At the US Post office it is $9.85. The woman behind the counter charged me $17.71. When I asked if there was a mistake the woman behind the counter said post office rates have gone up. I said I sent one of these at the post office last year and it was less than $10. She said "no this is the current rate". I was in a hurry so I paid and left. Once I returned home I looked up the post office rate online and it is $9.95. I called and when I asked her about the markup that they have, she rudely said with an attitude "we are not the post office". I said "do you have a rate sheet so I know what I would be charged in the future if I brought another envelope?" She said "no, it is whatever comes up in the computer, I just work here. Complain to the manager." The envelope was already sealed and addressed, it just needed a priority mail postage. The way the price was presented to me was deceptive. I could understand if they charged a small fee or if they had to pack up an item and charge for that, but this was just a rip off. The woman behind the counter could have easily said that the price they charge has nothing to do with the price the post office charges. Instead she blamed the high cost on the USPS recently raising rates. Lesson learned, I will not be using A1A "rip off" Pack and Ship at Driftwood Plaza, 3830 S. HWY A1A Suite 4, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951 Tel. # 321-726-1667 for anything going forward. Do yourself a favor and avoid A1A pack and rip off. Go to a genuine UPS, USPS, Staples or some other place that has an honest and transparent pricing policy!

This is my neighborhood post office. Yesterday I went in, just needing to get stamps. I called out Hello--and waited, again waited and said Hello again, waited a little longer and again said Hellllooo?? This was over 2 min I would say. He finally came out and I said you saw me come in right?--aren't customers more important than what is going on back there?? He said "you do not determine what I do"--I said NO I do not. Hoping someone else does though-unshaven guy forget his name. Very, very, rude--that he would even think to say something like this to a customer is really beyond my comprehension. Had one other problem with him -- do not remember about what, but again recently. I said I wanted some nice Christmas stamps--he said oh they only come in a book -- oops he forgot to mention what a book might cost ?? Left with a couple of single stamps. Apparently there are some restrictions in shipping cell phones. She later admitted she didn't know that. I'm pretty sure it's their job to know that. They represent FedEx but aren't actually FedEx. I can't put in a claim unless they do it and she refuses to. Zero customer service. I lost 157$ and an expensive cell phone. My son works off his phone and had to fly back to the United States. It would have been cheaper for him to fly back and me hand him the phone in person. It's been 6 weeks. I won't ever use this company of FedEx. The owner said she could have the phone shipped back for 97$. I don't trust her and refuse to spend any more money on this. Complete lack of knowledge for shipping internationally. So sorry I put my trust in them. Found out later that it would have cost 70 thru post office.

If you're a longtime loyal reader of my reviews, and there might be almost three of you, you know…read moreI'm a sort of connoisseur of rundown laundromat that are maybe kind of depressing, maybe a little odd. And Cape Laundry is Strange with a capital S. Dr. Stephen Strange Strange. Of the laundromats in Southeast Michigan that I've used only Scrubbin' Bubbles beats out Cape Laundry in terms of being bizarre. Woodward Coin Laundry and Coin-O-Matic both could challenge Cape Laundry in the weirdness department but this place clears em both. I had to go delve back into my own reviews to refresh my memory for all that. I've been living somewhere since late 2024 where I finally have a laundry room so haunting dingy, dank and decent laundromats has gone by the wayside. But I found my way back into old habits on my Florida vacay. I needed some place to clean the scant few clothes I had brought down with me. My sister and brother-in-law had been frequenting Cape Laundry for some time and steered me that way even though their trailer park has a laundry facility. It's only 0.4 miles down the road so I figured I'd give it a spin. Cape Laundry has strange but cool murals inside and out. It's got a dive bar next door if you wanna hang out there while your clothes cycle through. I don't drink so I stayed out of there. Every single machine has signage on it saying not to slam the door or lid. Well, at one point I shut one of the dryer doors too hard and one of the gals working reprimanded me. Fair enough. But then I hear her muttering to herself about it more. She had been talking to herself pretty much the entire time but in this day and age I figured she was talking to someone on a Bluetooth device. This kind of raised an eyebrow though. Well, with as few clothes as I had on the trip I ended at Cape Laundry again and the attendant who talks to herself was working again. Looking at other reviews, on here and Google reviews I've learned her name is Sara. Sara again reprimanded me for shutting the dryer door too hard not once, not twice but three more times. I acknowledged after the first time, too, saying it wouldn't happen again! Hammering away at that petty grievance so much is pretty wild, but the lady does seem to have some mental issues. She again talked to herself the whole time I was there, sometimes seamlessly switching back and forth between the conversations she was having with customers and the one she was having with herself. I talked to my sister and brother-in-law about Cape Laundry and severe Sara and it turned out they'd had a very similar experience with her. She was going off about other people's different minor social infractions on my second visit, vocally stewing in her animosity. I'm sure that place never ceases to give Sara something to be miserable about. My clothes came out okay both times. No complaints there. A lot of patrons might slap this place with a one or two star review if they had a visit similar to mine but I'll try not to Karen out too hard. It was rather odd and entertaining and sometimes I just have to be glad I'm not constantly irritated and miserable like some people I meet. Maybe Sara can get some meds to level her out or find love with someone who doesn't let the washer lid bang down too hard. Til then tread lightly at Cape Laundry and don't slam the lids on the washers and dryers! I'll only tell you once....
