I have found myself in here several times lately for some routine paperwork, reports, that type of thing. They are patient and courteous, and they put up with a bunch of bullshit from some stupid asswholes. Some members of the public need to shut the fuck up. Anyhow I got my paperwork, my reports, etc. Similar paperwork in Kern county is quite a bit cheaper though. They seem like a squared away bunch of workers. EDIT: An explanation of why my comment above came about. While I was there either at the counter or waiting our turn, two separate people, (people who came into this place because they needed help) were cursing at the officer and calling them the devil. I don't see how someone can come into someone else's "house" seeking help and then be such an asswhole to the very people who are trying to and are tasked with helping them. At the time and place that a visit takes place here, this is not the cop who has pulled you over and is about to ruin your day. Give these guys a break! read more

Every time I call for service, there's no one available to even take a basic report for stolen property. That's unacceptable. Taking reports is the bare minimum, and this department can't even do that consistently. It's clear the problem isn't the public--it's how the department is run. Stop being overly selective in hiring and start getting people in the door who can at least handle reports and basic calls. Not every situation requires a sworn deputy. Hire civilian staff, train them, and let deputies focus on actual crime. Right now, it feels like resources are mismanaged and the community is left without support when it's needed most. If you can't respond to basic calls or take reports, then what exactly is the service being provided? read more

I called a Friday night at 10PM and stayed up to wait for the police for an incident that happened at a property I'm renting out. I called at 11:30 PM to check if they were coming and it seemed like they had never heard about my original call whatsoever. I called every hour after that just to hear that all officers were busy attending life-threatening incidents. I stayed up until 4:30AM just to find out they never intended to come out. This is why voting (in fact, today is election day for Lancaster) is so important. Vote for people who prioritize citizen safety. How are citizens suppose to communicate their disatisfaction with the current Department and advocate for more police presence in a city riddled with crime and theft? Clearly there is not enough police to keep this City safe and nothing has been done to make a real difference. read more

Unfortunately I was robbed on Father's Day weekend and they totally dropped the ball. It took 4 hours for them to arrive and when they did I told them I had the location of my stuff due to tracking software. I was told that it didn't matter and there's nothing they could do. The person who robbed me came back later that night to try to steal my car again and when I called 911 to alert them that someone was in my car again they never dispatched an officer. It would've been great to get my items back but I guess when you live in an area thats not so great you don't matter to this department. read more

Extremely disappointed with our law enforcement department. I made a call for a burglary and nobody ever stopped by to take my report 2 days in a row. They don't care if you're a victim or crime here in Lancaster, the criminals have all the power. We have squatters a couple door downs who were making bombs (one of the guys blew himself up) and they never came to search the residence and now my neighbors and I live with fear that the squatters are making bombs and can hurt the neighbors but they don't care. I've always had the utmost respect for law enforcement and will continue to do so but they aren't her to protect anyone. It's only a matter of time before we are all victims of crime in Lancaster. You call them to come out? They dont come out, you go in to the front desk, theyll leave you waiting for hours even after calling and telling them people are in the lobby waiting. In here RIGHT NOW with 5 separate groups one of which is an elderly lady with a walker dying waiting for these goofs.... What are these people doing especially when they come RIGHT OUT when one of their own come thru the doors to open it up then disappear into the back. We hear them all behind the glass but nobody acknowledges us... wtf is wrong with these people? Need a whole new staff. And this is one of the many reasons why people dislike police/sheriff... and i can guarantee that whoever comes out to help will have an attitude just like everyone who popped their heads out to look at us in disgust... i can honestly say that i these people are legit not caring whatsoever. read more

My father called the Lancaster Sheriffs dept to report suspicious car was parked in front of his house with several teenagers inside the car. Officer Aguilera and another office he was training showed up to talk to my father about the car, which had left. My father was talking to the second office while officer Aguilera started to look around the house, he went into the garage, bedrooms, hallways etc. Keep in my father is almost 80 years old. The "suspects" were not in the house they had been in a parked car NEVER in the house, but office Aguilera went looking all over the house, which we were informed my legal counsel is of course is illegal without proper legal papers. My father has NEVER been in jail, or even had a ticket for that matter, but this informed officer is training there staff?????? Good thing we have cameras all over, More to come in the near future. read more

