The Kapalama Post Office is the most convenient and closest to my mom's house. We selected this post office for my sister to mail herself some things that she couldn't fit in her luggage. We discussed the post office on Maunakea Street, next to Mei Sum. It has metered street parking and municipal paid lots nearby. We weren't sure if it was still doing business. We talked about the post office at the Airport. It seemed out of the way...even though the parking is free. We considered the Ala Moana Shopping Center post office since we were going there anyway. However, the line probably would be longer with more customers since there's a lot of foot traffic at the shopping center. Kapalama post office was a good choice because of the free parking and no other businesses attached to it. There was a short line that moved quickly since there were several windows open. My sister had printed out the shipping labels already, so the transaction was quick! We even got more Flat Rate boxes in case she decided to mail more things to herself... or if mom wants to mail care packages to my sister! Haha! Overall, it was a good choice and a great experience! My sister breathed a sigh of relief because everything went well and she got her tracking numbers!!! Yayyy!

I like this post office on King Street, across the street from the best saimin stand, Palace Saimin. The workers are friendly friendly and knowledgeable. While there, I heard one worker tell the customer that she could save about $5 by repacking her package in a flat rate box. The customer before me wanted to tip his worker because of the friendly service he received! When it was my turn at the counter, Nina smiled, gave me my different options for mailing my package and was super friendly and courteous! Yes, this post office can get busy and crowded, especially during the last couple weeks before Christmas, but the service is always wonderful!

I came in to send a package to my boyfriends sister-in-law a few days ago. I totally forgot to bring my packaging tape (which i should just keep a spare in my car because i usually ship things off at this location). Anyways, parking may be limited but there's always a few leaving so that is good! The USPS office here is pretty efficient with how they operate: send "it" and exit. It's pretty self explanatory. I entered with my lovely HI collection of Starbucks cups to ship off (the SB HI COLLECTION IS BEAUTIFUL BTW) and I think her name was Sierra who helped me at her window. I literally had nothing prepared because i planned to just bring those boxes into the car and pack them right away. I was going to take 2 brown boxes but before leaving with them so i can pack my stuff, an employee tells me that it can't go outside but it needs to be paid first... i guess the brown packing boxes here are of charge & then you have to pay AGAIN for the total weight of your items. Sierra explained to me about the differences between the flat rate boxes and the brown shipping boxes. Flat rate boxes, the ones that are red and white, is free of charge and you can take it outside with you. They will only charge for the rate of the box being that it can only hold up to 70 pounds ! Great deal. Sierra recommended a large and medium for the cups because and in total, it costed about $38 which i think is worth it for about 15 to 20 pounds total. She was very helpful and even lended me packaging tape. She said that a customer left it and i did so too... just in case if anyone else would need to borrow some! A customer to the next window with her daughter overheard me say "keep the tape, I'm sure someone else will need it in case" and she commended about it hehe. So i hope everyone else does the same at the post office! Thank you again, Sierra. I hope you get some SB HI collection cups tooo!!!

I'm not sure why this location don't have a designated pre-paid postage drop off box. I've been to the Kahala branch ,Airport location they either have a wagon or a cut out in the wall to drop off your packages. This King St. location use to have a sign hanging from the first window pre-paid postage packages drop here . Even that said the person in that window is always grouchy and no customer service whatsoever. I go there and sometimes I have to wait until he or she acknowledges me because there with a customer. I don't understand why have a pre-paid postage machine than if you still have to wait in line . It's all about convenience. Today I had some packages to be mailed and once again it's all pre-paid postage I went to the 1st window and the lady there said just to let you know we don't have a drop off window anymore . So I replied so I have to stand in line from now on? She said yes but today I'll take it . What's funny this location closes at 4:30pm and if you have Pre-paid packages or mail you can go to a door and ring a bell. Than someone will open the door and take your package. I highly recommend they should just leave that window on that door open and leave a wagon bin there so customer can just drop the package in it. I really hope the postmaster is going to get this message so he or she can make changes or adjustments to service the customer better. Not to make it more inconvenient for us. Especially everyone nowadays is paying bills online or ordering on Amazon and majority of the time UPS delivers for Amazon not the United Stated Post Office. I hope that location finds a way to service customer better , if not there going to lose a lot of business. I guess they don't care about customer service that's why they only have 2.5 stars on yelp while other locations average 4 stars

