I have to get on my tippy toes and then reach my arm in to feel around. The 15 minute parking out front is still an issue for me. The police and other municipal agents park there. Not to go to the post office that's for sure. The other day I went here and a friggn school bus was parked there. Aaaa! So annoying. That's why I now park in the lot up above. I'm a paying customer after all I should be able to park in the lot for the 2 1/2 minutes it takes me to get my mail. Service is ok but there's usually only one person there. At the most I've seen the line only 3 people deep. I love this old building still. It's a pretty cool place to get your mail. Other than the parking situation.

The line grew as we all waited while a woman was expressing her discontent about not receiving her mail to Gigi. Gigi was supremely polite and incredibly patient as she explained to the woman in multiple ways (because the woman was just not understanding and continued to be upset ) that she could not do more than she already did (by taking the woman's name and phone number to give to the supervisor of the mail carriers) And that all the supervisors were gone for the day. Then, when the woman left and it was finally my turn, Gigi helped me understand the most economical way to send my gifts. She is just awesome and if I lived closer, I would go to this post office more often because of her!

Customer service was not handled with care or respect, and simple questions were met with irritation instead of assistance. The lack of courtesy and efficiency made the entire experience unpleasant. This location seriously needs improvement in both professionalism and customer service standards. She was honest about walk-ins for passport. Acknowledged me not sure if the gentlemen can help me at the moment. She stepped away to ask him. Got the gentlemen for me to assist with my passport. Before anything else, Monica had me fill out a form to complete. As I was done, I waited in line but Monica was busy. Lady by the name Marvese came out, looked right at me, did not say anything or smile and then looked away. I was really upset because why be there with your RBF face and not be of service to the people that need things to be done? That's a shame, whether she's a manager or not, please check on her because ain't nobody deserve to be treated in that manner. So I let the dude behind me to go to her because she clearly did not want to help me. When Monica was free she directed me the right person to help with my passport. I gave my form to the gentleman. It's been a while so I thought I would update…read more I've primarily going to this post office for many years now and I've never had a problem here. Can it get busy and be a long wait at times? Yes but the workers are efficient so the line moves. Are the workers super friendly all the time? No but I still get a "hi" and a smile and I've never experienced any flat out rudeness or overtly bad customer service like I have at other locations. I've sent packages across the country and even internationally and they were able to help me with decent efficiency. I even made a passport appointment for my toddler a year ago and the employee was super patient with us dealing with a toddler and getting photos. And they were very on time with the appointment I scheduled. So honestly I don't have any complaints. I've been to other local post offices where I've experienced flat out rudeness or blatantly bad customer service but never at this Walnut Creek location. It's the one I go to if I happened to go to another location where workers flat out didn't want to help me. This is a post office that has workers that know how to do their job.

They wanted me to pay more for shipping (the shipping was more than the actual cost of the item). Instead of advising me on what I should do, the lady simply said, "if it doesn't get there, that's your fault". I went to this location and explained to Freddie of my situation and he immediately provided the best service as possible. He helped me repackage my item and subtracted the difference of what I had to pay. The employee at the North Broadway didn't even want to subtract the difference, and wanted me to pay $7.50 on top of the $1.32 that was already paid for. Thank you for the amazing service Freddie!!!
