly having to deal with an ogre-type staff lady I was happily surprised to be given prompt, polite, efficient service. All priority packaging materials were well stocked, and there was plenty of tape and other packing items for purchase. Easy to find and plenty of parking. read more

This is the worst post office Eva created. Apparently, the managers have YEARS of vacation to burn. On any given day, I will get 30% mail that belongs to someone else and 30% mail that is at LEAST 2 weeks overdue. You are better off with a career pigeon set on fire before it takes off. read more

Shipped a package from eBay which was received by this post office and delivered to buyer. The buyer had pictures of the empty box with USPS plastic bands around the box with no item inside. This is ridiculous. I attempted to report this on the USPS website, but the form failed to submit and encountered an error. USPS is unbelievable, and I can't understand how there is no recourse whatsoever when USPS employees steal your shipment items? Never ship to USPS in Andover. My box clearly weighed 5 pounds when it left the connecticut post office. How come it was delivered empty? Better go with UPS or Fedex next time. read more

Absolutely horrible service. I stood in line for an hour and it took the person at the desk another hour to simply ship one package. He left the desk twice while "helping me" to chit chat with other employees and deleted my order "by accident." Rude jokes/ unprofessional. Don't go here ! read more

This post office is always understaffed. It says it has s 24 hour self service lobby yet they never have any shipping supplies on the rack in order to actually use the 24 hr self service machine. Their is no personality to the office and no music. Just plain depressing place. read more

I just called this post office to find out about their passport application service. The lady who answered was the most rude person I ever spoke to. She told me the times they are open (which I already know) in most rude manner possible and hang up on me while I was still talking. I would not use them again. I've never had a more unprofessional experience in my life. I had a package shipped to me via USPS (not by choice) and when I tracked it, it told me that the package had been delivered. So after searching my building and visiting the post office right next door I discovered that this location was the root of the problem. I called and was told a very vague story about the package being scanned wrong. After the fourth call that day I was told by the fourth employee that I would either receive it later that night or the following morning. The following morning came and still I did not have my package. I called and spoke to the "manager" who didn't really have much to say other than it had been delivered to the wrong location 8:45 the previous day. They knew it all along when I had called that morning at 10:00 am and sat on there hands the entire day while I called over and over to find my package. When I asked why they had done nothing to retrieve the package the "manager" simply stated that they "had put a phone call into the location"..Every person I spoke to during this labyrinth of idocracy wanted nothing more than to get off the phone with me and seemed somewhat entertained by my problem. That's what you get with the USPS. I'm not surprised in the least and still don't have my Laptop computer. Yeah, I'm not writing about a 5 dollar item. Beware. They suck..big time. read more
