i have had mishap after mishap from the Longmont Post Office. I put in a mail hold online for trips & it is still delivered. no carrier came last week for one day as I had my mailbox flag up with letters to go out. I still have not received my mail from that day. i have little faith in their system as they appear highly unorganized & short staffed. read more

I put in a change of address, they started forwarding my mail already! I went down and spoke to them and they assured me it would be corrected. And now it's happened again! I can't keep going down there to fix their mistake. They did this the first time I moved in Longmont too. read more

I do not have an issue with the post office or staff in and of itself. My concern is that in my neighborhood, Idaho Creek, the letter carrier is unable to consistently deliver the mail and packages to the proper addresses. I lost over $52.00 in medical prescriptions this year due to this. It also make things difficult to get another refill when this happens. I am also delivering mail to the proper home address when I receive mail improperly delivered to me. I never know if things I order are going to be delivered to my box or if they are being delivered to the wrong box. I would appreciate the Post Master resolving the issue. I have heard from other neighbors that the letter carrier has an attitude about his inept work. read more

Really rude and condescending. Incredibly inconsistent delivery and some days just no mail whatsoever. Kind of sad!

A great bunch, they move the line along and are very friendly with me, perhaps because I am very friendly with them and don't get angry over things that are obviously out of their hands, "someone asked a question and the clerk stopped helping the great ME for a second!" Or "I called and called and no one picked up! I'm going to give them ONE star on Yelp and write a 1,000 word essay telling everyone about my victimhood, which happens to me EVERYWHERE! For some reason clerks don't like me!" read more

Tis' the season for a little bit of a wait. The staff is wonderful and keeps calm while others in line become inpatient. My thought is, don't wait until last minute to get your packages and gifts out . And don't be negitive or mean to those that are doing their job. I love coming to the Post Office and when they had their smiley face rating scale, I was sire to always give them a green happy face!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! read more

I send mail, I get mail. Just a male mailing mail, not going postal on the poor mail people. Next time a woman at the post office does a good job, letter know. If a letter has gone missing, it could jst be a typo. But really... don't try to unpack your postal woahs on the human behind the counter. They didn't lose your package, you shouldn't lose your cool. Be nice, you're more likely to get your issue resolved. Thanks for serving US! read more

There have been two occasions in which I have experience unprofessional service. Both have related to a postal employee stopping midway of our business interaction to answer a question from a non-english speaker who clearly thinks that it is ok to just walk up in front of another customer and start a conversation. Neither the non- english speaker nor the postal employee apologized for the interruption. I do empathize with people who face new situations and are not sure as to what do, however, there is a standard of just good common sense of showing " good manners". It is apparent that some of the postal employees at this location tolerate and accept this behavior. So very rude and unprofessional. read more

The lady that does the passports is rude and unhappy for no reason. If anyone needs a passport pick a different location.

Customer service is not available at any post office. I let the phone ring 30 time on two occasions and there was no pick up, no automatic system to advise of waiting time, just hearing an unanswered phone ring. Why would I want to speak to customer service? Well we took vacation and had our mail help until a specific date, upon return there was no mail in our mail box, and no key for the oversize bins. We thought perhaps the mail would be delivered the next day, but when we got home my wife noticed something on our porch bench, out in the open, and to our surprise it was our mail, not even packaged, just banded. And in the banding were new check book checks and a new debit card, so the post office doesn't really care about the security of my mail, or my exposure because of their carelessness! I wonder why people don't trust the U.S. Postal Service! read more

This is your average old school post office. Looks like it hasn't changed in decades and I would safely assume it won't be changing anytime soon either. The locked package and P.O. box area is pretty big but the actual service area is small. I happen to think that the majority of post offices are built similarly with the same dimensions when it comes to that tiny service area. It over flows quickly and easily when more then 6+ patrons are in line. Same snotty and overworked staff members you'd find at any other post office. Sure, some places have amazing employees but that's hard to come by these days. The sweet lady in front of me was complaining that they should know it gets busy on Monday mornings and should have more then two people manning the service area. I'd have to agree but it is what it is. Four stars because this place is a darn post office that has flaws and crappy staff members but what would we do without them and the services they offer?! They literally run our $hit especially those that heavily shop online & get important snail-mail. So, I'm a fan if I like it or not. read more

Absolutely worst experience with a USPS facility. Been there four times over two days trying to claim package from Amazon. No firm word on status, waited about 30 minutes each of three of the four times over the last two days. So 90+ minutes wasted. Website still shows "Out for delivery..." even though we were supposed to pick up at the post office. I'd been really impressed with other facilities throughout the country (we travel full time) and how USPS has been trying to reinvent itself to compete with UPS and FedEx but this is a reminder of a government run operation falls short and should be completely overhauled or abolished and replaced with more efficiently run privately owned or publicly traded corporations. read more

David and Rodrigo are the nicest, most helpful people. I will always come to this post office to see them.

