I had a package shipping to the UPS store across the street from the post office. The address was checked, checked, and checked again after being told it was undeliverable due to a wrong address. I am employed, so I had to call the 1-800 number. After waiting for an hour, the woman on the line told me that the address on the label was correct, and there was no reason except for USPS' incompetence that the package should have been returned to sender. By the way, USPS don't hold packages for even 24 hours, so if they are too lazy to get out of their car and deliver a package, you have no recourse. (It's immediately diverted; the tracking number itself is quickly expunged.) They can simply lie and get away with it, vacuuming up public funds and cushy benefits, for work that would get them fired for incompetence anywhere else. USPS is nothing but a welfare program for idiotic black women who would be unemployable otherwise, and I hope the postal service is gutted, and they're all fired for their laziness, incompetence, and disrespect for customers and their packages. read more

I have repeatedly had my mail stolen. The person who answered the phone at this post office told me to come in and they would track the package and verify it was not delivered incorrectly. I already knew that it wasn't. It had been verified delivered so I went in anyway. I wasn't shy about not appreciating having my mail stolen or living in a community that has to tolerate this. They also suggested I contact the seller and that they would replace it for free since it was stolen. No. They don't. What world does he live in?On my way out - I thanked them for whatever help they offered and I was mocked- dismissed-and humiliated for complaining about my packages being stolen by the people who work there. On multiple occasions we have received an e-mail stating that a package has been delivered that we purchased, but there is nothing in the mailbox and we never get the item. We never have this problem with UPS or FedEx. read more

The Langley Post Office needs an overhaul. They don't have the staff or processes to serve the community. Additionally, management should renegotiate with Amazon to take back the delivery service of Amazon goods because the postal workers cannot keep up and therefore goods are either not being delivered or held at Langley Post Office which is frequently not open during normal business hours. read more

They say that they made an attempt to deliver on Friday, but couldn't access our driveway. I was here the entire day. That is bogus. I don't understand why it's so hard to get items into the mail box. I've had one package and one card(with money) go missing from my mail and I've had a package get scanned as delivered I wa her stop at my box but the package was never inside the box. So I called them trying to search for this package for a week. Then the postal lady magically said I know where it is and it was then in my mail box. Seems fishy to me.... I've never dealt with such an unorganized postal office in my life. Update: The card that went missing was returned to my dad saying address was wrong and was ripped open with the money gone but the card is still inside it. read more

It snowed 4" on Tuesday. OK, admittedly the roads are bad so no deliveries. No deliveries Wednesday either. Picked up some mail at post office Thursday morning and was told deliveries were resuming that afternoon. But none Thursday. (The roads are now easily passable.) And no deliveries Friday. Twice in the past one week, I have received "Attempted to deliver" for my Amazon packages. Like others say, it is a lie. It seems there are too many Amazon packages for them to manage so they just keep them at the P.O. for a very inconvenient pickup. My carrier said for one package it was too dark in the truck to find it. I have to go in the P.O. today for the other. I wish Amazon would stop sending USPS because they don't do their job. USPS in Langley, WA I usually dread coming to the post office because lines are long, it takes forever and the workers aren't very nice but this USPS is not that at all. I've been here a few times and maybe I'm just lucky, but there has never been a line. There's one man in particular who is amazing. Carl has been nothing but awesome! Each time I've spoken to him he has been friendly and obviously having a wonderful day. I spoke to him my first visit here and I wasn't expecting him to be so helpful with trying to ship a box. (My prior experience at the Renton USPS left me hating the post office since I had my box all ready, and I bought a label, and it just needed to be taped on and the woman at the Renton USPS made me buy a roll of tape from her $4.) Not here, Carl helped me find the right box, pack and tape it all up and sold me the postage. He was awesome! This is my favorite and only USPS I'll be going to. read more

this has been the fifth time. have had problems. a envelope with a gift card was stolen. carrier would not leave a package at the door. two weeks to deliver a package test should have taken 4 days then I payed extra for a Saturday delivery even talked to them and it was not delivered on the Saturday the service is terrible and there is pilferage of packages and mail thats inside the company. Will use UPS from now on and also Amazon does not cover Whidbey? read more

