I live in Hawaii, but every time I have an Amazon package go through this post office it mysteriously never leaves this post office. Many others are reporting the same thing. Mail doesn't just disappear into thin air, so there's obviously theft happening. There needs to be an investigation into this. USPS is a federal agency, and mail theft is a federal offense. read more

They don't even deserve 1 star!! this post office is clueless!!! I had my mail placed on vacation hold and it was to be delivered on 11/27. I arrived back hoping to have mail waiting but it was not there. The next day I waited in line at the Goodyear post office to pick up my mail. They said it was being delivered and then they had me talk to the manager about the situation. The manager said he would have one of his workers call my mail carrier and find out if she had my mail. I waited for him to return and let me know what he found out. As he walked by me I stopped him to find out what was going on....he told me I needed to wait in line AGAIN and ask them myself! This post office has lost or delayed many orders and packages over the past 3 yrs . I believe they have processing and management failures. Horrible post office. The mail carriers can't put mail into the mail parcels correctly and/or remember to leave keys so we can retrieve our packages. In addition to their onsite service, I've had several packages delayed and/or lost, because they do not scan the packages before they go out. So, if you have a small business and your customers are tracking packages via USPS & tracking number they will get this as a message: "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item" and you risk getting bad reviews because the package will not be scanned until it gets to its next destination. Do yourself a huge favor and GET A RECEIPT or DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE all together. Another problem is PARKING. All their employees use the Customer Parking Lot, including to handicap spots. If you need to park here or if your handicapped you will have to use the dirt lot and walk up a slight incline. They simply do not care about you or your packages. read more

This is the worst run Post Office I have ever dealt with. They tell us we have to pick up our mail due to our cluster boxes being vandalized. However when you make time to go during their open hours there is no parking due to employees taking up all spots. Then when you go to the door where you are supposed to go to get your mail there is no one available. If you can't do the job and deliver what we pay to have done then at least have the courtesy to have someone available to handle pick ups. This fucking place is a joke!!! Their website says that they have walk in on Saturdays for passport processing from 9am-12pm. So we show up at 8:30 to get in line and according to all the folks already there said you have to get a ticket and they only serve 10 people. What the literal FUCK!!! Terrible post office! If you are coming from the 60 freeway, you cannot access the driveway entrance! You have to turn left in front of the post office and drive in a circle all the way around a field/crop to get back onto the main road. Only then can you access the driveway entrance. One in the parking lot, you will be mowed down by impatient drivers and people that are in a hurry to get into the post office and stand in line! Thank goodness I just had to drop off a package with a pre-paid label. I will not be coming to this post office again! read more

US Post Office - Terrible parking lot! - Post Offices Near Me - Goodyear, Arizona

Evidently this is the post office responsible for routing delivery trucks to my mailbox. We've noticed delivery times at our address in north Avondale have recently become tardy or missed entirely. When I reminded them mail is due by 5PM, I got a response that I felt deflected from my concern. The response didn't address the 5PM deadline nor why my mail was missed today. Instead it was a canned response that attempted to excuse the substandard service due to needing to contain costs. Even worse it dedicated an entire paragraph to suggesting I pay for a PO Box and drive to get my mail. I never asked for my mail to be delivered at the crack for dawn or even early afternoon. I would think demanding delivery by 5PM is not excessive. Again, I restate the request in my original support request. Please fix the staffing and routing problems that cause mail to be delivered late (past 5pm) or not at all. read more

I had a great experience at the Goodyear Post Office. I walked in on Friday morning 8/25/2023 to mail a priority box and there was a long line. I thought for sure that I had a long wait, but Yvonne changed that for me. She asked if I was paying by credit card and I was, so she guided me toward a kiosk machine that processed parcels. I informed her I did not know how to use it and asked if she would help me through the process, Yvonne without hesitation did just that and saved me so much time. This office is often very busy and it's kind of hectic to get into but once you get parked and go inside, the line goes pretty fast and there's a clerk there by the name of Amber that is very helpful and she makes the process a little bit easier. read more

