The lady who " helped" me out was rude right off the bat. She had no customer service skill / ability to demonstrate here. She did not bother to watch her tone, attitude or lack of care to help. Any detail she found wrong with the package I was returning she would would just state what was wrong and look at me. She rolled her eyes and gave me a blank stare instead of answering a question or giving a suggestion. I didn't have strong tape to seal the bag so when I showed her and told her why she only looked at me and said " it has to be closed ! " I asked if " she had tape and whether I can use it and seal it right away" . She rolled her eyes and said " close the door! " and I did , she left to get it and came back and said " open it here " . I couldn't believe she would be so bothered by providing minimal help with this. I looked at her coworkers and thought " wow ! " this behavior is acceptable because they are the experts here but if it was the other way around and they were the customers at any establishment where they are not the "experts" then I'm sure this employee would have hoped for the best support from whichever establishment visited. Ultimately, this was my first time choosing to make a return here and the last time. Fed Ex or UPS have had long lines maybe or are further out locations from me to do a return but I'll take a longer commute over coming here where treating others with basic kindness and basic human mutual respect is non existent. read more

Wow! I stopped by today to walk in to submit my passport and an employee was extremely rude and lacked simple customer service skills. I was asking a question needing info and the lady answered by belittling me and spoke in a condescending tone. Instead of helping me she argued and said I wouldn't tell you that if it was something else. Mind you it wasn't busy at all and I felt like she wanted to talk to me as if I was ignorant just because. I had applied to a Federal job with USPS and this was a written test and waiting for an extremely LONG TIME to get an Orientation date. I had even reached out to Lucy Aguirre about my application status because I was waiting in December 2021. On 12/6/21, I attended an Informational Meeting which was a Pre-Orientation where they discussed many work shifts available. At no time did they mention the job was "temporary." She told me to keep up checking my emails for notifications which I did and on December 28 got an email from Melissa Medere in HR to attend Orientation for 3 days effective January 3,2022. I showed up at 7:15 am and waited until 8:30. No answers because the staff stated Melissa said "we were not on the list." Long story short, they gave a runaround option to attend Orientation next week then said they will "let go most likely if I attend because I am in the last group." This is per a conversation with Jenet Curiel who I had explained the above. I asked why was this temporary position ever mentioned before and only at that point AFTER I spoke to Ms.Curiel??? Excuse me?? It wasn't my fault when I attended Orientation and was postponed via no fault of my own???? I filed an online complaint and it is getting forwarded to the HR Manager. It really remains to be seen if anything will be done by USPS HR or not. EXCUSES AND BUREAUCRATIC MESS IS WHAT I KEEP GETTING FROM GOVERNMENT JOBS. As a customer, they do their jobs but when trying to be professional and start a career, they drop the ball and disappear. I shipped out a package USPS 2-day priority mail from New Jersey, going to Manhattan Beach, CA. on Aug 10, 2022 that contained $1100.00 worth of fine jewelry. The tracking showed that the package was in transit to the next facility for the following 9 days. Unfortunately, it never made it to Manhattan Beach. It obviously had arrived to this Los Angeles USPS facility soon after it left NJ, but was never scanned upon arrival. The package finally arrived back to me on August 22, 2022, only to discover that all of the contents were missing! It appears the box was cut with a razor or knife and the jewelry was stolen, and the box was re-taped. All but a green piece of paper of apology from this postal facility was inside the box when I received it which can be seen in the first photo attached. The second photo shows the semi-diagonal fine cut made towards the top of the box. Not only did this USPS facility fail to scan the package upon receiving it, but they also failed to scan it upon returning the empty package to me! Hmm...are they just lazy? Or hiding something? I see other customers that have posted numerous complaints in regards to theft by this particular USPS facility, stating that they need to be investigated by officials due to numerous packages being stolen and empty packages arriving back with missing contents. And now it has happened to me! As a small business, I cannot afford to take losses like this. Earlier today, I had left a message with their local police department in Los Angeles, and I will be filing additional written complaints against them. After this incident, I no longer plan on shipping higher end items through the postal service. I feel this agency is no longer trustworthy, and I will be switching to a safer and more reliable delivery company for shipping my products. read more

