Came here to ship some things for work. 2 ladies were working, they were very rude and unhelpful. I had a question about why a label wouldn't reprint and was told, "I don't know". No assistance was offered or any effort to even act like they cared. I wouldn't recommend this location and will go out of my way to avoid them. Had to run in quickly befor leaving out of town and had the best help. It was quick and they even taped my box up for me. I brought my own expecting to and the kind lady (I wish I could have gotten her name!), told me they would tape it for me. She picked the exact size box I needed and printed me a copy of the tracking number. read more

I've used this place many times over the years and typically they are cordial and do what you request. Neither exceptionally friendly, nor hostile you can count on a business like atmosphere. If you need to ship something, or make a quick photo copy, they are great. I've used them in the past for many color image print jobs and they have always done good job; however, most recently, I have discovered that is no longer the case. The change is not a function of the personnel, but appears to be a change in the way they actually process the print. If you have ever printed an image from say, Word, you know that size options appear and you can select to print the image as 5x7 or 8x10 and you can 'shrink to fit', etc, but they no longer use that program. I believe they are using the online FedEx image printing service which is crap and does not have the simple option of printing an image to a desired size thus resulting in an $8 upcharge to "resize" the image. Lame. If you are in the same boat, let me assure you that both the Max and Depot still offer the older service. read more

I came here on a Friday night at 11:00 PM, I was happy to see that they were still open. I know that the Fedex/Kinko's use to be 24 hours. I would've been super sad if they were closed. Anyways, I went in here and printed out some birthday invitations online that were unsavable on my desktop to just send through there online services. I then proceeded and the lady who was working printed them on cardstock for me and showed me where the paper cutter was to cut them down. I was informed usually I could just do it myself at the copiers, but she did it for me way faster than I would have done. I will come here anytime i'm needing some printing services. The only thing I was disappointed about was that their stationary wasn't stocked so I couldn't buy any envelopes. read more

I walked into the empty shop and immediately saw 3 employees. No one greeted me. Seriously? Loss of a star there, for sure... The girl finished what she was doing and helped me. I needed some binding spliced from a couple of workbooks we were getting ready to use for Homeschool. I hate bending open a book to stick it in the copier so I thought I would put it in a 3 ring binder in page protectors instead. I feared this "genius" idea would cost me, however the girl told me it would only take one cut for both thin workbooks and it would be 1.49. WHAT?! Okay, now that was a good deal, in my opinion. Conveniently located at North Oak Trafficway and NE 72nd Street, this FedEx location is more than just a drop site for packages. I needed a special print job in a short amount of time. I didn't want to go to a local 1-hour or have to order prints online. So, I checked out this spot. This FedEx site has so much to offer! I was greeted by Michael and explained what I was needing. He quickly helped me narrow down my options and showed me how to use their digital printing kiosks. In a matter of minutes, I had my print job in hand and was headed out the door. The charge was reasonable for a quick turnaround. The process was easy to navigate and I could easily do this on my own the next time. The store is well lit and clean. The resources and equipment were easy to locate. Again, this store has so much to offer! From greeting cards to shipping and packing supplies. Even custom printing orders, large and small. Last night I created an account and made a certificate for a costume contest that we're having at my wedding reception. The trial print was fine, so I tried to log in and make the whole batch. Their system didn't recognize my account, even though I was using the username and password that google stored when I created the account. So we made a new account in my fiance's name. As soon as we did it logged us out and wouldn't let us log in. I instread went straight to designing the certificates. I spent two hours making all of them, but when I clicked publish to pay for their printing, the website said an error occured, but gave me the option to return to my designs. I clicked to return to designs, but I got an error page with a link for customer support on it. When I clicked customer support it brought me to a diferent error page. I'll never use fedex again, and I won't order from someone unless they ship using UPS, Amazon, DHL, or some other service. No more Business for the PoS company. read more

I noticed that this location had a few bad reviews and being a person that uses FedEx Kinko's Ship and Print Centers often around the country, I was quite surprised. They are a little understaffed (or maybe everyone was out to dinner when I came in) but despite having some angry customers and 2 people at this location, they were very helpful. I had a lot to do and the person at the front was not only helping people online but printing out my presentations, formatting what needed to be done and checking on me over the course of an hour and a half. When the printer messed up one of the files that I printed, he was quick and efficient in giving me a refund and having the file replaced. Overall, excellent service all around, but they could upgrade their printers/stations. read more