My condo complex uses community mailboxes. The lock on my box has been broken for weeks. I reported it a few weeks ago and since it hadn't been repaired went to the main office to pick up my mail but it wasn't there. Anyway, I filled in another hold card and talked to one of the clerks about the issue. This afternoon the young lady who has taken over the route came to my door with all my mail (I don't know how she found out it should have been held) and not only apologized but said until the lock on my box was repaired she would bring me my mail. I thanked her for her offer and said I would pick it up since I know how little time the mail carriers have to complete their routes and I had the time to do it. But I was extremely impressed and plan to write the local Post Master and tell him so. Sharon y read more

Fairly good service compared to what I've encountered in the big cities. The best times to go are probably mid-afternoon and mid-morning, though it's hit or miss whether there would be 1 person behind the counters or 4. Generally very polite and friendly staff. The parking lot is odd though - it's only one-directional and on the exit onto Terry Street there is a big dip that could scratch up the pad under your front bumper if you have one. read more

Going on the 7th day of my package being lost and the Longmont post office making no effort of advancement to bring ease to my thoughts on where my package is exactly. I struggled about whether this post office should get 3 or 4 stars but decided that four stars was fine. I had to collect my mail from the post office because the communal lock box rusted at the base and fell down during a windstorm. The line was a little long and only 2 clerks were serving customers. It took about 10 minutes in line until I could get my mail. I told him the street name immediately he knew exactly what and where I was talking about. The lobby was clean and so was the post office box area. Parking seems tight, but usually I find a spot without waiting. read more

The workers here have to deal with a bunch of crazy people all the time. But they have been nothing but accommodating and helpful every time I go in. The mail delivery in our neighborhood is sub-par to say the least. There has been a change in the delivery person. For several weeks, we have received little of our own mail and received bundles on the same day belonging to several neighbors. We had a box delivered yesterday, only to be left without ringing the doorbell or any attempt to hide it from view from the street. Worst postoffice ever. I have lived in multiple states, in small towns and big cities, and this takes the cake as the most terrible ever. The line/queue is often out the door at any time of day, as the one or two clerks they have working move at a snail's pace. Definitely understaffed and overworked - you finally get to the counter 30-45+ minutes later and you are met with bad attitude. I work in customer service, I get it, it can be soul crushing at times...but the personalities they have working on the front end here are unacceptable and never, ever friendly - really just downright rude. Hopefully they get more staff soon or if some working there could retire ASAP and get some fresh blood in there. Unfortunately this is the only post office in Longmont, so worth making the trip to FedEx or UPS instead if you can. Also, this is also the only post office that doesn't offer priority mail tape and is incredibly rude if you ask for it. For what priority mail costs, give the people some tape! read more

Longmont, population wise, is almost equal to that of Boulder. However, while Boulder has multiple post office locations; Longmont has one. This office also serves both the city and rural areas around it. And, when the Longmont Post Office was built, the population was less than 40,000; it now serves nearly 100,000. Adding to this, the Denver region will not assign more staff, which means, if a carrier takes a vacation, expect your mail to arrive as late as 8 PM; or not delivered until the next day. Also, whomever they use to deliver packages, on Sunday, will deliver those packages to insecure locations, like a side walk or driveway. A place that a thief can easily get to. These problems, began in about 2014, and have gotten steadily worse. The only solace, is my regular carrier delivers the mail each day, not later than 3:30 PM. When she is on vacation, then things get bad. If I need to go to a post office, I go to the small one in Hygiene. Good, friendly quick service. That post office serves a mainly rural area. The USPS needs to set up at least two more stations, in Longmont, on the southwest and northeast sides, where the population continues to grow. One office for over 100,000 people is certainly not working. read more

This is by far the worst postal service that I have ever experienced. If I had not gone into the post office myself my package would potentially be lost forever and it was and engagement ring. They don't answer the phone, I learned my package was on the truck that comes by my apartment for days, and another excuse they said half of their staff called in when it was the first snow of the year I didn't receive my mail for two days due to snow? Wow. Pathetic that tax dollars actually make it to this place. Highly suggest avoiding them at all cost. read more