All staffs here are super nice and kind to me. The bob hair lady helped me to send to stuff to mainland and she suggested how to ship it in cheaper way. Not only for me, she also suggested all of the customer who she had to take care of 5 stars for her

All of the employees here have always been really helpful with any questions I've had. I remember once I had a medium flat rate priority mail box I was sending out and the worker mentioned since it was pretty light, it would be cheaper to send it in my own box by weight. Very nice of him to suggest that. Parking around the area is metered only and there's a lot across of merchant street between merchant and king. The can be full midday but a lot of parkers are in and out of there fast. The one thing I do want to mention for those that frequent this location is that if you drop off "Click N Ship" items here, the drop off window now opens at 0930, not 0900 like before.

The loathing of standing in line to mail a USPS flat rate boxes are the greatest convenience as you not only have a box ready to go the medium has a seal ready to go so it a matter of fill and stick. Not many post office has the self serve kiosk especially when their closed the convenience of this is amazing all you need to do is follow the prompts and a label prints out for you and drop it in the chute. This downtown building is just stunning and doesn't look like a post office at all from the outside and would have never know it was actually if it wasn't for my search on Yelp which helped me get it shipped. Thank you!

And the very next morning, He brought my letter back. She wrote upon it: Return to sender, address unknown. No such number, no such zone." - Artist: Elvis Presley The USPS has honored Elvis Presley, The King of Rock n' Roll by issuing commemorative stamps in his honor since August 12, 2015. I stood in line at this post office to get these Forever stamps as I still have SOME correspondence that I rely upon hardcopy letters (old school or just old?) rather than managing through online transactions. I am not a philatelist but, I enjoy seeing the new designs and tributes to various themes. So, what does this have to do with this neighborhood post office? This post office has friendly and helpful staff. There's hardly ever a crowd whenever I go there during the week days. I would NEVER dare go during Saturday or Holiday Season so I can't speak for those peak times. The building itself seems a bit run down but, there is a dedicated parking lot and to me, it's conveniently located right across the street from the Pearl City 24-hour Fitness Club. I roamed in to mail a flat-rate box to my brother-in-law in California and found that on my birthDAY these Elvis stamps were available. The postal worker efficiently processed my package and then asked if I needed any stamps or more products. Yes, I said...how could I pass on getting these stamps?! I just hope that whoever receives mail from me will be as excited about seeing these Forever stamps and won't return my mail. #419

You need to find parking, and walk up into the complex. Way up. I had no idea where I was going, as it was my first visit to Eaton Square. To find the place, I figured I needed to think like I worked for the Postal Service. OK, so if I was Postal Service management, where would I locate this branch? I'd put it somewhere where no one could find it, that's where. Some place so rediculously remote, there's no way annoying customers could discover the location. Damn right! In the center of the square I spotted some stairs, but I couldn't tell where they went. Yes! That's got to be the way, I thought. Stairs are enough of an impediment to stop plenty of customers. I trudged up the stairs, and around a corner I noticed an indoor koi pond and fountain. Above the fountain there was a little mezzanine. I couldn't believe it, I had found the crazy Eaton Square Post office. There was one window open and a customer was being helped. I enjoyed the relaxing sound of the fountain and passed the time watching the koi swim around. I was very impressed with the customer service at this branch. The employee was helpful and efficient. Probably because he doesn't have to deal with the same number of customers other post offices do. Mikey C says: well played, Post Office Management!
