My Big Apple pals sent a holiday package to the wrong zip code and mispelled street address. I went to this post office on a busy Monday and even though I didn't have a tracking slip or number, the diligent staffer looked for it for me. He was also exceptionally helpful to the sender who called concerned a couple of times from out of state. More than service with a smile. These postal workers are unsung heroes and my praise for them crosses state lines. A happy ending, I finally received my parcel not too much worse for wear. Writing this review will not impact or change anything, but I need to get it off my chest. 1. Lawrence Post Office is the ABSOLUTE WORST in MA It is a big joke, lines out the door and mail carriers, (at least on Allston Street), deliver mail at their convenience. 2. Rude personnel at Lawrence Post Office, a bunch of nasty women and men that probably should have retired or quit years ago...They treat the citizens of Lawrence like they are pieces of shit and get away with it. 3. Our mail carrier, (Allston Street), does not deliver in the dark, rain, snow, sun glare, or in general when she is just not in the mood..No one can say anything, because remember this is Lawrence you are treated as 2nd class citizens and that is the way it is. Up until today, I haven't had a bad experience. Today, though, at the bulk mail office, the woman who answered the doorbell (she told me she'd been there two weeks) told me she isn't supposed to accept 1st class bulk mail after the CAT (critical acceptance time) of 1 pm. Um, wrong, according to the US Postal Service Handbook, available online. The CAT is for mail to get a date of THAT DAY, after that your mail will be processed tomorrow. Really hate when a new employee has not been trained correctly. read more

Worst customer service ever! They dont introduce themselves when they answer their phones. Supervisors are NO HELP WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR DELIVERY MEN LYING ABOUT DELIVERING PACKAGES (I was home all day waiting for my package) They speak to their customers as if we don't have a say! Mailing legal papers to a building location with PO boxes. Papers returned undeliverable. Sick to death of the lack of service. FedEx & Ups have no problem delivering to the mail room area. read more

The mail handler who delivers mail on Howard street in Lawrence is the worst ever. Every day, he puts half of my mails inside my box and the other half is hanging out of the box. When it rains, my mails are completely soaked. Today, it ripped in my hands because of the way it's soaked from the rain. He should be fired. He's sooooo terrible. I've never written a review about anything before but I feel like I need to write something about this place. First off...This is the WORST post office I've ever been to. I went to pick up my package and one of their employees JIM was a complete asshole to me for NO reason!! He yelled at me and was NOT helpful.
