But I made my way to the second floor and see the door for vital records. The door was closed, but the sign says to come in. The waiting room is very small with about 5 chairs. The person at the window was very helpful, took my request, accepted my payment, and came out a few minutes later with the documents. Everything took about 10 minutes in and out. They are located in Martinez, across the street from some condos. There's a parking lot, and the place reminds me of the DMV but less cars and people. Overall, a quick and easy experience.

A Walnut Creek officer is giving someone a ticket on the side of the road. No problem. Everyone is driving super safe and careful. Plenty of space, no issues. For some reason, this cop is going back to his car and just flips out. He's waving at all the cars to get out of the lane. He's going nuts because people have to audacity to drive in that lane. Huh? When did this start? A cop is giving someone a ticket on the side of the road and now that lane near him is not to be used? I mean this guy is flipping out. Cars are quickly moving over to the left side out of terror - there are almost a couple accidents right there. He isn't aware I have a dash cam and have it all recorded. I am slowly moving down the lane and he's yelling at me (see my screenshots). The guy is psycho. He's going absolutely bonkers because we're not all getting out of the lane. We're nowhere near him, everyone is going super slow. You can see in my screenshot he's yelling at me. Wait, what? This guy jumps in his car and for some reason starts tailgating me. What exactly is it I've done here now? Why is he tailgating me? If a cop saw me doing that to someone else on the road, I'd get a ticket pronto. Why is this okay for this guy to do this to me? I pull out my phone and get the camera ready. I've done nothing and if this jerk pulls me over, I will be recording everything. He eventually gets off my tail and goes down another lane and speeds off. What was this guy's problem? Why is he yelling at everyone and terrorizing drivers who are doing nothing wrong? Why is he tailgating me? This is not acceptable behavior in any shape or form. No one was near him and everyone was going very slow. I have the whole video. I am a Walnut Creek Police Officers Association supporter. I have given numerous donations (see my screenshot - I have a bunch of these stickers and will be removing the one from my car window). The spot I found was dangerous and cars were whizzing by. I jumped onto a drain pipe, afraid to get into my car, and waited for help. FORTUNATELY a CHP officer arrived, and calmed the situation, friendly, courteous, and professional, then asked whether he wanted me to stay. He handled the whole situation, perfectly, even helping the tow truck get away safely, etc. This officer and office needs to be commended, for sure. One of the first places I came when I moved to Martinez last August/Sept. It only took five minutes…read moreto get a card and they let you choose the one you want (mine was sea otters) and a ton of community pamphlets w/lots of info re classes, events, etc. It's a very small library but it's very clean, quiet, organized, with a water fountain, and clean restrooms downstairs by the little bookstore, my favorite part. Full of lots of great donated books/hidden treasures. I met some really cool and nice people there from volunteering there a couple of times..Nancy, the other Nancy, Helen, Irene, etc. I found that most people in Martinez are really warm & friendly in general. There is also a nice gated garden patio w/tables in the back if you want to read outside, as well as a bench in the front of the building + a ramp.

Had a friend of mine call 911 the other night because of what happened to someone in the middle of…read morethe night. Was a very weird scene. She and I saw things that were brand new to us. The Fire Dept came out FAST! It was 1AM and they were so considerate of the neighbors. We live in an Apt complex, and they made sure they were quiet coming in and during the process. I met them in the parking lot, showed them the way, and then got the heck out of their way. Watching them was a trip. They were all so calm, experienced, and knew exactly what to do. You know they get training, but to see it in action was quite a sight. It was almost like a well orchestrated concert. Everyone played a part and did it well. I think our fire, police, and other emergency people need to be thanked a lot more than they are. We call on them during a panic situation and they come in fast to make things better. Thanks for being there for me and my friend when we needed you most!
