The customer service here is always intentional and complete, one of the benefits of having a smaller post office. The lines can get long, especially during holidays, but once you get to the front, the postal clerks do a great job taking care of your needs. We never feel rushed. read more

Staff is elderly with attitudes and no sense of urgency. There have been multiple times our mail lady could have dropped a package off to our home or lock box but left it at the mail office just so I could go pick it up... especially during the holidays- they had no simple way of doing this without waiting in a LONG line all the way down their hallway where people have mail boxes.... I simply had to pick up two items- not ship things like everyone else in line was doing... One day I walked in the door 2 past the 4:30 cut off time and they flat out ignored me- I simply wanted to pick up my mail... not wait in an insane line. They don't care. Much like the MVD. We avoid this place or any post office for that matter unless it's to pick up mail- we much prefer the ups mail/shipping stores. Better service and less lines as well as a smiling face that greets you. This place could learn from them. read more

Absolutely careless when delivering mail, delivering packages to wrong people, not placing keys in mailbox for packages and also leaving package door keys laying on the ground after delivering mail and lost packages all together. Seriously the sweetest workers here! I needed to mail a letter and they took care of me seamlessly. Unfortunately these workers do not get enough credit for all they do! I appreciate them and their amazing customer service! I even witnessed one worker working with a customer who was getting confused and unable to hear what she was saying. She kept her calm and really treated this older gentleman as she would want her grandpa treated. She never lost her Cool's as other people may hear and that spoke volumes to their customer service with that experience I got to witness alone! read more

I had the pleasure of taking my 15 year old son to the post office for the irse time and he was amazed on all that it took to mail something/an item. I personally haven't walked into a post office in a long time... but taking him was my favorite part of it. Business Hours Mon-Fri: 8:30am-4:30pm Sat: 9am-Noon Sun: CLOSED ======================= I might be in the minority for LOVING the U.S. Post Office, esp this one! I visit this location so often to drop off parcels, I could literally be an "honorary" employee! With the convenience of printing postage online, I never have to wait in line! Maybe it's just customary to hear the "impatient" sighs by any person walking in the door from the sight of a long Post Office line, but I tell you that the line MOVES very quickly here...even during the peak times, (Saturday, late afternoon, and December). The employees are friendly, efficient, and consistent. There is a "self-help" postal machine in the lobby, where you can buy postage or print postage to mail a package, but seriously, if you have internet and a printer, why would you want to wait in line to do this? There is a PARCEL drop bin in the lobby too, if your package is ready to ship (no waiting in line!). I like to think that the USPS implemented this for all of the regular EBAY Power Sellers... I have seen people come in with an unpackaged item, expecting the Postal Clerks to package it up for them...uh, this isn't the UPS Store. There is tape and various padded envelopes available for purchase in the lobby too. You can pick-up an application for a passport here, but they don't have Passport Service available here. I hardly ever have to go to the Post Office anymore. But, when I do, it's nice to have one that is open 24/7. Also, this was sylheti has an automated postal kiosk, which makes it very handy for most of your postal needs that are already in an envelope, or packaged up. However, just be sure you're using the right function as sometimes people use the wrong one and end up with postage due. read more

Pretty sad that I can't use City of Phoenix issued checks to purchase over $100 worth of stamps at the Litchfield Post Office, but I can go to Sam's Club and buy $250. worth no questions asked. How did a division of Wal-Mart become easier to purchase stamps than the government agency responsible for issuing them?! "Dee" at the counter refused to cash a government issued check, even after identification. Dee first says "nobody ever allows you to pay by check for that amount", and then I showed her my bank register where I did just that at that office months before. She then said I needed a letter authorizing me with a City of Phoenix letterhead - which I produced. She wouldn't even look at it, and she then declared that "it had to be on file with the PostMaster". So I asked for the Postmaster. Who is on vacation until next week. So even following policy didn't break her dug-in heels. Throughout, she kept insisting that "if I'm a criminal, she is responsible to pay back the $250.", and she said it in front of several employees and other customers THREE times. Gee, thanks for assuming I'm a criminal and proclaiming it out loud. I showed several times how I'm legitimate in every possible way. Worse, she suggested to me that the Maryvale location might have a different policy and sent me there at 4pm without mentioning that it closed at 4:30. That was just thoughtless and rude to get there to a locked door. Fortunately, all of the other people in that office are usually very nice, helpful and professional. The lines are usually pretty short and the people are *usually* nice. "Dee" at the counter is clearly hanging in until her pension kicks in with a serious chip on her shoulder and a sour demeanor. The Post Master should do a better job of who to put up in front, and who to make sling boxes. Dee has no business up front. read more

