I put in a grievance with his manager and nothing was done because of course the manager took his side even though I'm not receiving my mail which I believe iBe some type of illegal activity that I will legally handle at some point. Sure, you always get stuck in a line at the post office, but that happens everywhere. The employees here are efficient and helpful. This post office is super clean and well-stocked, and there is tons of parking! Many of the post office locations closer to the city lack parking in busy times, so I love stopping here on my way home from work in Grandview. I highly recommend using this USPS location if you're close by. Of course they close early like all the branches, but I have never spent more than 15 mins waiting here.

I made an appointment to get my passport application turned in, and when I arrived all the doors to the passport offices were locked. So I tried to call and no answer... Then I walk inside and two women -with no customer service training- just stare at me tapping the window. Another woman walks in with her kids and asks me why the doors are locked if we have an appointment. Finally when a lady walks out she is very dismissive and says "your appointments have been canceled" to both of us and says we need to reschedule. We both look at each other and say we have appointments.... They would not let me get my passport done and it was very clear they were not trying to help anyone else. I explained to her what options I chose online and she let me know that wasn't an option. I said but it was. She said on my 8 years of working here you are the first person to ever say that. I said well is there someone or somewhere that we can submit a complaint that for online address changes that what I clicked, shouldn't be an option. She said no. I said I can't be the only one to click that. She then repeated that isn't an option. Finally another worker came over and asked what was going on. She started to explain but then changed what she said to me. So I corrected her and said no, you said that wasn't an option. Basically calling me a liar and making me feel crazy. So I said I'll pull it up and show you. At this point I need you to know that is an option so in case another person comes in. She waited. And there it was. She goes if you click it, it won't let you proceed. I showed her that actually it does. I did apologize many times during saying I know the system isn't her issue. But her attitude is. Did she apologize for her attitude or for being wrong and making me feel crazy? Of course not!

The guy helping me made sure my photo met government guidelines for passport photos and was the correct size. I got the exact picture I needed for my new passport and was off. I noticed they do a whole variety of packaging and shipping options. Looks like a great place to bring care packages that are needing to be sent. Since I only used their passport photo services I can't speak to anything else, but if you are in the area and need a new photo I recommend going here!

Sure, me knowing what's up makes it easier for his staff; but this is definitely not the same at every store. Locally, I used to do shipping at the Fairway and Prairie Village locations; but after needing some help and getting charged or shamed at these two locations, I will always hit up the Central store. It's so small, but their process just clears people out quick and happy. The GM is always there just cranking out business and helping folks out. Please have him train other locations.