I have used this local post office for years without issue but today was the worst experience I've ever had there. I went into the location to get a return for the Priority mail shipping I paid for because my package never arrived to it's destination and was considered IRRETRIEVABLY LOST by USPS. The staff (Steve) and one of his coworkers were very polite and said I would need to speak with a supervisor about the matter. I was directed to the Postmaster who was talking to someone directly behind me in the lobby. I approached her and said "ma'am" once she was done with that customer, without looking at me she proceeded to walk pass me while lifting her index finger as said she had to speak with other customers whom she simply assumed arrived before me. This postmaster (horrible person in a supervisor role) went to speak with other customers in a separate line before proceeding to walk past me again but miraculously chose to acknowledge my existence after she caught a glimpse of me staring at her. I provided my receipt to her and explained at the beginning of May I shipped a package via Priority Mail and was told it would arrive at its destination in 2-3 business days. I told her I went through a horrible process over nearly the next 30 days with this and that I had file a request to look into the status of my package only then to be told by the post office it was "unfortunately deemed to be lost". I filed a lost/stolen package claim and told her ultimately it took nearly 5 weeks for my package to reappear in the system before it was returned to me. Mind you, I paid the fee to have it intercepted once it showed back up in their system because I had already issued a refund to the person who was to receive the package and didn't want them to get the refund and the item I shipped them. The postmaster didn't listen to my full story, cut me off from speaking and told me because I didn't pay for the "Priority Mail Express", she was denying me a refund. She cared less about the money I lost from my package never making it to the buyer who was expecting it or the money I spent for services with USPS to not only provide a shipping service but also the intercept package fee despite them providing me nothing in return. This woman is horrible in every way. Her customer service was absolute trash, her demeanor and attitude was equally trash. USPS should be embarrassed having this person in a supervisor role and even more so having her interact with customers. I used to use USPS all the time for my shipping needs but after this experience, I will never use USPS services for shipping again. I highly recommend people pay the extra cost for UPS, FEDEX etc. The right thing for this lady to do in the name of excellent customer service should have been for her to approve the refund considering the crap I was put through. I hope a representative from USPS reads this review among all the others and takes action to correct this issue that clearly I am not alone in experiencing. read more

I don't know what is wrong with the management of this office (or maybe it's USPS in general?), but this is the most mismanaged branch I've dealt with in my entire life. A just received a very polite apology letter from a supervisor in Customer Service support stating that a package that I was sent was indeed "potentially miss-delivered" and because it was 'possibly' not mailed with additional insurance, tough luck. I don't want an apology, I want my package. It's not bad enough that it is expensive to ship through USPS, but they can track your package, pretty much minute by minute from the time they receive it until the carrier gets control of it, then the carrier loses it! This isn't anywhere near the first time this has happened through this branch. I've chased down packages and luckily have had honest neighbors return "miss-delivered" packages many, many times in the past. Who knows where this latest package is. The really sad thing (besides poor service and not receiving our packages) is we don't have a choice on which post office we have to use. I tried to call the Goodyear Postoffice this morning to find out why my mail is not being forwarded as requested. Phone rings, gives you six choices and when you select one it indicates no one is available and hangs up. No option to leave a message or request a call back - service is terrible! Also the national number - same result - no help. As a result of not getting my mail forwarded as requested, bank statements did not arrive on time, missed invoices being paid, and other important documents being missed. I have gone 3 times in the past two weeks and my mom even went on my behalf and I keep getting told different things every time I come. I requested a green paper that i was told would be sent back to me in the mail after i sent out very important court papers and the clerk #4 told me that that was exactly what i was paying for. Promptly answered phone, tracked down package and called me back. But in the past three months I have had four items I mailed from this location which either took a month to arrive or, in one case, just never did arrive. While I understand that had I purchased tracking for the items I could have found out what happened to them, but it seems the system protects only those who are willing to add that extra cost--everybody else is essentially just rolling the dice and hoping things work out OK. read more

For my first visit here, I would say this post office is a solid choice. Parking was decent, the line was short, and they didn't try to sell me a whole sheet of stamps when I only needed three individual stamps. I would have preferred a far grander assortment of individual stamp choices, but some post offices just don't care to provide that service. Nonetheless, the counter lady was patient with me while I dithered between a Presidential stamp, a love stamp or a flower stamp. All in all, I was pleased. read more

