Bunch of incompetent officers. Part of the reason why the police have such a bad reputation. Can't solve any violence around them.

Nothing…read moresays "law enforcement" like a patrol car exceeding the speed limit to catch up to you only for them to stay glued to your rear bumper, flooding your mirrors with headlights and tailgating so aggressively that one wrong move could cause an accident or for them to have an excuse to pull you over. I wasn't speeding. I wasn't driving recklessly. I wasn't doing anything suspicious. Yet the goal seemed obvious! Apply pressure, create anxiety, and hope for a mistake. Maybe that's considered policing these days. To me it looked a lot more like intimidation than public safety.

I then call Glendora police Department, they route my call to the "jail" section. It rings for 5 minutes, no one picks up. I call back, let the officer know what's going on, he tries to connect me again, and also says they don't ask for credit card information via phone, wtf? I call back and say, "Can you at least transfer a message that i am trying to get a hold of someone?" They say, "No, we are not allowed to do that." I say, "how else can i get a hold of them? Can i just come down and see them?" They say, "Yes." I drive down there, then they tell me i can't see them, that the "jailor" is on the way to the courthouse, and it will be another hour and a half. At this point, i am wondering what part of The Matrix i am in. Literally, a whole bunch of officers, but absolutely no what to communicate. I am not sure if this is an idsue with every police department or just this one. I feel terrified that we have these people running things and "serving or protecting" anything. I am truly baffled and feel bad this is where all the tax dollars go. On top of all this, i say that the inmate needs medication, which i have. Shouldn't you at least check on that? Maybe they need it. Their response was, "we check every hour on them." Good lord. God forbid someone dies in their custody needing medication, which could be easily provided by someone who knows them more than they know their job. God save us all...awful.

However, I wanted to file a police report because not only did the people get money from me, but they were also threatening blackmail. I explained the situation to the women at the counter, and they said, "That's a civil matter." I told them, no, actually, fraud by impersonating a law firm is a felony in CA, and could also be prosecuted as such federally. Blackmail is also a felony. They both gave attitude. I waited for about an hour before a deputy called me in to get all the info. He was great, and is the reason for the stars I'm giving them. He took all the information, copied the emails, even spoke to the person on the phone! He told me he didn't know if they could do anything. I told him I knew, but just wanted the record, in case they do go through with the blackmail. While I was waiting in the lobby, two other women came in and were also told that they had a civil matter. One of them already had court orders against the person she was having problems with. So, not a civil matter. The other, I'm not sure what it was about. But regardless, these women don't seem to have any education on the law, or what the police's job is. They shouldn't just tell everyone that comes in that they can't be helped. It really seemed like they just didn't want to do any work. Rude, unhelpful, and not knowledgeable. I'd give 0 stars for them.

I have personally witnessed and heard from many in my community that the Rancho Cucamonga Police…read moreDepartment has recently come under scrutiny for indiscriminate vehicle stops, often targeting regular citizens. Too many times, I've seen or been told that people are accused of driving under the influence (DUI) immediately during a stop--regardless of actual impairment--creating a climate of fear and mistrust in our neighborhoods and even at local restaurants where these stories echo among residents. DUI Stops and Discriminatory Tactics When anyone gets pulled over, it now feels like the default assumption by officers is that we are under the influence, and we're pushed through DUI protocols whether there's evidence or not. I've also heard concerning reports that officers sometimes turn off body cameras during key moments, preventing any real transparency or accountability when things go wrong. Supervisor Request Policy and Legal Rights I know from research and talking to others that, while California law doesn't force officers to bring a supervisor to every traffic stop, best practices--and basic respect--say that the option should be available, especially if there's a legitimate complaint. However, in Rancho Cucamonga, officers frequently flat-out deny requests to see a supervisor, which not only goes against common sense but is misleading and wrong. Even if they say no on scene, anyone can file a formal complaint, whether in person at the sheriff's station or through Internal Affairs, and that's what I encourage everyone to do. Filing Complaints and Brady-Giglio/"Do Not Call" Lists If you've felt harassed, denied your right to speak to a supervisor, or wrongfully accused, document everything and file an official complaint with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. I've learned that you can also request that the District Attorney review the officer for placement on the Brady-Giglio or "do-not-call" list--a tool designed to flag officers with credibility problems due to their misconduct. The process means sending a written report to the DA, and if enough evidence stacks up, it can lead to real consequences for the officer involved. Community Action and Next Steps Here's what I recommend if you or anyone you know gets caught in one of these situations: - Write down everything--names, badge numbers, times, and how officers behaved. - File a formal complaint with Internal Affairs at the sheriff's department. - Send a request to the District Attorney for a Brady/Giglio review of the officer involved. - Make noise--share what happened in community forums, advocacy groups, and on social media or with local news, so our community knows what's going on and oversight increases. - statenationalsrock.com Taking these steps matters more than ever for enforcing transparency, protecting our rights, and making sure law enforcement in Rancho Cucamonga operates fairly and with real accountability.

I believe this is due to the fact…read morethat just as every race is stereotyped for this and that, the police unfortunately had a bad egg every now and then and then led to believe that they are all the same. Also, if you believe the police department is out to get you or have bad intentions, that may be because you possibly are doing something illegal and probably shouldn't be doing in the first place. From my experience on the other hand, is that these men and women put their life on the line every single day and risk taking the chance of possibly not being able to go home to their family at the end of their shift. They have a job to do and as difficult as it may be or even if they may not completely agree with whatever the outcome may be of a situation, ultimately, they are just doing their job. They serve and protect and every single officer that I personally know or have even come into contact with has been more than helpful and have always been polite and respectful. So please, before you think or even may say anything negative about the police department or a single officer as an individual remember, they are human too, have a family and just simply doing their job as we do day in and day out. I encourage everyone that next time they see an officer to give your gratitude and thanks because the people who say bad or negative things about them are the same exact people who call them when they need help and guess what?.... they are still there and come to serve and protect. So on my behalf, thank you to our local law enforcement and first responders for everything that you do for our community and a city as a whole. God bless

Despite this, I have repeatedly been stopped and followed by Burbank police officers while driving at night. I often run errands late at night due to my work schedule and personal obligations. Driving after midnight, by itself, does not constitute suspicious or unlawful behavior. During one stop, I was accused of "swaddling" or driving suspiciously despite obeying traffic laws. It appeared that the sole basis for the stop was the time of night I was driving. I am concerned that I am being unfairly targeted and subjected to repeated stops without legitimate cause. Additionally, during a prior interaction, an officer told me to "talk in English," which I found inappropriate and concerning. I expect to be treated fairly, professionally, and without racism. I am requesting that these incidents be reviewed and that any concerns regarding repeated stops be properly addressed. This will be justified when I give court all findings that evidence from a stop was unlawful. BURBANK PD can be DISGUSTINGLY racist. You have every right to stop someone who's speeding or driving recklessly but NOT someone who is obeying traffic laws.
