This was my first time using a process server and I received little information about the process and next steps. *** Update, in response to owner below*** If he called me and I didn't answer, why did he not leave a message, send a text or email?? I got nothing! I have all of the email communication and it doesn't lie. It shows I emailed him for an update at the end of busn on a Tues. He replied he served the person on Sunday (with no explanation or apology for the delay!) That's 2 busn days I waited. And I had to reach out to him. That's not great customer service. The same emails also show how in the dark I was about the process. Emails show me asking very basic questions about the process and getting very short answers. And no, there was no detailed explanation of anything at the beginning. The long response from the owner only contains irrelevant information in his failed attempt to make it look like he's providing some great defense. It's crazy how some people can't take responsibility for anything.

I felt like, despite ample opportunity to serve my requested documents, they moved with no sense of urgency to get the job done. I read the terms, understood their policies etc and yet still felt they weren't in the business of "process service" especially since it was mentioned several times early on, if they were unable to serve the documents onto the defendant after all attempts I could just file a "declaration of non-service" and ask the court for alternative ways to serve him. Definitely didn't want to have to do that especially since I paid $130 and gave more than 7-days time frame to get it done. On one attempt, I notified them ahead of time that I had confirmation he would not be home, and they knocked and rang the doorbell anyway and counted it as an attempt. I was confused but stayed patient in hopes they would get the job done. Needless to say, they were unsuccessful and ended up filing the Non-service affidavit and I was back at square one after 8 days and $130 short. I hired another individual the next day, and he was served the following afternoon.

Ms. Monica (Fields) was absolutely amazing!!! I have used her on 2 separate occasions. She followed…read morethrough with both extremely well!! She did her due diligence on both. The second time, I was present, I wanted to see her in action. She quickly walked up to the served party, asked a few identity questions, stated that they were served and was done. She is a great service and I know if I need anything served that she will be the one to do it. I do want to mention that other process servers charge extra for multiple locations, but she is extremely reasonable. I asked her to swing by a few "known" locations and she had absolutely no problem doing so without giving me a hard time. This was the main reason that I insist on using her. She took the complexity out of this process. She is very reasonably priced (about $70 a serve). Granted, I live in her area of service, but even so, she attempted to serve/served with little to no hassle, questions, problems, etc. Definitely recommend this process server!! She is excellent in the two times that I have had hired her to deliver. Either way, she will give you excellent documentation (either Affidavit of Non-Service or Service).
