Is there a reason why I'm not getting any personal letters in the mail. Lately off and on I have been getting letters from my mother and some I'm not getting any at all and some has checks so some how it's either getting lost in the mail or they are getting stolen from the post office. 3/31/16 - I have PO box at this location because it's close to my office. When renewal time came up, I didn't received any request for payment. Just found out my box was locked out when I went to check for mail. I paid and got my box reinstated. I was told my new key wouldn't work until after the weekend. 4/4/16 - I showed up on Monday, after the weekend, like I was told, and my key still didn't work. Forcing me to wait 30 minutes before someone could get my mail for me. 4/5/16 - I came back, my key worked. But when I tried to order extra keys for my employees, I was told my account was locked due to non-payment! While the guy who took my payment was right next to me! He confirmed I've paid, and could vouch for me, but still forced me to go bring back proof of payment before they could help me at all! I actually went to get proof of payment, and came back with it. They claimed the office they needed to call to fix the issue was off for the day, and wasn't answering anymore calls for the day after I wasted another 30 minutes. 4/6/16 -I went back, and asked to speak to a supervisor. He seemed very sympathetic to me, but ultimately apologized for not having any answers for me. Gave me 2 phone numbers to call, and ask for someone named "Anita". 4/15/16 - I've called both phone numbers before coming in person every single weekday since. The numbers never get picked up, and every single time I'm told "Anita is in a meeting". While waiting to speak to a supervisor again. Two other patrons, young Caucasian males in front of me on line, started making racial jokes about me. Then started joking about assaulting me, making motions of how they would punch me, and exclaiming they'd kick me like the rochettes! The two wannabe thugs were joking about how I'll shoot them if they didn't stop. Then joked about how I couldn't if I wanted to because of the no firearms sign. Now the kicker, one of their employees overheard the whole thing, and chuckled under her breath! 4/19/16 - Called USPS main office consumer affairs (702-361-9230), filed a complaint on this office. 4/22/16 - Donita calls me, apologizes for issues. Assures me they'll be taken care of, promises I won't be charged for the keys. Refused to give me a time frame. 5/14/16 - I tried to get an update on the keys for my PO Box, in person. Teller TC, tells me my PO Box is unpaid since October 2015. Tells me to go get my proof of payment AGAIN. Called USPS consumer affairs again, and had my case re-opened. Was told someone would contact me by 5/18/16. 5/18/16 - USPS consumer affairs dept connected me directly to this office. Tells me my keys will be ready 6/1/16, and that I should come in and pick them up then. Another 2 weeks, feels like they told me anything to get me off their case. 6/1/16 - I came in to get my keys. Found out my current keys don't work on the box anymore, they've locked me out for non-payment again. 6/3/16 - I came back with my receipt. They tell me I never paid them, and that my receipt isn't in their records system. They also gave my box to someone else. I left, and came back with my credit card statement, and talked to my bank. The payment definitely went through. But they're insisting I never paid them. I get about 200 bills a month to this PO Box, which now belongs to someone else. It'll take me literally a week on the phone to change my mailing address with all my vendors. I don't even have a PO Box right now, despite prepaying for a year. I'm seriously considering legal action at this point. read more

I'd leave 0 if I could. Talked to two ladies after getting off the phone at 7am with another one informing that they open at 8 an I have to call back. Mind you I just wanna stop my package from being sent back. I call back at 8:00 no answer for several hours. I finally get through to a lady who has an attitude. Never even knew this post office existed, but found myself here to mail an international envelope. Quick and easy with the Automated Postal Center. There's a Public Storage next door... wish I got a storage unit there plus a PO Box here. Would've been convenient! read more

This is my favorite US Post Office; the lines may get long but they actually move pretty quickly and now they have a machine in the lobby where you can mail packages (and buy stamps) and not wait in as long of a line. The only thing is, be careful when you buy stamps from this machine....they don't always come out and you'll end up having to wait in the line you wanted to avoid if the stamps get stuck (I have seen it happen twice to people in front of me; in one case I could help the guy because I was printing something and his last stamp came out with what I printed). The customer service here is stellar - I adore the clerks, they are all generally incredibly friendly. Maybe one of the older lady clerks isn't as open but she is still friendly. Almost every time I've been in, I have a brief, small, chat with the clerks...nothing to hold up the line. Appreciate this type of customer service at my neighborhood post office! read more

