Stan is very nice man. So are the other employees. I drop off all of my pre paid and posted packages here. They do not scan however I have never had a package that I dropped here not get to it's destination. If you worry about that you can always go to the Lancaster post office there on 20th and J. I loved this post office when we first moved here, but it's gone downhill over the last few years. The clerks are rude, they will hang up on you, argue with you, or just outright snub you. I constantly feel belittled when I have to speak to these people and much prefer to drive across town to take care of my postal needs. I had an issue with their terminal rejecting my card and charging it anyway--but they said it wasn't an issue on their end and we're no help in resolving it. read more

AVOID at all costs! This is the SECOND time that something I mailed from this post office was lost. Tracking shows that it reached the Lancaster facility 3 days after I mailed it from this post office (on the 1st) and hasn't gone anywhere since. The woman that helped me today was ridiculously nice. I, along, with everyone that was in the short line was greeted warmly. She also patiently explained different options of mailing a package to the individual in front of me without sounding like she was mentally stabbing her in the face. Seriously, it was like this lady had a bowl of sunshine and hugs for breakfast. She was so nice! She also sealed up my package since I had my hands full with a squirmy baby. I love that I didn't feel like a number at this post office. They provide notary services as well. There's easy curbside parking off to the side that's 20 minute limit so you're usually guaranteed a close spot. read more

I was shipping a package to my brother stationed over seas, explained I didn't know how the address needed to be filled out and that I've never shipped OS before; and he just handed me the slip and offered no help, then huffed and puffed when I filled out what I could and asked about the remainder. I have been going to the Quartz Hill post office for many, many years. I am not a business owner so I don't go there as often as some people. I have always been treated with respect, got through the line( if there was one), pretty darn quickly. Where I have been met with 10 people in line at the Lancaster Post office I think the biggest line I have had at QH is 4 people, even around the holidays!! I cannot believe some of these horrible reviews, it makes me wonder are these just difficult people to please in the first place? Recently there have been some younger people working there I think there is a learning curve with them in customer service. So I am thinking maybe that might be where they can work on greeting people when they walk in, assisting them more with forms and so on. I pretty much only use QH post office! BTW they do have boxes you can use. read more

Came in to make send off a return and I hit the jackpot !! No line and great service ! They helped me find the cheapest and safest way to return the Garbage product and Not get scammed all while being very friendly and entertaining !!! I would rather go here than go to any other post office. Funny reading other's take on what is an essential piece of our town. The workers are always friendly... as are almost everyone else I've encountered in line. I've always found them knowledgeable and helpful. So very much more convenient than driving 15 minutes away and waiting in line for another 15 minutes... I'm usually done and out in under 5 minutes and that's 8 years running. Very rude employees. I avoid this post office as much as possible. They have zero customer service skills. There is limited parking.

Extremely rude employees. Either they are not properly trained or they just don't care and will charge you for everything -- even a piece of tape! Good thing they don't have a restroom, they would charge you to use it and charge for the toilet paper too! If you have a package where you printed the postage at home, they are even more rude. Guess they must not make money off of those packages because they are a contracted office. Notary service is a joke. Notary told me she could not notarize the document because it was not complete. Document was complete and I am a notary and understand this. As a notary you are required to do the following: "A Notary Public or other officer completing this certificate verifies only the identity of the individual who signed the document to which this certificate is attached, and not the truthfulness, accuracy, or validity of that document." Stood in line and wasted my time for this. Drove over to Mail-N-More on Rancho Vista and got notarized in minutes. The Antelope Valley is large enough now to have a REAL post office on the west side of Palmdale. This place is worse than a post office box shop -- at least they appreciate your business there. Their notaries should go back to training as they are not lawyers, just need to verify identities and signatures. read more

Nickel and dime you. Private contractors, so charge like a Mail Store. Asked if I wanted a little extra tape, thought it was an offer so I said sure, literally 2". Checked bill as I was walking out and he had charged $2 for 2 inches of tape. I just make the extra effort and go to the sole remaining true P.O. Still pay too much in my opinion but they don't pull cheesy crap like that. It would seem illegal for a Gov contractor, may call OIG. read more

I find that if you come to this office prepared, they work through the line quickly and the employees are well trained and efficient. They also freely give you advice on the cheapest ways to mail your packages, too. The Palmdale post office and the Lancaster post office have long lines. At the Palmdale office, I'm treated like a serf and as if they are doing me a favor to mail my packages. But at this post office they treat you like a valued customer. read more

Aside from the limited parking and it being a small post office this place is awesome. Every time I've been here the person behind the counter has saved me money on postage by finding a better way for me to ship whatever it is I'm sending. They do their best to get you in and out of there as quickly as possible and they extremely polite and helpful. I walked in once no one was I there and I heard two female employees talking badly about a previous customer saying he was ridiculous and stupid for trying to get something shipped there that he had to take to ups and did not know. Lots of reviews about rude employees... I find them pretty "down home country nice" but I just went there today... place was packed, doors were closed, ( Covid? ) owner asked his wife out loud to count how many people because 10 was the limit... she came out and with her finger counted out loud 11 people... he then said "oh, this one is about done , were OK" a few people laughed... I then counted the people myself... 17 people plus 3-4 employees... Then some guy coughed... that was it, I left... Last time I came here place had 3 people in there and owner wasn't even wearing a mask behind counter serving guy in front of me... he did finally put on his mask when serving me... Its very obvious this place does not take this Pandemic seriously, so if you believe this Covid-19 is nothing more then the flu... this is your kind of people, you will feel nice an comfortable... The employees are nice, however, they refused to take a package of mine that they said couldn't be mailed through the USPS, despite having a letter from the postmaster general that said it was ok. I had to go to the Lancaster office, who took the package no problem. They informed me that the Quartz Hill office is a satellite office, and they don't always know what they're talking about. If you have simple transactions, you'll be fine, but anything a bit more complicated.....you'd be better off going to the Lancaster mail office. read more

I love this little post office. I've been using it for 30 years and they are always the friendliest most helpful souls you will find anywhere. They have lots of boxes and envelopes and will transfer your package to one of theirs if they think it will go better that way. The Quartz Hill Post Office advertises that they "do all postal services for the same price as the federally owned post offices" The lie being in the word "all". The Quartz Hill Post Office is a contract Post Office and offers substantially fewer services than a federally owned post office does. It is particularly unfriendly towards e-commerce. Boxed up all your sales at home? Weighed the packages and printed out the postage? Think you are going to just drop them off and be on your merry way? NOPE! No matter how many people are in line you must stand there and wait your turn. There is no mail slot equipped to handle packages, no dropping off of packages at the counter, no collection bin in the lobby. But wait! It gets even better! As a smart seller you are going to want to wait in line anyways to get an acceptance scan. NOPE! This "Post Office" will not do that for you. They have the technology and they have scanned items with their handheld for me in the past, but they no longer offer this service which leaves the seller with no proof that the package was actually mailed. But wait! There's more!! Let us suppose you sell an item and want to ship it to insert country internationally via Priority Mail Express International. You purchase the postage online and take your package in to get your guaranteed delivery date (a big part of what you paid for) NOPE! They will accept the package here but you can forget all about getting that guaranteed delivery date (let alone having it scanned). I could go on, but you get the point. The only thing that differentiates this place from the mailbox rental/shipping centers you see in every strip mall all across the country is that they sell postage at face value.
