It starts with there is no incentive for this place to thrive on its service, because the Gov gives them millions each year no reason to improve. They pay the CEO millions each year many more times then the president of the US. And the staff here is always so nice and friendly, which isn't always common in post offices. Ask for Kirby, he's the best! This post office is on the second floor of City Center Square downtown--I think it's the only PO downtown? Not sure on that one, but I'd always rather go to this post office then the one by my apartment where I always end up waiting in line for 10 years. If you work downtown, this place is handy!

On Friday, September 19th 2025, I received a notice a package had been delivered to my mailbox. This has happened twice now. It wasn't delivered but they also didn't have it at this location. They claimed it was delivered to someone else in a different part of town. Would not confirm it was in my name or anything. That isn't the only issue though. While I was in line waiting for them to find my mysterious package. There is a couple with their child that doesn't speak English. Another customer had to come and translate which was awesome of her. The elderly lady turned away from them and I hear her mumbling about "illegal immigrants need to just disappear." Noticed I heard her and avoided looking at me when the lady looking for this package came back. I STILL have no flu what that package was. But that lady needs to be talked to about her statements. Talk like that is costing people their jobs right now. Also, about a month ago I went to pick up a package and they gave me someone else's. I did not realize it until I was on my way home. I delivered it to the right person.

I waited in line, got to the front, and two agents opened up. I stepped to one, and the person behind me stepped to the other. The one I approached didn't say, "I'm not available,"--she just walked away. The other didn't say, "She's not available, let me help you,"--instead, she helped the person behind me and then seemed to take her time on purpose. When it was finally my turn, I asked for some tape to attach my label (something I've done many times before). She handed me scotch tape with an unspoken "risk it." No apology, no mention that they didn't have proper tape, and no suggestion that I could purchase some. I had to look around myself and found tape for sale. I bought it, stepped aside so the next person could go, and taped up my package while she watched with a smirk. When I handed it to her, she just tossed it over her shoulder into the bin. Honestly, that was one of the worst customer experiences I've had in a very long time.

She's rude, inconsiderate, bossy and down right unpleasant. The fact she would not address any questions we had and behaved like it was an inconvenience for us to be there getting finger prints for a government job. Additionally having to pay $1 for a face mask seems like extortion given masks are no longer needed in society. The amount of finger print clients they have each day at $1 per client will quickly add up. We were not allowed to proceed with our appointment for finger prints until we paid $1 for the mask. This coupled with the rudeness exhibited, the loud club music and just the overall demeanor of the lady behind the cash register, I would gladly go anywhere else in the city to have finger prints done for a background check.