I tried calling the USPS general number, and what a waste of time... Since my issue was specific (my hold mail not been delivered as requested) and not automated, I asked to be directed to an agent. The recording then stated that the wait time would be 1h and 16min. What?!?! Then I tried calling my local post office (Coffman St, Longmont CO). I tried several times, but nobody answers it. I then had to leave work and go to the post office in person, stand in line (fortunately not too long), just to be told my mail was not there?!? And in case I don't get it, to call their number. I mean, the number they do not answer ... I just hope I get my hold mail today, so I won't need to make another visit to the post office (since the phone number I got is useless, as is the main USPS number...). read more

I wish I could give 0 stars, but 1 is the lowest. We have had continual problems with mail delivery from the Longmont, CO post office (mail delivered to the wrong addresses multiple times a week and throughout our neighborhood). The latest problem involved a package that was delivered Thursday, February 15, and we received the following confirmation regarding package delivery: DELIVERED PARCEL LOCKER Feb-15-2018, 15:57 PM, LONGMONT, 80504 CONCERN: The key for the parcel locker was not left in my mailbox as it should have been. We called the Longmont, CO post office and spoke with Mike on Friday, February 16 to notify them that the key to the parcel box was not received. We were told that we would receive a phone call from the post office and that we would be given the parcel locker key. It is Saturday and the mail was delivered, but they didn't give provide the key as promised. At the earliest, we will receive the package on Tuesday (if they don't screw up once again). The package is outside in the cold and possibly being damaged over these many days. We officially submitted a complaint to the US Post Office (online) for this problem. This is the 3rd complaint submitted and for the first 2 complaints, only the auto confirmation email was returned (no person from the post office actually has responded to the complaints). read more

I order prints of my daughter's senior pictures. When I got notification today that the package had been delivered imm peeked out my front door expecting to see it on my porch. When it wasn't I headed out to the mailbox and what do you know, they had shoved an envelope with 8 x 10 photos in it, into my mailbox to the extent I needed to use both hands to pull the package out because it was wedged in there so tightly. What is with the lack of common sense? My 8 x 10 photos are creased. I am furious that I now have to re-order these. AND If you call the 800 number for the post office there's no option to cover something like this. read more

The postal service in Longmont is awful! I am so tired of getting other people's mail misdelivered to my address, and wondering how often my own mail gets misdelivered to others. Admittedly I only know for certain of one time they lost my own mail, but there's been at least a dozen times I've gotten the wrong mail delivered to me in the last year or so. Of course, I can understand the occasional mistake, and I always just write "misdelivered" on it and leave it in the mailbox when it happens, but come on, once a month is WAY TOO OFTEN! It's never been even close to this bad anywhere else I've lived. read more

Wish there was a "negative" star rating. Had to go to this facility 2 days in a row. Both days I complained about old snow build-up and terribly hazardous conditions in and around the handicapped parking area. I watched two different people try to maneuver themselves out of their cars or van onto this mess where I was waiting to help rescue them. I spoke to 2 different people (one a supervisor) but nothing was done after I went back there today. I spoke to several other customers who were upset with the situation as well. Who do we contact to get the parking lot cleaned up?? If I NEVER have to go back to this place, I won't. It's horrible and the clerks are unhelpful and even rude. read more

I encountered the rudest clerk at this Longmont post office. You need to better school him on customer service #101. If it still doesn't work he will order a new one. I'm not leaving to drive home, come back and wait on another 20 min line just to stoke his fat ego . I like comparisons. I feel it is easier for people to understand a wider array of concepts if they have a solid frame of reference. So, for this review I will be using the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (a tectonic plate) and comparing it to the Longmont Post Office (A Post Office). Now the Mid Atlantic Ridge (Or MAL as I will be calling it for the remainder of this review) moves at about 2.5cm per year, this is roughly the speed in which your fingernails grow. But next to the employees at this Post Office the MAL may as well be Usain Bolt. Never in my life have I experienced the sensation of feeling (what little I have left of) my hairs grow. But as I stood there, motionless in that line, it was as though I was in some sort of strange time vortex, like the Episode of Star Trek: ToS "Wink of an Eye" (Google it if I have dove to deep into geekdom). If you are sending a package, do yourself a solid and go to The UPS store or FedEx, or Ace Hardware (apparently they too ship packages). Should you NOT heed this advice and venture into this Molasses of Time, clear your schedule, maybe take an interesting companion and pack a lunch. For me, I'll surf the MAL for kicks. read more
