Their work is further increased by UPS dropping off tons of Amazon packages at the Post Office rather than delivering them to the physical addresses themselves. Despite this increase in work, the same dedicated staff continues to serve with a smile. I don't know how they do it. Five stars once again, and I wish the customers would provide the appreciation the staff deserves.

Grand Lake has a large population of part-time residents, and weekend hours would make it much easier for those of us who are only in town part of the week to take care of postal business. I'd also like to see some modernization. In this day and age, not being able to renew P.O. boxes online seems outdated and unnecessarily inconvenient. Online renewals and more flexible hours would go a long way toward improving the customer experience. Overall, the friendly staff are a positive, but the limited hours and lack of basic online services keep this post office at average for me. A few practical changes would make it much more convenient for the community it serves.

A few days ago I missed an hour of work to stand in this line because after waiting 5 months, and paying $40 to get a key to my mailbox at the apartment I moved into 5 months ago, they finally called me and told me they had a key. When I asked the man behind the counter if he could check to see if he had any mail for me he said "no. It will be in your mailbox." Upon returning to my apartment I searched the wall of US Post Office boxes but there was not one labeled with my unit number. I used the key I was given to attempt to open any box, and finally it worked in one, but it was labeled with a different unit number. I left a note for the postal carrier asking if they could leave my mail in this box because that was the key I was given, but no mail has been left for me. I've been expecting something that was mailed to me over a week ago, so here I stand again in this horrendous line hoping someone can give me some answers or at least give me my mail. This is insane. I would like to think something can be done, but since I'm seeing complaints from over 10 years ago on here I guess there is nothing we can do except accept that it sucks and they absolutely do not care about us or our mail.
