Typical post office located just off of a main road through Brevard County, Florida. Line is always long. Today, it was out the door. I refuse to wait an hour to drop off my prepaid postage envelopes and get a receipt... Hope his doesn't come back to bite me in the ass. If you have a lot of time and don't mind them being closed during lunchtime, come here! Must be because of the holidays you say?!? Nahhhh, this location only has two people working and although the line isn't always out the door, there's always an impressive line. You can probably attribute this, in part, to patrons not being prepared when they get to the window... But it can't all be customer error. Postage rates keep rising, but staffing keeps falling. Not sure post office, we need you, but we don't need all of this. read more

I like this post office! There's nothing super special about it, it's just your average post office, but I like the architecture of this older building, it has a retro feel/ look. The staff has always been helpful each time I stop in. I've never had an major issues. I've never had to wait long in line- usually less than 5 minutes. This is the post office I hit up for all my shipping needs! read more

I rarely go into the Eau-Gallie Post Office because of the postal workers behind the counter. They are an unhappy lot. If they don't like working FOR the public they should find another career. I ran in today because I was close to it and had packages to mail. 2 workers were behind the counter looking at their computers as I and another customer waited. Then another worker came from the back and acted ticked off that he had to wait on me. He was the snarky balding, skinny guy, wish I'd gotten his name. What a grumpy old man! That will be the last time I do business there. There are happier people at Fedx. People don't ruin your day by going to this post office. read more

Attempted to call the post office at the number listed for "phone" service 321-259-5574, but instead a fax machine responded. So I sent them a fax. The package I submitted today 3/14/2019@2:46PM does not show up on tracking. In the past all items I have submitted with tracking have been scanned in so they show up in the system immediately before I exit the building. I suggest a group hug and training at the office so everyone follows the same procedures. Scanning is not down because I checked another number from another post office and data was available immediately. Thanks for your service. Just trying to keep things on point. Check your stuff in. If you are selling tracking I should see tracking before I leave the building. If post office needs more details please check your "fax machine" for details. Also if you buy a two way telephone splitter you can hook up your phone and fax to the same line but if you publish a line as a phone, then it should be a phone. (shrug) read more

There is always a long line. There are usually only 1-2 employees at the front. The tall gentleman is an absolutely miserable person. He is rude and has no patience for people who need help or have questions. The woman with the curly hair is an angel. She has gone above and beyond for me and I hold her in high esteem. I have been waiting for something in the mail to get delivered to my address, that was mailed out on the 5 th. of September and is still not here!! I called the post office and kept getting the run around by all of the employees saying that it is in the mail that I should be getting it soon with bad attitudes and sarcasm. I spoke with the so called manager and he had said that he would check into it for me and give me a call back, and I never received any call back from anyone!!! My mail carrier just puts mail into the boxes while talking on the phone and does not pay any attention to what he is doing at all, and I am thinking that he has put my mail into someone else's box and it has gotten thrown away somehow. I do not like this post office at all, and they need to stop going through mail carriers like water and put someone in place who does knows what they are doing and does pay attention to where the mail belongs in the boxes!!!! read more