Please make sure you leave the location with a receipt confirming that your items were dropped off! "Do you need a receipt?" "Yes!" They will not care for your items if you simply drop off! I recently dropped off my university textbook rentals and one of the textbook box was lost! I understand that I should have requested a receipt to confirm that my packages were scanned but they were quite busy and I was wrong in assuming that they would simply scan and care for my packages. I called and the young lady was rude and interrupting simply stating "Call Customer Service. There is nothing we can do. Call Customer Service." Customer service was not helpful either. Lorenzo saved the day by going to the USPS in Downtown Avondale to find my certified mail. He knew it was there unfortunately Avondale USPS didn't give a better effort. It took me 4 trips. - [ ] October 1st I went to the post office located on western in Avondale to pick up my mail because I placed a hold on my mail on September 23rd. I was told that all Avondale mail was sent to the Good Year post office. I went to Good Year and my mail was not there. So October 18th I went back and same thing occurred. Monday October 21 I went to the post office and provided a change of address and also was advised to place a holder on my mail because the mail that was going to be delivered that week might not be included in the change of address. On Friday (October 24th) I went to pick up mail (from the Avondale location) because I'd seen what was going to be delivered through the Informed Delivery Daily Digest email. The Avondale location advised me to go to Goodyear they didn't have my mail. I arrived at the Goodyear location and a very nice and a respectful associate advised me that they didn't have it but they would tell the mail carrier to go back to the location to get my mail and come back the next morning. Saturday (October 25th) I went to pick up my mail and again they didn't have my mail. The worst part of them not having my mail is that the mail carrier never even went to pick the mail back up. One of the associates advises me that the supervisor would go and pick my mail up. My only question was, about what time would it be ready? She asked the supervisor (Lorenzo)and he yells from across the floor how can I help you. I'm very puzzled because I thought he already knew what was going on and I didn't understand why he was yelling at me from across the floor. I tell him I just want to know when my mail will be back and he then yells for me to walk over to him so that we are not yelling across the floor. As a supervisor I would think the professional thing to do would be to walk over to the customer and talk to them and not the customer have to walk up to him. I walk up to him and I say I only wanted to know what time to be back and he says well first thing is first do you have a key to the mailbox (first and foremost why would I be at the post office if I had key?). That lets me know he never even talked to his team about the situation which further let's me know my concerns are not being handled properly. Because my Dialect is very culturally influenced and I'm a young African American woman and had on sweats and a T-shirt on and some glitter on my face I felt prejudged and racially profiled due to the lack of professionalism I was receiving and the fact he was talking to me like I was incompetent. He didn't take ownership of the situation or make me feel like everything would be fixed he talked down to me and like I was ignorant. He never even introduced his self he just went right into questioning me and acting as if this was my fault. I've never felt so disrespected in my life. I did everything the Usps postal associate told me to do and I'm having nonstop problems and I all I wanted was my mail. read more

I want to say that I am not a fan of USPS in Goodyear, AZ. First off, my mother (and her cat) just moved to Arizona from Vermont to live with me (and my husband) - and that was stressful in and of itself. Top it off with the post office in Goodyear, AZ attempting to deliver my mothers four (4) priority mail packages to a vacant home (wrong address!) on a Sunday morning (estimated delivery was supposed to be 8/14/2017) - then posting on the USPS website attached to the tracking numbers that the packages were delivered, then not delivered and declared undeliverable due to an unserviceable address (hmmmm....wonder why!). Grrrrr......!!!!!! My mother at this point was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Long story short - LORENZO (the hero manager!!!) was able to look up the tracking numbers we provided on the receipt (when we drove down to the post office as soon as they opened up at 8:30am on Monday morning!) and determined that the packages had been brought BACK to the post office and were in fact STILL in the back. He told us we could take them home with us and even wheeled them out to my vehicle himself. WHEW!!! (This review is two-stars, but I would give Lorenzo six-stars if I could! Best demeanor and customer service skills I have seen in a LONG time!) Thank you so much for your help, Lorenzo! You saved my mother's sanity and now she can enjoy getting settled down into living here in Arizona. My husband (who retired out of Luke AFB after 26 years of active duty service) and I have lived in the Tri-City area for 20+ years and this is the first time this has ever happened.