I've been coming to this location consistently for the past 6 months and have always had a great experience. There are always about 4-5 people at the registers and if the line is too long they call for back up immediately. They are all very helpful when I have a question and greet me with some small talk and a smile every single time. Compared to other post office locations this is by far the best. I am very impressed! Every time I have gone to this P.O., I get the same lady, who is the grumpiest, most rude individual I have ever come in contact with! I have finally gotten to the point to never get in line for service, rather, I use the self-serve machine in the lobby. This post office is small and usually there are no lines. Unfortunately there are two employees that are extremely rude. One of which I haven't come in contact with in awhile, maybe she quit. This is the second time I have written a negative review for this Post Office - the fact I returned after the last incident demonstrates my ability to forgive and forget. Also, this concerns one employee only and, sadly, does not reflect the cheerful, courteous service offered by the gentleman and an older lady whom I did not see there today. They have always displayed excellence. In fact, I might have been writing a very different Review had I timed my entrance better and transacted my business with the gentleman who is always helpful and pleasant. As this is my second incident with the same woman, I am determined never to return. I had two large packages to send to my grandchildren on the other side of the world, one for each and addressed accordingly. My first visit was to my local UPS store where the proprietor provided me with a quote. The cost was prohibitive so he referred me to USPS. Pity, as he is a really helpful gentleman. I decided to try Litchfield Park Post Office again, it had been a while. The officious woman was there and pleasant, initially. My two packages were filled with a variety of gifts for two children across the world. One package I had been filling with clothes and toys and candy for a while and sealed without checking the exact numbers of everything...as well as weight and price. The other, more recently packed was a birthday gift. The Customs Declarations are small but require much information. According to the officious associate, they require very specific lists and prices. The problem is, I didnt recently buy everything and each package contained more items than there was room to list. In addition in my haste in filling out the forms I had transposed the lists. Rather than let me explain this and get new forms to fill in, Godzilla began to speak to me in a condescending and arrogant tone. Why? Couldn't she have been pleasant about it? Absolutely NOT the way you treat a customer - even a USPS customer - anywhere, anytime. She was cross examining me as if she suspected me of lying. Arguing with me, talking me down. I am a senior and my mind is not as sharp as it once was. This horrid woman makes the TSA agents at LAX look sweet and gentle. I was insulted and angry and I stormed away to rewrite the Customs Forms. I decided Litchfield Park Post Office no longer deserved my business - $140.00 worth of international shipping as it transpired - so I drove to another Post Office where I received excellent service and the forms I had filled out were acceptable. There was no condesencion and the business was conducted in a civilized and courteous way......and it is only a few miles further to drive. To Godzilla, the Military Police or whatever she is - how dare you treat your customers in that way. read more

Stay clear of Mercedes I!! She is rude and loves to roll her eyes and raise her voice at customers. This is the second time I have dealt with Mercedes and both times she has been awful! When I complained to the postmaster she excused her behavior by saying that she behaves this way when she is nervous. I'm sorry but I don't know Mercedes and her "nervousness" comes off very unprofessional! The other clerks at this post office are very nice and welcoming, but not this clerk!! Today my concern was to make sure my mail gets forwarded to the correct address. I have placed a change of address almost a year ago. I have not received anything the supervisor said they only forward first class mail. My question was if the new tags I ordered online would be forwarded as they were not last year and I had to pay for them again because they were delivered to my previous address. After telling me my change of address expires on the 16 of Nov. I explained the tags were purchased on the 31 of Oct. and it takes five business days to deliver is why I am here. Laura (the supervisor) slammed the door in my face! That little wooded door on the side. That was not necessary. I am taking time out of my day to confirm that mail does not go into the wrong address. Speaking to a supervisor I thought would be helpful. I was treated with distaste, unprofessional behavior. I have never been treated with so disrespectfully by a supervisor at Litchfield Park post office. I am not sure whom to address the concern to?
