I see all of the complaints for this post office in Gladstone, Missouri. I disagree. It is a no frills experience. I just got my passport at this location. It was smooth. I had lots of help from two employees. One female employee helped me get organized better. I was prepared, but she made sure I had the correct forms. The next employee followed up with quick service. He was juggling three passport customers at once. I have cut everyone slack when they are this busy. I was done in about 15 minutes. It does help if you do some prep as a customer beforehand. I also leave a lot of packages at this location. I sell online. They ALL get scanned into the system. They don't have time to pamper their customers. They are really, really busy. read more

Only reason I go here is because they won't deliver packages to our complex anymore. I did however feel the need to post this. On Friday, September 19th 2025, I received a notice a package had been delivered to my mailbox. This has happened twice now. It wasn't delivered but they also didn't have it at this location. They claimed it was delivered to someone else in a different part of town. Would not confirm it was in my name or anything. That isn't the only issue though. While I was in line waiting for them to find my mysterious package. There is a couple with their child that doesn't speak English. Another customer had to come and translate which was awesome of her. The elderly lady turned away from them and I hear her mumbling about "illegal immigrants need to just disappear." Noticed I heard her and avoided looking at me when the lady looking for this package came back. I STILL have no flu what that package was. But that lady needs to be talked to about her statements. Talk like that is costing people their jobs right now. Also, about a month ago I went to pick up a package and they gave me someone else's. I did not realize it until I was on my way home. I just have to say- I got here when they opened at 830 and Greg is an outstanding employee. He was super efficient and fast yet made you feel totally unrushed and was incredibly personable too. I was so struck by his chipper helpful respectful demeanor despite an immediate line upon opening that I had to write this review. Called this morning to get my passport, and was told they take walk-ins. Stood in line for approximately 25 minutes, only to be told we need an appointment. On the website it even says they accept walk-ins. Dont trust it. read more

Thieves! They have stolen my drivers license, my new license plates AND the checks & money(mom has dementia and I repeatedly told her not to send cash but she forgets), but the Christmas money she sent, TWICE HAS SHOWN UP ON INFORMED DELIVERY AND NEVER RECEIVED!!!! I moved into an apartment where I need a mailbox key issued by the post office. Supposedly today, after 3 months, it fell out of the carriers bag(why would he even have it? How would I receive the key if he's delivering it?) and my credit card that expired, issued a new one and that is not only activated but also used. The post office useless manager wanted to give me as many excuses as there are assholes working there, and I told him Idc how behind you are, but now it's coming to tax season and I'm facing penalties because you are losing keys I've been waiting 90 days for. None of the mail is being held, I can't go on the informed delivery bc I don't have the post card with the activation code in order to start informed delivery. My credit is frozen on all three bureaus due to my identity being stolen, I now have expired out of state tags because the Missouri plates ARE GONE. MISSING... who knows what car they are on and $3400 down the drain. This place is a shit show. It's the same 'idk ' idiots that work there. Elderly lady behind me has been hearing the shame shit different toilet for 6 months about her keys to her mailbox. Another person, 7!!!! This was all within the trip I made today. I have demanded an audit and postal inspector investigate this shit show post office, and my ties with the media- I plan to expose it next locally. I can't imagine how much has been internally stolen given the service area they have. I have demanded the post office provide me a P.O. Box for three months without charge due to it being negligence on their end and the incapacity these tax deduction employees have to even do their job in the very least, HONESTLY. The smoking in their back mailroom just hot boxes the entire lobby, the weird hard of hearing lady with her iPhone blasting weird music, the stoner at the front counter... he has no answers for you aside from 'uhhhh' and has rotten fruit, open candy bags and I saw a cockroach crawl across his desk. Ironically, the only one hard to be upset with is the one dressed like a wizard with a candle lit at his desk, he's just super stoned and nice, but equally as 'idk‍'. I would rather sit in the dmv office for business hours... for a week straight than wait in the hour-at the very least- slow ass line that is an inevitable each visit. Anyone with similar issues with no resolution in the near future: call customer relations and the postal inspector. They have filed an investigation for fraud and mail theft for my situation. I would if you want your problem taken seriously. The new fat manager will just give you a bible long list of excuses as to why he's worthless and throw your info out. Maybe he should look at these reviews and see this one is suggesting he put his resume out on linked in. His interaction w me was so appalling, I wasn't the only one recording it. They open up at 8:30 but it won't be until 8:45 until somebody comes to the front desk. Then there's like 5 people who get there first thing in the morning to get passports back to their home country. Miserable, awful place to be in the mornings. The workers are like zombies and the NPC's in line are just as bad. read more

Both have been agents were very friendly. Greg helped me and as per the other yelp review, I read he was amazing. My dog literally ate my mail and he found a way to piece it together so that I could return it without spending a bunch of extra money. There is nothing that would've made this better. read more

Paid extra to have a five year anniversary gift for my fiancee delivered early. No signature was required. On the day it should of been delivered, tracking said an attempt was made but no recipient was there and that a notice was left. This was completely false. Someone was there, no notice was left, lockboxes are on site for bigger packages so no "recipient" needed to be there, and special instructions were given anyway to leave the package on the porch. Simply put, the USPS worker outright lied. The next day was our anniversary. The tracking updated to delivered in mailbox. This is also not true unless they used a lockbox but didn't leave a key. Either way, my anniversary is now three days past and the gift is not in my hands. Do your job better or find someone who will! read more

The self service machine saved the day. I was waiting in line, the next person to be served, and both employees just left. They LEFT right when it was my turn to be helped... Um, okay... At least using USPS is cheap... It took me a minute to learn the self service machine, but now that I know how it will be easier and quicker next time. read more

Scheduled an appointment to obtain my passport and had the easiest experience of any post office I've been to. I arrived early and was able to get in and out before my original appointment time. There is an older white male who works the retail center- what a jerk. I was waiting in line and watched him help 2 older white females, he was incredibly cordial, went out of his way to help them (both of them, 2 separate guests) but wait... when it was my turn? He walked away and disappeared to the back. I saw him finish up the last box, before he left and put everything away. I walked up and waited. He came out and looked at me and snarled "I'll be with you in a moment" I said ok continued to drink my coffee. He came back out to help me, but no he wasn't cordial towards me. One word sentences. Extremely cold towards. When he was done with me do you know he had the nerve to smile and turned the switch back on to help the next (white) customer. I'm so tired of the blatant disrespect. It's clear the only thing wrong with me was the color of my skin, he had no problem helping others. I do have to go back and receive the key to my mailbox, I'll update this review with a name and to see if there's any difference. I know complaining about a government worker will do nothing because unions, especially postal unions only protect worthless individuals. The post office will always be understaffed because no good worker will put up with the conditions, and I will be stuck dealing with a man who clearly does not want to help me. read more

When i first came into this post office i was helped semi well for a passport and when i came back after i made my appointment they informed me that they "tried to cancel all appointments for today. What's the point of making an appointment if they are going to cancel MY appointment for me.
