Once there are 10 people in the lobby, a side window is open.

Everyone hates postal office but loves to receive that stimulus check when it comes to the mail. I am glad to have this cheapest delivery option while federal government funding it. I was here to ask a simple question about my certified mail never got delivered. I was told I can get my money back. The lady at the side window quickly denied "you can get money back from Express mail." Then, she shut the window. Ok. It was only $5.50. I'm not gonna chase it all over the town and waste my time and gas during this pandemic. Your delivery service SUCKS!!! The lady at the side window €¥$%&!!! Done. I'm through venting.

I had 7 letters that needed to be mailed out at $8.56 each

I wish I could give a lower rating! My experience on 8/3/23 was RIDICULOUSLY BAD! The cashier/clerk 22 was HORRIBLE!!!! I walked in at 5:40, the post office doesn't close till 6. I waited in line and once it was my turn and I explained to the gentleman that I need separate transactions due to needing individual receipts for each letter I had. THE CLERK SAID AND I QUOTE "WHY DIDNT YOU COME EARLIER" Excuse me? That is not how you speak to a paying customer. He was RUDE, HAD AN ATTITUDE AND MADE THE WHOLE ROOM UNCOMFORTABLE! he was clearly upset he was working after closing time but he should never take it out on paying customers!!!

Navigation location! Lol. It was raining couldn't get a good picture!

next.....NExt......NEXT!!!! That's all you hear every time you go to post office. If not this you get the rolling eyes....or please move to the side and fill your form out there and get back at the end of the line. Not the case here. Fast facility. Four tellers were ready for processing of all needs. Passports. Stamps. Money orders and etc. Jordan the teller that helped me with my forms was informative and helped me make sure I got everything I needed. I'll be back to this location for sure. If you come to this location be sure and say Hey to Jordan. He was the frost of many that actually made my postal experience one better than any in the past. Tell him the Spaniard sent Ya! Cheers all!

Who the heck locks their overnight drop-off? What is the use of this if I cannot drop off my packages after-hours? I get that it may lock once it overflows? Get a bigger container, ffWorst Post Office in Houston. Now they have to inconvenience me of coming back to drop it off again. UPDATE: I'm here in a Sunday (10/6/19) afternoon to yet drop off another package. And again it is overflowed that the drop-off box is locked and I cannot drop off a package. Again every fiber in my body despises this location. What an inconveniencing location,, JFC!!

The "extended" hours.

Definitely not super fancy or upbeat. I have definitely had problems receiving mail. Sometimes, I would get online notifications that a note was left at the door, but there's been no note. In theory, my regular carrier might have just been on vacation. Pros: + 9a-6p Mon-Fri are normal operating hours. Well, I guess if they don't open at 8am, I'm glad at least that they are open 5pm-6pm unlike other offices. + Window to pick up items 6am-6pm Mon-Fri and some hours on Saturday morning (this was observed pre-Jan 2013 when they made a bunch of changes. I think they are open 8am-12pm, but call before heading over "Carrier Facility Hours".) These hours are better than 90% of the USPS offices in Houston. + For the most part, the employees here aren't disgruntled. + Self-serve kiosk open 24/7.

All things considered. This Postal Office is the cleanest one around. I was here on a Saturday…read moreafternoon and there was ... umm just me here. Hahaha I didn't know it's closed on weekends. That shows how long it has been since I visited a post office. I was directed by a sign at another post office at Gessner and Westpark. Because that office doesn't have a Saturday pickup. I didn't want to let the mail sits in the collection box over the weekend. That's why I'm here. Inside looks good but outside needs some TLC. The GPS took me all the way around the block. I could have turned at Crossview Drive and Beverly Hill Street.

Too many local folks are unhappy with this location and we must put more action. I myself never have a good experience after dealing with this location many times. Customers should not feel like they have to tolerate unprofessional behavior simply because they are dealing with a government office. If enough customers properly report these experiences through the official USPS channels, there is a much better opportunity for the issue to actually reach management and be addressed. EVERYONE at this location must be Reevaluated and Most fired ! A CHANGE HAS TO BE MADE.

I am obviously a fan of these services, they aid in ensuring that packages don't walk off your porch and the shipping options available are marvelous. More so with Postal Zone, as they have every carrier option - you can ship globally and with ease. Likewise, the staff is fun, friendly, and expert at what they do. I have had my private box there for a few years, and I can tell you with confidence they know their customers well, they know you by your name and they care. Add to that the little things - fax service, printing, etc. - and you have a winner in Postal Zone on Fountain View. The other convenient thing is they are located right next to Barnaby's Cafe, which is a nice thing after you get done shipping a gagillion things and picking up an array of Amazon Packages. The owner is also a marvelous treasure trove of information on shipping regulations - and alongside his seasoned staff members, they can assist you with pretty much anything you need. If you never have rented a private mail box before, give it a try with Postal Zone on Fountain View. You won't be disappointed.

CONSUMER BEWARE I…read moreused Postal Zone to occasionally forward packages to an out of state address. I signed up for Postal Zone's mail forwarding services via AnytimeMailbox.com. Apparently certain employees at the Postal Zone do not know how to use the mail forwarding software because they make mistakes and they put a CRAZY profit markup on simple mail forwarding services. On my end, I am asked if there are any special directions that I want Postal Zone to take note of. I notated my account to reflect that ALL packages are to be mailed via USPS Priority Mail. They did this correctly the first time, but then it was downhill from there. My most recent package was forwarded via USPS Ground...which takes a very long time for me to receive. I tried calling Postal Zone, after my 3rd call...someone finally answered. I pointed out their error, but they would not admit mistake and claimed that their software doesn't have my Priority Mail notes on they end. I pointed out that they had been following my notes and forwarding packages via Priority Mail, but the guy I spoke to would not even acknowledge this statement (despited there is a digital log on my previous shipment from them). Even the mail forwarding software company, AnytimeMailbox.com, got involved and called them to show them how to view my notes (they could see them too), but the Postal Zone employee told the software people that they were wrong and there are no notes. And.. Businesses like Postal Zone get discounted shipping rates, they don't pay retail. However, the Postal Zone more than doubles the retail cost of shipping for USPS Priority Mail (keep in mind that the USPS provides the envelopes for free). The literally put my package into a USPS flat rate envelope (less than 2 minutes to do). In summary, they may have good in-person customer service, but I would not use them for mail forwarding.

It's not perfect, but I can't think of too many post offices that are. The best things? Parking is abundant, the crowds aren't really here in full force (even during closing time), and it seems low-key most of the time. I am able to send most packages without much stress and the self service machine is usually working quite well. I haven't owned a PO Box here, but I don't intend to either. The not-so-fun things? The staff is painfully slow sometimes. Even though there's no line, the wait can be a little bit of a deterrent when the counter ladies are taking their time with each customer. It's likely the customers, but they always seem to run out of pens for filling out forms, so bring your own. The place also smells a bit like mildew, but I've noticed this is common with most post offices throughout the city. If I can get here, send a package / certified letter, and leave in 5 minutes or less, I consider that a thumbs up. It hasn't always been the case, but for the most part, this is a likely scenario for most of my visits.
