DONT GO HERE. wish I could put -1 stars Went to the United States Postal Service location at Fig & 51st on May 29th around 11AM just to drop off a prepaid package, and the experience was terrible. The woman working there was rude and dismissive from the beginning. I asked for a receipt after dropping off my already labeled package and she told me they "don't give receipts there." When I mentioned other USPS locations do, she responded with attitude and told me to "go back there then." What made it worse was she refused to even scan my package or place it somewhere secure. She told me to leave it in a clear box near the front. I politely asked if she could scan it and place it in the back so it wouldn't get taken, and she refused saying, "No one will take your package." Completely unprofessional customer service and a very uncomfortable experience for something that should've taken less than a minute. After looking online, it seems many other people have had similar issues at this location. USPS seriously needs to address the customer service here. read more

A large woman that works at the post office with the Clerk ID Number 05 is very unprofessional, rude and aggressive. She is extremely unprofessional and has extremely poor customer service skills. I do not believe she holds the skillset to be a lead clerk operating a post office alone. She kicked me and several other guests out of the store at 12:25 pm today. She was in the middle of a transaction with me when she got up proceeded to kick me and all guests out of the store. One of my packages was in the process to be shipped. I had to open the Mail Drop door at the clerk desk to retrieve my package and collect the rest of my packages to leave the post office. She was irrational and irate and even yelled at me. At 12:20 I walked into the store. A male was shipping off a package. We were the only two guests in the store. When he left. I finished packaging several packages to be shipped. I waited a moment and walked to the clerk desk. When I got to the front she said "next time don't come to the desk until I call you." I assumed that meant she was not ready to service me. So I stepped back to the front of the customer line even tho I was the only guest in store. When I went back to the front of the line she said "You can come now. What do you need? ." I got to the desk and said " I have a few packages to ship off." The clerk asked me to put all my boxes in the delivery drop off door. I told her that I would prefer to do that transactions one at a time to avoid getting packages delivered to the incorrect location. Considering the boxes were identical and this mistake has happened in the past I urged to her that that was not my preferential way of getting the packages shipped and told her that I would prefer to ship them separately. I literally had to beg her to do her job. The 1st QR code was scanned and I got the receipt for the 1st box. I put the second box in the drop off door and she continues to aggressively urge me to put all of my boxes in the drop off box. I declined the offer and she stated that it takes too long to do the transactions one at a time. I was still the only guest in the post office. I tell the clerk that I am on my lunch break and I don't want to go back in forth with her. I even stated " I'm literally begging you to let us do this transaction separately so the boxes don't get mixed up. " I even asked her if there was a manger or someone else that could help me since she didn't not want to ship my packages. She said " no it's a manger at another post office you can go to." She was on some strange power trip. While having this discussion more guest came into the post office. She grew angry got up and started yelling and proceeded to kick me and everyone else out the store. I had to start recording the incident while I grabbed my boxes to leave. I informed the clerk that I was recording her and that I would follow up with filing an incident report to start a formal investigation with the postal service. While I sat in the car the woman continued to fuss at other guests outside of the post office telling them that the post office was closed for the rest of the day even though she put a sign on the door that stated " out for lunch" I believe she only said this to other guests because she did not want me to continue waiting for the postal workers to get off lunch so that I could continue shipping my packages. While I waited a post office delivery man came to drop off packages. She opened the door for him and walked around the plaza to go shopping for lunch. On her "lunch break" she even took the time to record me in the car while I was on the phone with the post office documenting the occurrence to initiate a formal investigation. She even yelled at me from outside the post office while I was on the phone with customer services. This incident is highly alarming. The woman was very aggressive, rude and unprofessional and does not have the skillset to service the public. The woman was so crazy that when I was leaving the post office she slammed the door and said "girl bye". On her " lunch " she took the time to do all of this I assume to intimidate me. It was all totally unacceptable inexcusable behavior. Usps needs to have better discernment when hiring postal workers. read more

The people there are racist, I don't understand why they overcomplicate their job if they don't like it, they can always quit! The service Is Unprofessional, rude. Made an appointment for my little sister to take out her passport. She just turned 18 so we were told that she had to bring her high school, IDs, and any form of identification, like her birth certificate! This Hispanic big built lady, did not want to proceed with giving my sister the paper she needed to get her passport which she need before leaving to the Navy. The big lady denied it because according to her, she doesn't have a drivers license or another ID form, but we presented many and maybe she was having a bad day or whatever the case was I really don't understand how other Hispanics could be racist towards other Hispanics??? Like make it make sense you hate yourselves just say that!? only thing I regret is not getting her name because I could've reported her to corporate, and to be honest, I will make another appointment but somewhere else because this is a nasty low value facility. It's not even clean to begin with, many customers said that they have made several appointments and had to request days off to get their documents, but unfortunately, it's people like the lady that attended me today they make it hard for everybody. Sorry I have been coming to this branch for some time now but I have to call out this lady for giving me such a bad attitude and denying me of service. To put some context, I came in and ask if the system is back up and asked her if can take mail now(last week system was supposedly not working). So she opens the booth and does not answer my question. And then I had ask her again if it was working and she said," you're trying to be funny why do you think I took it". Then I had told her that I am not a mind reader and she said you know what take your package and mail it elsewhere. This location does not scan packages with prepaid shipping labels and do not give receipts. I've asked them to please scan the package and they said they will eventually scan the item. All the women that work here are miserable and can't even print out a label for you. This is why people go to UPS. Both cashiers have a dry personality and look like they hate their jobs. They tried to refuse acceptance of a pre-paid square package that they thought was too large and heavy. It was smaller and lighter than the max USPS quota and it was pre-paid with shipping label attached. It was just a few minutes passed 4:30 AND the lady was clearly inside talking to another person. I went to drop off 4 pre paid packages (normally theres a window with a sign "drop off pre paid packages here") but not here. I walked in and a nice lady told me to drop them off to the left side of the office so I tried to open the window and another lady screamed saying to not put it there but to drop off on the other side. I go to the "mailbox" she told me to go to and there's 3 different ones which I did not know which one to use considering they weren't LETTERS with stamps. She got even more mad and since she was there talking to a customer for too long she loudly says "I don't know why she's having so much trouble dropping it off" and I said "i've never had to do it this way and she screamed so rude and unnecessary.
