DROP OFF: UPS Store #4740. Sat 25 Oct 2025. 1:14 PM. Goodyear, AZ I was first in the return line waiting for assistance to return five items. I was not in a hurry. A worker came to the counter and didn't greet me in the usual UPS style I'm used to. She said basically nothing. It seemed that she was irritated at having to leave her other work to help me, a 70+ year old man. The young woman is black with first name starting with (I think) "K". The first 3 packages were pre-labeled. She scanned them and then TOSSED THEM ON THE GROUND behind her with total disregard for what might be in the boxes. My wife said they were expensive shoes being returned. Then she scanned the next item from my phone, picked up a plastic bag, curled the open bag and tied it in a knot, bending the item's packaging before putting the return label on the wrapped plastic. The fifth item was scanned from my phone and by that time I was so angry at all of this I didn't pay attention to what she did to it. It was then I thought that perhaps she was being passive aggressive to me in that I didn't use the self-service machine. With the 5 return items, I didn't want to deal with the self-serve machine. There was no smile from her, no asking if I wanted a receipt, and no thanking me for coming in today. She just had an irritated scowl most of the time. Later I thought I should have called her on tossing the boxes on the floor, but that might not have helped. Perhaps she was having a bad day, or really doesn't like the job, or really took a quick dislike to me and acted unprofessionally. UPS had better deal with this worker quick before she sullies the reputation of this usually fine store. read more

I came in to drop off several packages that already had shipping labels attached. I went into the store ahead to let them know how many boxes I would be bringing and that I would need drop-off receipts for them. When I got there, the employee taking the boxes seemed annoyed and told me that next time I should use the machines instead. I had two separate orders going to two different locations, which meant making multiple trips in and out of the store with the boxes. When I was finally given the receipt for one of the shipments, I noticed one of the boxes was missing from it. I pointed it out, and instead of checking their system or helping resolve it, I was told that I was welcome to go back and check all the tracking numbers myself to see which one she missed. Overall, the interaction felt dismissive and unhelpful. I made the effort to communicate ahead of time, organize the shipments, and follow the process, but it felt like an inconvenience to the staff. I would have appreciated a little more patience and basic customer service, especially when there was clearly an issue with scanning in the boxes on their end. read more

Went in for a notary after making an appointment online and selecting "I also need a witness." Was told they cannot/will not provide a witness and I had to bring my own. If they do not provide a witness, why is it an option for making an appointment? They were not accommodating and couldn't explain why they would not witness a signature, which actually places less liability on them than notarizing. Ridiculous. read more

Went to this store on 12/22/25 & it was very busy... of course. Even with the holiday crush, the visit was fairly quick. There were at least 9 people working, including the owner. There was a "concierge" to help direct you to the correct line. Wanted special/odd-sized packaging & shipping and was quoted a reasonable price for both. Shipment arrived at the destination the next day, even with regular ground service (it was a local shipment). I would rate this business & it's employees & management as outstanding. read more

This is a nice local UPS store - they did just a huge renovation however it didn't do much for the area for customers to be. Usually there is a line out the door and in AZ summers it's a lot. I understand moving to another bigger location might be out of the question, however I do think managing the line better, perhaps with more help would be beneficial. Even having a "greeter" at the door when the line starts getting long to make sure everyone is where they need to be. Now for the good - everyone that works there is very helpful to the customers. They make sure that all the information is correct and take their time with each customer. read more

This is an update to my previous review. I had no idea that UPS notarized, and I needed a document that was emailed to me notarized. Naomi took care of EVERYTHING for me, from retrieving my document from my email, to notarizing the document and then emailing it back to my lawyer. I have always gotten great service at this location but today will always stand out as the best service I've ever gotten. Today I was helped by Mariah. I had to mail some of my mom's personal items to a funeral home out of state, which was very emotionally difficult, and Mariah was amazing. She treated my mom's things with so much care and took the time to wrap everything in plastic and put a bunch of fragile stickers on the box. I waited in line today for 25 minutes. There were two clerks helping customers and I was in the QR line, and unfortunately for me I'm next in line and the customer at the counter is there the 25 minutes I'm in line. When she finally leaves and I walk up to the counter the gentleman that was there leaves without saying a word. He leaves with a notary bag. Another clerk sees me, and no one helping me and she walks up to the counter. I said I have no idea where he went, and she said me either. Great to drop off packages but the pricing for regular copies and for faxes are outrageous!! I needed to send a 30 page fax and I was quoted about 60$ that's insane!! The people working there were like well you can see our prices online and no, there are no prices for faxes online. read more