This review is receiving 5 STARS because I never have to go here again! First & foremost, I want to thank Chris for the wonderful review from a few posts prior to this one. Secondly, & more importantly, I am only speaking for myself. Never in my 33+ years of USPS service have I seen a more needy, wanting, ignorant and selfish group of people, but not all, customers I had encountered in the 10 years that I was stationed here in Eau Gallie. Early retirement or transferring to a different location were not feasible options to me, however coming correct over the counter was. Since many of you failed miserably, this is for you. To begin to help you understand what we dealt with daily, from September 2011 to July 2016, there was not any onsite supervision. We were left to our own devices to supply customer counter service, truck loading & dispatching, boxing mail, contacting off site supervisors for package location issues, going to the bank to get change (usually done during my lunch hour so as not to leave co-workers alone for extended periods) and trying to get 3 employees their required 1 hour lunches daily. Many times, we had no choice but to close for that 1 hour lunch period because we didn't have a relief worker available & get the early afternoon dispatch ready: collecting outgoing mail, parcels and dispatching the truck. The fact that all of this was completed successfully daily within those 5 years is an absolute testament to us!! That occurring while facing the following issues DAILY: Beggars moving clockwise from our entryway to the Eau Gallie library to Subway & back hounding customers who, in turn, wanted us to correct that issue. "Poverty stricken" customers who were angered by having to pay $35. for a lock change when they lost not 1, not 2, but 3 keys that were provided at no charge when they originally moved to that address. Then we would see them in our travels at various locations: Dog Track betting lines, stores buying their cigarettes & alcoholic beverages or local high end restaurants! Customers, who are also known as "Florida Couch Surfers", would come in horrified that they've not received their mail or W-2 forms or tax return checks because they've changed their address or moved without changing their address numerous times within a matter of weeks! "Don't you guys do that for me?" Not kidding! Senior husbands who were fearful they would purchase the wrong stamps that would in turn irritate or infuriate their beloved at home! Condescending office workers who speak to us as if we are there for their own personal use & abuse without any courteous behavior. Their manners are atrocious! I personally made the decision not to patronize these businesses; doctors, lawyers, politicians based on the behavior of their office managers or staff. The politicians lost my entire households votes based on the person that was chosen by them to represent their office. And last, but not least, the manicured, pedicured, hair straightened or bleached mothers coming in to receive service while their children in tow were unbathed, unkempt, uncombed and generally in need of TLC, but Mom looked great! Everyone of these situations would try the most patient of humans, but as a former employee, they would simply steal time away from customers who only wanted to purchase stamps or mail a parcel, not become entangled in this web of drama! USPS: No, we don't have public restrooms. Why not? Would you want your fellow Eau Gallians to have access to your securely kept parcel before you had a chance to retrieve it? Or perhaps you've heard of the "sanctity of the mail"? Or give open door policy to thousands of dollars of stamp stock while we are giving our time & attention to other customers? 5:00 PM Closing: It's only 5 minutes past, why can't you take 1 more customer? In the process of closing, there has to be money counted, deposit calculated, computers closed out for the day, mail & parcels separated, computerized scanning completed on outgoing parcels left by customers in the last possible minutes before closing, truck prepared, loaded & dispatched in a timely manner or we suffer the consequences from our superiors. Your poor time management shouldn't become my issue. In contrast to these examples, are the genuinely goodhearted people I had the pleasure to meet and become close to. I've watched families expand, children grow, military personnel returning from overseas and I even took a picture with Flat Stanley for an elementary school project. My family & I have grown close enough to some of my customers that we still see each other socially. Some very dear customers offered their sincere condolences when our son passed in 2011 & even attended his services. I am truly blessed and thankful for my career with the USPS, but I'm glad it's over! read more

I HATE THIS PLACE !!! THE POSTAL WORKERS & DRIVERS ARE LAZY AS H#LL......I pay for 2 day shipping and for my order to be sent to my door .. how come after hours of waiting something tells me to check my box and its a pink letter saying my package is at the post office .. why the hell is it there and not at my front door why pay for services and get something different thanks to them i waist a full day plus miss my dead line .. on the website it says my package is out for delivery today not its at the post office if i wanted to get it there i would of said post office but since i have a broken leg all my things are sent to my mail box ........thanks for effing up my day !!!!!! read more

Over the past year this branch has improved remarkably! I'm there almost every day for my business. Excellent customer service, always with a smile. Almost all the previous employees are no longer there, some of whom should never have been working with the public. Better yet, they are processing mail at an incredible pace. Almost never a line. Today is the day after the ML King Monday off and of course the line was huge at the Post Office. The workers in this Post Office are normally as miserable as sin.. and today there was only ONE person behind the counter. His name was Ed and believe it or not, he was the most calm, polite and helpful person that you could wish to meet! Such a wonderful change to encounter someone so extra nice in that place !!!! 3 stars (being generous) to the Post Office but 5 stars to the counter guy Ed! read more

The personnel at this location is very helpful. Always receive service with a smile. My complaint is about the USPS tracking service. I'm schedule to receive an item today but never showed up. I tried to call this service but all the recorded message I got is from 3 days ago. Nobody to talk to provide a more clear explanation. If a call FedEx or UPS I always get to talk to a live agent.
