I had a small claims complaint and summons I needed served. I had tried certified mail, but the trusty USPS lost the letter. So, rather than take a chance with the USPS again I contacted Superior Process Services. Tom was extremely helpful and easy to work with. He promptly responded to my emails and voice message. After four attempts, the server was not able to deliver the complaint and summons because the defendant would not answer his door. Tom went above and beyond at this point to personally contact the defendant by phone and tell him that he had paperwork for him. The defendant was home, so Tom immediately drove to defendant's residence and delivered the complaint and summons. I couldn't ask for better service. I used this company for two services for small claims based on their good Yelp reviews. First one, easy peasy. Served and done. Second one, not so easy. Had no good address on the person, but knew her vehicle, license tags, last know address, cell phone, email, family members, etc. Was charged $65 for a skip trace, which turned out to be bad info -so waste of $$$. Paid $65 for service to the bad address they obtained for me -so waste of $$$$. $130 down the drain and I ended up spending even more to refile the claim and attempt service again at the home she owns. Very disappointed in the second experience. There was also some lack of communication as I was submitting my documents for service to this company and we had a delay of about a week as I waited for an answer and never got a call back. I refiled my lawsuit and am using a different process server this time. read more