My recent, personal experience has to do with package delivery for the past 2 months. I live in a large (700-800 people) apartment community that has to rely on the Spring Valley postal facility for mail/package delivery. They have been consistently screwing up for at least the past 6 months, but particularly in the past 2 months. Not just with MY packages, but everybody in the entire apartment community. Longer story short, I have filed complaints with the BBB of So. Nevada, Channel 8 News Investigations, and the Postal Regulatory Commission. Dirty.....16 people in the line to get a package, no place to sit, being disabled and unable to stand I wrote and checked the boxes on the back of package slip the instructions where to deliver it, [porch or front door, they asked], never saw it nor heard from them, still waiting for my medications. This a good post office, not great for convenience, except for proximity to sams club. The people who work here are great and very helpful. The location is under staffed and that causes long lines, but the main problem is too many people in line who don't need to be here. I am here every 4-5 x a week and I see way to many people in line to do something they could do at the apc. Instead people walk right past the APC and plug up the line instead complaining about the wait the whole time. If customers were prepared, or used the automated system when they can the lines would be much smaller and quicker. I for one, applaud the employees who day in and day out suffer the wrath of the public. read more

Staff was nice and they had the supplies that anyone would need, however they are very under staffed, there was like a ten person line with only 2 employees working. The place also had trash just laying on the floor everywhere. read more

I so disappointed with this post office. They need to hire people that actually want to work! We had no choice but to get a P.O. Box because someone was taking our mail. The teller was friendly and we had a nice conversation while he was putting in the transaction for my package. He gave me all the receipts that I needed. The service he provided was pretty much quick and straightforward, which I really appreciated after a long work day. read more

I am pretty sure this place is Dante's fifth circle. Most of the employees are rude and slow. When I went to pick up a package they couldnt find it. Then they returned it to the sender. The term "sucks" was hardly ever more deserved than this horrible place. Most people leave it less happy than when they entered. read more

Whoa I quit going there due to the service and the wait. Three days before Christmas and I only waited behind one other customer. The clerk was efficient and polite. And they had priority labels and boxes, too. The post office substation I was going to is always out of supplies, and with 1 clerk there is a long line, the lady is very nice though. I've interacted with this post office way too often for the past year. Getting my mail should not be a struggle. It all started when I was tracking packages that said delivered but we're not in my mailbox. After 4 packages with this same issue I put my mail on hold and ordered a locking mailbox. If the post office says they delivered it they must have delivered it right? I checked with neighbors but no luck there either. While waiting for new locking mailbox to arrive I went in to the post office to pick my mail up. When I picked the mail up and asked the clerk to continue holding she said no. I thought I heard her wrong but again she said no! She explained mail hold service is only when you're out of town and it is not their job to worry about my mail getting stolen after delivery. I was astounded. But then as I was sifting through the mail I was picking up I found two of the four packages that I originally thought were stolen. I explained to the clerk the reason the mail was on hold is because these packages said delivered over a week ago and I never received them. She said you got them now! Well that's not quite the point. They were expedited and tracked. They were marked delivered leading me to think they were stolen. But they were actually sitting at this ill managed post office the entire time. The third showed up the following week and the fourth arrived in my mailbox exactly 1 month after tracking says it was delivered. I called and emailed every point of contact I could find but the bottom line is no one cares to look into it let alone fix it. A year later I'm still struggling to get my mail. I've endured lost checks, lost bills, and lost packages. Some eventually show up but not always. I couldn't get my money back on the locking mailbox I had ordered but the lock doesn't help me if the mail was never delivered. I received a package today that shows it left San Francisco 5 days ago but no tracking since. It's mail. It's not that complicated. But it sure makes life complicated when you can't get it or get it on time. Now ... Working across town and having problems with mail delivery out of another post office location as well. Every day we get mail for the neighbors and they get ours. At home and at work I've tried being extra nice to the mail carriers. I've given them cold drinks and snacks and holiday gifts .... But I had Christmas gifts mailed in November that didn't show up til February. This is unacceptable. But what's worse is no one cares. I guess the people who work for the post office must be getting their mail. I suggest postal employees lose one day of their own mail every time there's a complaint on their route. Maybe if they lose a paycheck or receive a bill after its past due or don't get their birthday gift then they will start caring what their sloppy work does to other people's lives. This place is a joke. The layout is absolute shit. I was here to pick up a package (which the mail man didn't even bother to try and deliver. I was at home, painting the garage .. the garage door was fully opened and all i saw was him driving off. I went to check if he dropped off the package, but there was only a notice in the door.. really? Since when usps is hiring blind delivery men? He didnt see the garage door opened and 3 cars on the driveway? He didn't even ring the bell, because i would have heard it) , but back to this location.. i was picking up the package and the line to the pick up window is in the way of 2 doors. People are trying to walk in and out and you constantly have to move out of the way. There were no signs to the pick up window so if you are here for the first time you have to guess or ask someone where to pick up your package/letters, but guess what? There's no one to even ask. Seriously the only nice thing about it , were the 2 men that were helping out at the window , Wil and some young man, but he didn't have a name tag, so i dont know his name. read more