Used this store to ship an 8lb item (weighed by store employee). Upon receiving item the label showed item weighed 76 lbs. item was covered with over 70lb tape applied by store. Ups driver recommended I call store for a shipping cost refund as it was labeled wrong. Contact with store. Employee advised manager would get back with me next day. Rude on phone refused to discuss discrepancy. Hung up on me. I have still not been contacted. I will not use this shipper in the future and will advise everyone I know to use other carriers! read more

Beware - I paid $33 to send a 2nd day air envelope. I never received any verification of it being sent and called the store a few days later. I was told the package was probably lost and I should use the UPS website to file a claim. The website didn't recognize the tracking number (because the package never left the store) and asked for two additional ID's that I couldn't read from the faded receipt I had been given. I called the store several times over the next few days trying to get the information. I left 2 messages that were unreturned, was put on hold two times for long periods before I hung up. Once I had someone really helpful take all my information and tell me they would get back to me that day but surprise, I never heard back. I finally just disputed the claim with my credit card company but I will never go back to this store and I will never again send an overnight package with UPS. I was told on the phone by a store employee that the value of my items was unimportant - they would not be reimbursed. There seems to be no accountability with the store or the company and I am now out the cost of the shipment plus the lost items. read more

Once again I'm writing about this store. I forgot I had a return and couldn't turn back around to go to the better ups store to do an Amazon return. Thought I could just go to the one I am close to and saw the line was huge and was like maybe I'll do the self checkout return so I can get in and out. NOPE, machine says I have to see the associate. So I wait in line for 10 whatever. Once I see the worker she is pleasant, but tells me that I can't return items next time if I don't have the original packaging box or label ??? The items were two rings one came in a box and a small bag and the other one a box. Left intact. I kept them in the boxes but why would I keep the envelope it comes in that gets tossed away. That is not true I make sure to press the option that says no box and no return label. I then proceed to show her on my phone what it says and she says I'm incorrect. Isn't this what the clear bags are for ? To reduce trucks on the road right ? As Amazon says on their website. I am tired of getting attitude from all the females that work there, whenever the men help me I have no problems I'm starting to thing this place doesn't like other women coming in there ? Not sure. I'll take my returns to staples instead of this location it's down a few blocks. Attached is the option where it says UPS STORE WILL PACK, label and ship your return for free! Be careful when you call there to ask a question, you may not get accurate information. Recently I called to see if they had a Notary on staff that day and I was told YES they had someone there and they would be there all day until 7pm when they closed. I arrived there at 6:02 and was told Sorry the Notary has just left at 6pm. When I mentioned that I called and was told that they would be there until 7pm, the girl again said sorry have a good night and turned and walked to the back. Needless to say I had to scramble to find another Notary at late notice. So frustrating!! They really need to inform their staff about giving out incorrect information! read more

Let me start by saying I can confirm some of the other reviews regarding 'rip off' practices. I call it FRAUD. I sent 2 boxes (purchased at the UPS store). The box size was printed right on the box and nothing was over stuffed. The price seem unusually high. I questioned it but was told that was the rate. I was in a rush so just paid and went to my next appointment. That night, I looked at the tracking info and sales receipt and found that both box sized were inflated by 1 inch or more. When I checked the prices for the correct size, the price difference was $5-6 per box. I contacted UPS Fraud (fruad@ups.com) and they told me to contact the owner (why would they care, UPS is making out too). When I did try and contact the owner, he can't be found, always at a different store and no one will give me his cell number. This guy has 3 stores, Goodyear, Buckeye, and Glendale. If he rips off every package for a couple of bucks, that's pretty good money - Do the math! Stay away and tell your friends. read more

The service here is a joke. I brought in documents to fax. They told me $2 for the first page, $1 for each additional page. (Ok, how ridiculous is this fee to fax- it's literally a phone call- but it is what it is) I was faxing loan docs to an 800 number, toll free. After waiting, I asked if everything was ok, to which a different person said it was taking long because it was 14 pages and LONG DISTANCE. I explained to her that 800 numbers are toll free and she argues with me stating that since she has to enter a 1 first, it was long distance. I told her that's not how it works as I waited for it to go through. When it finally went through I was charged $29 because she said it was "long distance." I tried to explain to her that's incorrect and asked for a manager but there wasn't any available. I paid because the other option was leaving without paying and essentially "stealing" the service and that's not really how I am. When I got back into the car my husband said they didn't explain to me a difference in price for local vs long distance and I go back in to get a refund. Thankfully, a different person, who knew what she was talking about, and tells me the other person was wrong (!) and that 800 numbers are considered local. Unfortunately, she can't refund my money because the manager is on vacation and she doesn't know when she'll be back. I had to leave a note with my name and phone number. This has been the first time that today's teen culture has shown me how oblivious they are. I'm sorry but her age really showed here. read more