We have been trying to make a police report for a hit and run where we have photographed evidence of the vehicle who hit us, and they still just make it extra difficult to get this report. I request report from officer...dissappointed on the officers did not add to reports of my words and my side of situation. Officiers who reported were angry with be becuzz i called the watch commander, and requested a Sargent. The anger continued in the report writing. Stood and watched while she banged on my car. I called to report an assault that I witnessed at Carl's Jr. off of Avenue K and north. It involves a homeless couple and three men. one of them was a patrol that was just driving around the area and then approached the homeless couple. The patrol guy grabbed the homeless man's cart and pushed him, the homeless man then went and punched the patrol in the shoulder and yelled "give me my stuff back! Give me my stuff back!" Two other men (one from within Carl's Jr and another passerby) came to the scene, and then ultimately struck the homeless man in the face. I called to report it and told the dispatch the situation, and he told me I have two options: ask the homeless couple if they want to press charges or just continue on my way. I cannot believe that I was put in a battle of integrity and conviction to have a report of assault dismissed. I then asked the dispatch if I would've called and instead reported that someone eating at the Carl's Jr. was assaulted by a homeless man if they would've come out for that to at least investigate. He responded no. Maybe I'm wrong but assault is crime. I ultimately did not pursue the couple due to belief that the officers (hope that I'm wrong) would have profiled and discriminated the couple due to their filthy clothes and demeanor. I see the consensus is if it's a non emergency (to them), forget about it. Filed a report for a missing relative at 11a. Had a missed call at 11p, 12hrs later. I was sleep by that time so they never came. Called the next morning and the lady advised me that was them. She said I could either file one with the dept near my job (because who can wait at home all day to file a report with the LASD) or call them when I get home. Def No sense of urgency for anyone with mental health issues as I mentioned to them and if you are POC, forget it. They get paid to respond to both emergency and non emergency cases but the non emergencies (again, to them) they take their time. Very disheartening and discouraging. read more

Worst station ever they just make excuses so they can do their job, called over 1000 times and they do nothing

These are the worst officers on this planet not counting a few honest officers that might be there. My home was raided for something I had no idea about. I was found not guilty for some 5 major charges after they tried to intimidate and force me to take a deal. Until now I don't have my hard drive, crucial evidence of my innocents which would have saved me and my family an entire year of court proceedings, thousands of dollars and the terror of facing the jury by rolling the dice on my life. Not counting the fact of having to live with the fear that this happens here and they are here to serve their own interests as they get paid for it. It's ugly I know, and I would not believe it if I read my own review five years ago. I've been found not guilty anyway by the jury but for them to hide the evidence which is also evidence of their wrongdoings as they stormed into my home twice is serious enough for me to at least write this review for the general public. It's called obstruction when they play with evidence this way if you didn't know dear public. That hard drive was also expensive but it didn't make it to court for their own reasons. This raises yet another red flag and has obstruction written all over it. Very low standards in the quality of officers as they also come across like people trying to force their will on you, intimidate you, and I had someone cynically follow behind my motorcycle just a week ago just for his amusement. They obviously have serious mediocrity complexes with serious bullying tendencies. (a very dangerous combination for any police station) Please, Lancaster Station keep your officers in order before you get another lawsuit. I would not even give them one star they are completely useless especially the school police it is ridiculous that they don't do their job. I am a homeowner, I pay taxes, I have a child in school this is unacceptable. I think I'm going to request an audit from the city to find out exactly what these sheriffs are getting paid and why because they are not performing I'm less they are fishing for stuff and pull you over for no reason. The problem is that they don't come at all for non-emergency calls and come extremely late even for a 911 call. The fire department comes. The ambulance comes. They are paid out of the same till that the sheriff's dept. is. So don't give me this excuse that they are undermanned b/c they have no money, they can send SOMEONE. I placed a 911 call for a female neighbor who had been hit in the face by a man. That's assault. The fire dept. got here in minutes. The police? They got here three hours later! What a crock. And to Miss M, if you think it's acceptable that the police (a) come hours later or (b) don't come at all because they're "busy" I'm thinking you've never had a real need for their assistance OR you're related to one OR you actually are one! My name is Christopher,in a world where our police have become militarized, it is a breath of fresh air that the Lancaster Sheriffs department comes out and is transparent when one of their own has made an egregious mistake. It restores my faith in the rule of law when the department has a press conference to announce that one of there own has not been honest. These noble men and women assume responsibilities that the regular citizen would not, it is a job with immense responsibilities and dangers. I as an American citizen truly appreciate the fact that they are willing to admit a flaw in their staff, and that transparency still exists. The press conference restored my faith, and made me proud to be an American. I truly applaud the sheriff for coming forward and being candid, we as regular citizens appreciate and yearn for the truth. Once again I simply want to thank the entire Lancaster sheriffs department for being a stall worth representative of transparency in government. Our forefathers desired that. To Brian, Heather,Antonio, and any other person who thinks because they called in to request something from the sheriff's that they're placed on the top of the cue. First of all, Lancaster is one of the most busiest stations in the county and when it comes to handling priority and emergent calls they're in the top 3. With that said, if they don't get around to handling a loud music call or any other non emergent call it is because they're handling something more emergent like a robbery, burglary or any of the other priority and emergent calls. Do you know how much crime is in that area? Why don't you stop at the station and get a copy of the report from the crime analyst. Stop complaining and be part of the solution and get involved and help out, like setting up a neighborhood watch in your area. read more