One thing you can't teach people is to walk in to work with a great attitude..if they have that and knowledge and are problem solvers = generate customers for life. I came in here with reluctance because of another reviewer, but rest assured, the team here is phenomenal! So, what happened? I landed in Kansas City and was under the gun to get something printed and shipped out next day air to a conference, the problem was I showed up about an hour before the final shipment was to leave. This team not only stopped everything to help, but it felt like the whole office jumped in to assist. I could give you all the details on what they did, but all you need to know is my stuff got printed, shipped and is on it's way to the destination for delivery tomorrow because of a dedicated team making it happen! I'm continually astonished at terrible their customer service and workmanship. We have tried numerous time to give them chances to see if they have improved, but without fail, they continue to disappoint. No matter how simple the job, they always (ok 9-10 times) do it wrong or bungle the job. Simple things like, please cut and pad these sheets, ends up as a misaligned, incorrectly cut and padded mess. They have even attempted to color copy my provided prints to correct a mistake on their part. Additionally, I have taken items to them at 4:00 PM to be picked up at 8:00 AM and they still disappoint. Arriving at 8:00 AM and was told it would not be ready until after 10:00. Seriously? Whomever is in charge of quality control and/or customer service, please do your job or find someone that can! This store is partially employed by chimps. I was a DIY bride and one of my projects was the programs for my wedding. A simple but lovely design which includes three folded pages between a cardstock cover with two small holes punched in the center of the crease to tie a ribbon through. Simple, right? I went into Fedex to have them print and drill the holes since they did such a good job with my Save-the-Date cards. The instructions were simple: Type up the text I provided, cut the three pages into the same size and drill holes in the center. I even left an example of the completed program so they had a visual aid. The boy that took my order and instructions was very nice--he even volunteered to cut and drill the covers for me for a very small additional fee. I gladly accepted. Screw up #1 - I came in the next day to review my order before it was printed. They had me check the font and edit the text to make sure there were no mistakes. There were a few typos and formatting issues that I corrected. A few hours later I went back to pick up my order. It LOOKED fine...but when I got it home and went to put them together, I found that the measurements were wrong on one of the sheets so it didn't fit when put together with the others. I took it back to have them redo. A different person took the order this time, remeasured everything and told me to come back in a couple of hours to get them. Screw up #2 - Went back to get them--this time they had the cut the sheets a different length than before so they no longer fit into the covers, and this time the holes were drilled different widths apart on ALL THREE PAGES. All the cardstock I bought no longer fit so that was an expense I had to eat. I handed the paper right back to him and pointed out once again that the holes needed to be even so they could all be put together. He took them back and said they would be ready the next day. Screw up #3 - My third trip back to the store. This time the holes were drilled the same width apart, but one was slightly higher than the other. And the typos and formatting errors that I corrected the first time were now all back. It was to the point now that I couldn't order programs without running the risk of not getting them in time for the wedding, so I just had to take the mess they made and make do with it. I was pissed. I called and spoke to a manager about it and asked for my money back. She was very nice and agreed to the refund. She even had my example I left with her and was saying that she didn't understand how they could have messed up such a simple request. SOOOO...I went in the next day for my refund and asked for that manager. When she met with me, she told me that she would go ahead and give me the refund though it was against the store policy because my fiance had been in before I picked up the final order and approved them. My fiance was in England at the time and he most certainly did not pop up into KC for a day to hang out at Kinko's. I told her this, and she said that she had it in the computer and also had his signature. However, she would not show me the signature. She argued with me for a good 20 minutes, still insisting that my it was indeed my fiance, before I got fed up and walked out. I had my money back and that's really all I wanted. Fortunately for me, my maid of honor got together a team and we spent an entire evening altering hole punches and cutting the pages to fit. The programs still looked good and the errors weren't too noticeable. The only thing keeping this store from getting the one-star bitchslap is one employee--I think her name was Deborah. She was always polite and would go out of her way to make sure the job was perfect. she did my Save-the-Date cards on her own and was patient with my pickiness. She took my initial order for the programs and I know that if she had done the work, they would have been done right the first time. read more

Super fast and excellent customer service. This is my local Fedex & Kinkos. I use them for both professional and personal use. Their staff is well trained, expedient, and extremely knowledgeable. Today they went above and beyond for me and printed out an online order for me that had not been started yet. They were extremely busy due to the holiday and I said that I would come back (I was there to ship an overnight package for work and thought I could get both done). They also were battling power surges and no air conditioning- however, they still volunteered to print out my copies so I would not have to make 2 trips. Really not impressed! I came to scan 2 pieces of my sons artwork and they charge $3.99 a square foot, so a small piece of art cost us about $12 each. This is just for a digital copy/scan. Then they didn't scan it to the fullest quality possible. I had to request that. Also they cannot email the file so I had to buy a flash drive. Having just come from UPS and having better service, emailed delivery of the files and lower pricing all of this seems ridiculous. read more

I street team for a cpl major record labels & went here to get some promo printed that was emailed to me. The lady @ the counter was a lil heavy set woman w Brown hair. Idk if she looks down on ppl w tatt's & thinks she better than me, but she was extremely rude, a real smart ass, & her attitude was very ugly. I will never go to this store again. I've done business @ this location before & have never had any issues. This woman treated me like I was a plague. Not the kinda person I'd want representing my company. Her stand offish & smart ass remarks shocked me that a human being would talk to another human being this way. I ended up going to summerset press on Antioch, where the gentleman took time to make sure I got what I wanted & showed me several options until we figured out what the best option was. I'll continue to do business w ppl who want my business & don't act like they're better than me & have a shitty attitude.