Same story here as others. It is Thursday and we had packages due for delivery last Monday. None have been delivered as of yet. One in particular is a pharmaceutical in a fancy chilled box as it is temperature sensitive with a limited lifespan at room temperature. I went to the Langley post office yesterday demanding it, nicely of course only to find the reception area closed at around 11am. I buzzed the doorbell and someone came out and opened it as me and another customer waited. The teller promised the box would be delivered yesterday. A blatant lie as I see it. Nothing arrived except some junk mail in my mail box. The person this med goes to is suffering without this daily, the teller had no compassion, appeared to care less. Did take my tracking numbers and go in the back for a bit, then told me it would be delivered. Not so. I went back home after another wasted trip to the post office. I truly feel for others that must be out there depending on the mail for meds too and know it can't be only us affected. Most of the time the mail comes between 9 and 10pm, if at all. Mail box 400' away, have to dress for outside after getting settled in for the evening, or risk theft. What a mess. I have talked to Amazon but they don't seem interested either, in fixing this. I live in the community and two months ago our neighborhood mailbox was destroyed. Our inept HOA LITERALLY TOOK OVER TWO MONTHS TO GET THE MAILBOX REPLACED- in the meantime we contacted the local post office to see how we go about getting our mail. We were directed to speak with the "carriers" line. The woman who initially took my call was very rude on the phone. She explained that we could call no more than twice a week and they would take our mail to the post office to be picked up. I asked why I couldn't just have it forwarded and picked up daily until the mailbox was replaced- I was told that wasn't an option. So for the last two months we've been calling twice a week and picking up our mail- mixed with some random neighbors mail at the post office. Luckily I had some other neighbors picking up my mail mixed in with theirs and they wee all kind enough to return it to us. In the past week the inept HOA finally got the mailbox replaced. Imagine how nice it is to just be able to pick up my own mail in my own mailbox- oh yeah- not that easy!!! Many of my neighbors had their keys delivered to their homes- being that I had "picked up" my mail I wasn't so lucky. I was once again directed to the "carriers" line. The first person I spoke to told me it had been put with my last batch of mail- I explained it had not. I called another number in hopes of getting resolution. I was directed back to the carrier line and given the names of two supervisors. I called back thinking maybe the supervisors would be of assistance. The first one I spoke to stated she would have to speak to the second one- she kindly took my number and assured me she would call me back. SHE NEVER DID! I called back- I got ahold of the second supervisor- lucky me I'll finally get resolution- nope! I was told that the supervisor had personally put our key with our last batch of mail and we had probably thrown it away because it was in a blank envelope. Being that my personal mail has shown up at three different neighbors homes and I've had to deliver mail to other neighbors homes I explained that we check each individual piece of mail and we hadn't gotten a key. The supervisor then told me that I'd better hope my inept HOA had kept a copy and to contact them. So here I am sitting around two months after the fact still having my mail held hostage with no help at all. I honestly think Newmans portrayal as a postman on Seinfield was way more efficient than our local post office. Don't even try to contact the postmaster general on the customer service website- it is an absolute joke when they say email us with your problem. It is a series of drop down minus that have no relevance to the issue. Our tax dollars would be much better spent closing down the post office and sticking with fed ex ground- I mean really- what a nightmare organization. read more

I haven't had problems with staff but this post office is way too small for the community. As part of all the millions land developers seem to profess to make, why aren't the fees, taxes, permits, etc covering the costs for improvement or expansion for these services. I have had only exceptionally positive experiences with the Langley, WA USPS staff. A couple of times, they have even been willing to bend the rules to accommodate me. I just called their local number after hours on a Saturday. Not only did someone answer, he offered to let me go pick up a parcel before 1pm. They closed at 10am!! Whenever I go in, I find the staff courteous, friendly, and helpful. I get a real sense of community at the Langley PO. If I go about my business with a smile on my face and a friendly spirit of community in my heart, I find that these things are reflected right back at me just about everywhere I go in Langley, WA. Packages are regularly left in my driveway, exposed to the elements... My covered porch is literally 10-15 feet away.

I am continually appalled at the careless handling of our mail. It is misdelivered at least once a week, with packages going anywhere but where they were addressed. After filing a change of address form for my deceased brother so, as executor, I could handle his mail and pay his bills, the postal service has lost his mail. I tried many phone numbers and finally went to the Langley Post Office to try to find out where the mail was. Carl, the man behind the desk, was rude, belligerent, and could not have cared less about the problem. He said that there was no one who was in charge of the Langley Post Office above his supervisor, who was out. Gee, guess the Langley PO is a third-world bureaucracy. Carl said he had other customers and would not give me any phone numbers of anyone in Everett or Seattle and would not do anything to attempt to resolve the issue. I am required by the probate court to find my brother's creditors and pay his bills. I can't do this unless I have these bills. So now, I have to spend $375 an hour to ask the attorney to handle this. Avoid this post office if you possibly can! read more

If I could I would give MINUS STARS...Appalling, careless and almost non-existent service! We have a physical address in Clinton, WA and a PO Box in Clinton. We have opted to have our mail sent to our PO Box instead of our physical address. Many companies WILL NOT send packages to a PO Box, so we have to use our physical address. Langley has, on file, our PO Box address (as a forwarding address). Nonetheless, Langley seems to think that our physical address does not exist, so when a package is sent via usps we never get it delivered to us. Langley says the package is undeliverable. WHAT????