Having had concerns about a possibly stolen money order, my father and I stopped by the Post Office early this morning to address the issue. When we got there, about 5 people stood in line before us and only one window was open. 35 minutes into our wait, we were finally called in next and I proceeded to explain the problem hoping for a quick fill-up of a money order inquiry form, if not anything more. The lady casually took in our money order and looked confused. She said that she hadn't encountered a lot of money order issues like mine but went on to fill in a computerized form for me anyway, then had me sign at the end. Another staff spotted her handling the computer and stopped her saying that there's a form I have to fill in by hand. They talked through the procedures with each other, leaving a long line of people waiting very impatiently. About 45 minutes in, the clocked ticked to 11 o'clock, and there were only 2 windows open. People were starting to get antsy. A lot of them demanded more windows but the two ladies continued to redundantly talk about my money order concern and only one window was operating. The man said he couldn't leave his customers and that everyone else should just be patient. I believe the ladies didn't come to a compromise, so I was forwarded to the man handling the other (and only) window. He went through the same computerized processing of my basic info and we were done in less than 5 minutes. That was a whole hour spent at the post office handling work that could have taken only a few minutes to finish. I understand budget cuts and employee layoffs are prevalent but I was also hoping that there could be an improvement in the efficiency of the services they could accomplish with what they already have, preferably, speed and feeling out how long that lines have gotten. read more

This post office has by far the most incompetent people working. They are rude, lazy and very very unaccommodating. We waited in line for over 30 minutes just to be told to go to a door to ring a bell and someone would assist us. We then rang the bell for 15 minutes with no answer and finally an employee helping someone with a passport opened the door and said someone would be with us. The lady that then helped us was the rudest person very short with us and seemed like she hated her life having to work at such a miserable place. People here are absolute scoundrels! Do not go here! After strolling in here to mail a package... I walked out. The line was out the door, the place was "tore up" and it seemed to be staffed with the typical postal employees who make it known that they want a paycheck, but don't want to work... then they are the same to complain that the postal service is losing customers to the competition, and need a government bailout... and cannot shut down on saturday's... poor employees might lose a day of pay for work they actually don't want to do... This office is a clear example of why they need to be replaced by competition... or be run by a business that wants to serve customers. read more

i just received this e-mail response to questions about constant, very late deliveries... it is the only e-mail i ever received so it seems a bit off the charts... the usual nice, friendly, customer service... "this is in response to your recent inquiry about receiving mail at different times of the day. and as previous emails yes the mail will be late due to all of the political mail that comes in. it has to go so if a trck drops past our time the carriers have to wait to get it. trust me we all want the carriers out and back before dark!!! so until the political election is over this is how it will be" read more

Love the self serve kiosk at this location that is open 24 hours! It allows me to drop off and ship packages at my connivence and the best part is the line is never that long...max 1 to 2 people at most, even at Christmas time. read more

If the US Post Office goes away, it will be because the service is nonexistent. Friendly enough people, just slow. Understaffed and slow as (choose your own analogy). No sense of urgency or services like you might find at FedEx or UPS. Came here on a Saturday for a passport renewal. Arrived at 11:00 AM. Still waiting at 12:30. Upon arrival there were several other passport customers ahead of us. The crazy part, they did not have someone working passports the whole time. They seemed to be trying to juggle the mailing & shipping responsibilities with the passport services. Sure it's an hour and a half, but it "feels" longer every time no one works the passport services and more passport customers arrive. My recommendation to you the reader of this review; fly into San Francisco and go to the proper Passport Services. You might save some energy. read more

Its a typical post office, sometimes there are long waits at certain times depending on what time of the day you go. They have an automated machine which you can use to bypass the long line. Overall, the people working there are friendly and will help you with your shipping needs. read more