My husband, who is over 20 years older than me was taking this outfit-of-the-day photo by this plant in our front yard. We came inside and I edited the photos and my husband and I were sitting on our couch. I was reading a magazine, he was playing a video game on a smart phone. The doorbell rang twice, then there was a loud knock. I looked outside to see there was a police car parked in front of our house. My husband answered the door and the officer said there was a call about a 16 year old being photographed under duress. I was asked to show ID, I asked if I had to and was told no, but I was still asked my age, and name. This is not the first time an incident has happened that is similar to this. I feel violated, and abused. This complaint was ridiculous and unfounded and the police should never have violated the sanctity of our home to check on such a call. I feel that my husband and I are treated unfairly because of our age differences; I KNOW we are. If you are not safe from police questioning and harassment in your OWN home, then where are you ever safe to live in peace? How is it that people that make these calls are not jailed for false reporting? I am a fashion blogger, I take photos nearly every day, sometimes on my own property. I have NEVER had another problem like this when being photographed on public property, so it's even crazier that when the police are called it would be while my husband and I were on our own front lawn. Now my husband says he doesn't want to photograph me in public anymore, or on our own front lawn. He says he doesn't want to hold my hand in public from fear of being accused of being a child molester, kidnapper, etc. Just why is it worthy of a 911 call if I WERE 16? A man is not allowed to photograph a 16 year old in an outfit like I am wearing? What if he was my father? My paid professional photographer? What were we doing that someone felt the need to call 911 over? The responding officer did not even apologize for wasting our time. I can only assume the person that called the police did so out of malice, or they are so stupid they have no business driving down the street. I've called several times in one night about a certain house throwing a party and people are out front of the house drunk and playing very loud music and a couple of cars leaving fish tailing out of the street. When calling the sheriff station I got the deputies are busy and will get to it when they have time and they never show up. The Lancaster station deputies are lazy and don't do their jobs! I have several friends who are Sheriff's and they have said most in the Lancaster station are lazy. I was even involved in a hit and run, I chased the car down and the sheriff let the person go with no registration, license or insurance and then I was told it's not his job to respond to traffic issues and left... my tax dollars are being wasted! read more

I see why they get such a bad rep. Called to report attempted break in at my neighbor's home which was caught on camera. I informed them I live in a new development and my address is not yet listed. Dispatch stated she understands and knows the area well and will inform the sheriff. 4hrs later no one show or called. I called back and a different dispatch informed me an officer attempted to come out but was unable to locate the residence so he left the area. They said they will send out another officer which showed up an hour later. Took down info, watch the video but didnt really take notes of the video. He left and didnt say anything. Fast forward 4months later. I called the station requesting information on how to file a police report for credit fraud. They told me I need to come into the station with an id and make a report in person. When i arrived, lady( i have her name but wont put her on blast) told me i have to come back later with a credit report in order to file a complaint. I was annoyed. I Didnt get mad and just took down any info she provided. As I was taking notes, She was a bit rude and felt like she was rushing me out the door. I would say their employees need better training on customer service and better internal and external communication training. read more

I respect the law and never had a problem with anybody in law enforcement but I've called several times to this station to complain about people hanging out late at night during the week on the side street to my corner house and according to them all the times I've called they have told me the same thing "All the deputies are busy handling emergencies and will get around to my call when they are done handling traffic emergencies first" . And this last time I told him that I've called several times this week to complain about the same guys hanging out here drinking, smoking drugs and playing there loud music. He replied " They will get around to it when they are done handling the real emergencies and that playing music loud is not an emergency. What good is calling the station if they are not going to respond to my complaint? Bottom line is, this is why people get hurt and problems start because people are forced to take matters into there own hands. Law enforcement always say " Call is if you need help " well I need help and called several times and are not about to let some punks do drugs and drink by my house anymore. Oh and to add.