I never write reviews but I was blown away by how quick and easy the process was to get my passport for the first time. You don't need an appointment, you can walk in and apply. The hours that they accept applications are from Mon-Fri 9:00am-3:00pm. I arrived at 2 p.m. and was out of there in 30 minutes. They can take your photos there too. The only thing is, they only take money orders (which you can buy there) or checks. I had to use 2 checks to pay as it was for separate payees. Highly recommend!!!! read more

I had never been to this main postal station. I learned about the passport walk in. (no appointment necessary) I will start with it's easy to find and plenty of parking. They have a parking lot. Passport hours are from 9am to 2pm. I got there about 9:15am there was already a short line. The ladies handling the applications, wow! SUPER NICE!! Patient and informative. It took me a few rounds to fill out the passport application which caused a delay. Purely my own fault. I suggest getting familiar with the passport application ahead of time as well as bringing copies of all your pertinent information and check book unless if you prefer to purchase a money order which you can there at a different set of windows. Oh also you need a black ink pen. I had filled mine out in blue. Application needs to be filled out with black in only. In conclusion. Great customer service. I hope they give these ladies a raise. Never in million years I though I would be giving 5 stars rating to anything connected to the USPS, but I am so impressed with the customer service I received from the Consumer Affairs, U.S. Postal Service - Los Angeles Area that I had to share it. I shipped a package via FedEx SmartPost, which utilizes both FedEx and USPS services. While the package was in FedEx's possession they damaged it and relabeled it incorrectly by putting their own FedEx facility address instead of the original address that was on the box. I called FedEx, but they were no help and extremely rude! They refused to admit their mistake or offer any help! After calling the regular USPS toll free number a few times, I was finally given the number of the Consumer Affairs, U.S. Postal Service in Los Angeles Area (serving my area). I called them and explained the situation. First of all, I wasn't on hold forever! It is hard to believe it, but 5min after the first ring a very polite lady answered the phone. She took the issue in her hands and not only figured out what happened, provided me with proof of FedEx's mistake (that I was able to add later to my FedEx claim form), but also emailed and called me multiple times to update me on the investigation and the outcome. She even called FedEx and had them admit that they screwed up. Anyway...I am truly impressed. If you have an unresolved claim with USPS and you need help, just call their Consumer Affairs office. This experience makes me want to use regular mail for my bills again. :) read more

This is a favorite HUB post office of mine, they have great operating hours and access to po boxes during weekend hours too. As a vintage reseller I come here often to ship my customers their orders. Ive never had an issue with mailing of a package or during a transaction. The staff is friendly . Aside from shipping packages, I also purchase money orders from here as they are very economical. It's the POST OFFICE ..... worst than the DMV. It's HELL This post office has the most ( incompetent ), ( irresponsible ) staff. After getting no help via phone, talking to the most impolite with bad attitude manager and saying ( give me your number I'll call you back ) and me saying to her are you sure you're going to call me back and she swear she will. I Waited giving her a chance to prove me wrong but nope 4 hours passed and she never called back. I checked online and saw my package was at this post office being held for pickup. So I stop by, tracking number in hand, showing the post office employee that my package is physically at this post office. Simple right??? Just find the package and hand it over, right?????? Nope. Once again I've come to expect ( inefficiency ), ( negligence )and ( incompetence ) when it comes to government bureaucracies. But this place takes wasting people's time to a whole new level. She checked my tracking # than she said ohhhh I can't give it to you I have to send it back to your sender I was like here is my drivers license this is me the owner of this package, and on top of that I have the tracking # from you guys. This is the worse place to drop off bulk shipment on Saturday !! I've tried 2 times to see how they would take care of my bulk orders!! Both times, I've dropped it off by 9:30 pm (cut off time, as I was told). My packages did not get scanned until Sunday!! All my packages were super late! My customers usually get Their packed by Monday or Tuesday. This is not the case!! The worker do give a shit about your business!! ! If I could give 0 stars to USPS postal service in this area I would. I sent out a package via first class mail with a certified receipt its been two weeks and it still has not been received by the addressee! I already opened a case on this and I've called multiple times to resolve this issue and no one has been of any help. I still do not understand why my package that was supposed to be received in less than a week has not been received and we're going on THREE WEEKS now. Government agencies are lazy and could care less about their jobs. This is the last time I ship anything through USPS. I will indefinitely continue to ship with fedex and UPS. Oh and not to mention their hold times on the phone RIDICULOUS.. OVER 45 minutes just to speak to a representative.
