This shop used to be a wonderful and convenient alternative to the post office or FedEx/UPS. I always appreciated their services, along with the great selection of gifts, cards, unique knick-knacks, shipping boxes, and envelopes. The former owners and staff were consistently gracious and friendly. Unfortunately, the experience has changed significantly under the new ownership. The service feels mediocre at best, and the added charges--such as $2 to print a return label and another $2 just to use their tape to seal a small box unless you purchase a full roll--make customers feel nickel-and-dimed. For better service and a more customer-friendly experience, I'd recommend going to UPS or FedEx instead. read more

Good for shipping but great for printing. The print expert Tacoma was so helpful with a last minute print order! She gave advice about paper and gave me a few ideas for future jobs. They also do notary, since the bank won't anymore. Also the store is very clean and smells so nice now. read more

I dropped off 15 small packages and he said I was not aloud to and to dig them out of the huge bucket of packages after I already put them in there. saying I can't drop them off since I didn't purchase anything from his store. if you don't want people to drop off packages don't offer it. rude, was in my face and told me he would put the packages aside and "he'll see what he'll do with them." read more

Ive used this place for years and now they make a stink about dropping off usps packages. They dont want you dropping off more than 2 usps packages per customer unless you have a mailbox with them and at that point there is no reason to use this place over any other mail center or post office. It feels like they dont even want you in there unless you're paying for a mailbox & Im a little confused about how a mail center that doesn't want to take mail works. read more

Mail center- one would think it's ok to drop off packages as it's advertised you can ship USPS, Fed Ex and UPS. I have shipped items there for years but the new owner- the man- is rude and very unwelcoming. It appears by past reviews he needs some training in customer service skills or a new job as he's down right rude. He wasn't having a bad day as it's been a handful of times. I have been visiting this Aim location for a lot of years. I have always been able to get packages delivered there and pick them up for $2.00/package. I understand that prices need to go up so I was not surprised when I went to pick up a package and I was told by the man that the price had gone up... but I was surprised when he said they went up to $10.00! That's 500%! Before he told me the price, I gave him a $20 bill. I started to ask him when did this happen? I had been in only one month before and it was $2.00. He started his spiel that all UPS and other mail stores are charging $10 and that they were getting too many packages. Too many packages? What? Isn't that what you guys do? I asked him if he put up a sign to warn people that the price was going up. His reply was, "Nope." So, he has me in a spot. He is holding my package hostage. Every time I order something online, I factor in the cost to get it to my living room ensuring it doesn't get stolen from my porch. What if my package costs $20 to get to the Aim store? Do you think I am going to pay $10 to pick it up? I may pay $2 but not $10. So, I finally just said, "Ok give me my change!" I guess it's a time lock and he said he was working on it. After more conversing, he threw my $20 back at me (not in a good way) and snickered and told me he would see me next time I came in. Not a chance. I have to be desperate to go back in there. A little customer service suggestion that would have defused the situation: if he would have said, "Ok, I will give it to you for $2 this time but just know the cost is $10 from now on." I would have been happy with that and I would be back. Not now. Another tidbit is the Saturday hours used to be 9-5 but now on the door it says 10-3. Neither the website nor yelp has been updated (warning people of change is not a strong suit of theirs it seems). My chiropractor also was astounded at the lack of customer service that the new owners have brought in. Charging for small things like printing a label which used to be free now costs $2 and they weren't going to print the label she needed for some reason and really weren't very apologetic for it! I am not sure of the details of that label, all she told me was she was always able to get that label printed with the previous owners. I am sure all the prices have gone up on everything in this store (hopefully not 500%) otherwise how can they pay for shorter Saturday hours (and yelp says they are closed on Thursdays as well)? Really? Oh, and I went in around Thanksgiving and there was what seemed to be a "customer appreciation" party going on with people eating pizza, etc. That's all fine but they set the pizza table up right inside the front door and people were gathered around it so I had a hard time getting past the people to the counter to pick up my package. Who cares about blocking business when you are schmoozing those who will pay the higher prices? I will get my packages delivered to my mom's house or my work instead of this place. The new ownership attitude has me making sure that whoever I come across will hear about my experience there. I am the one who turned my chiropractor on to this place. Her and I are in agreement. Rather go anywhere else for sure. BTW, guys, if you want to compare yourselves to UPS stores and their prices, they are open on Sundays and Thursdays all year. I ship packages weekly. I use USPS, UPS, and FedEx. I used to drive to each shop individually, and it was a hassle. But AIM Mail Center takes all of them and I can just walk in, leave it on the table, and leave! I feel bad I don't buy anything, so next time I have some free time, I'll look around and support the shop. read more

Went in and had my act together, so I thought. There was a gentlemen, black hair, buzz cut, tall w/glasses. He offered to help me. First thing I said is..."I've never done this before,so....FYI". He said let's see what you got. I pulled out all my stuff & was told firmly. My packaging did not fit the guidelines to be sent. I was like, huh. I asked why. And he answers. It's not an approved package, it won't ship. He'd have to use a ton of Tape on my package to secure it. I was so in shock. So I left, spent days researching. Called manufacturers of the mail envelope I'd purchased from a 3rd party, googled rules and regulations. I came up w/nothing! No info on why I wasn't meeting regulations. I had a professional in the field of shipping tell me my set-up wasn't approved to ship safely. So I felt the need after my research for some answers as to why! Because, why would he say that. So, I went back in. Same set-up I had previous. The same gentlemen helped me. I started off by saying. " you helped me a couple days ago. And you said I couldn't ship. I've done research, called the manufacturing company. The label company I'm using. And no answers". Can you explain to me why I can't use this shipping set-up to ship today?" I shit you not this guy said. "You can use that, why can't you use it?" You said I couldn't. "Ohhhh. That's not UPS approved, but if you want to take a chance on that.. go ahead". A CHANCE!!? What does that mean, a chance. Explain it to me. As the expert why are you using buzzwords like 'cant' 'chance' .. can you tell me why as the expert...Why are you saying take a chance. I'm learning here, what about my package is such a risk? So I can change it going forward. "Nothing ma'am, you can use it". My mind was blown that I spent days and hours trying to answer a question that was all because now that I think about it. A chance to up sell UPS packaging and I took it very literal and tried to fix a problem on my end that didn't even need fixing. He even let me leave the first time. No shipment made. Now I can ship!? So now. I'm curious. I said , ok let's ship it. Ship it. Everything is labeled and let's do it. He noticed the zip code was California and he now hits me with. "California is closed! I said what. He said yea their mail has been being rejected so if you ship today and it's rejected, that's 100% loss on your end. Still wanna do it?" And buzzword filled answer again.. I'm like California is closed? He asks me again. Wanna do it? I'm like confused. I haven't heard California is closed. Then he said. "Well, San Francisco has been refusing packages. I haven't heard about Sherman oaks. Let me ask... walks over asks a woman, comes back. "Well. I guess we hadn't had any sent back by Sherman oaks. Wanna do it?" I'm like OMFG, this guy is spewing misinformation everywhere. I can't send my package now I can...California is closed now it's open. This guy was huffing and puffing at every question and concern I had. But as frustrated as he was getting with my inquisitive concerns. He brings it upon himself by saying things that are out of pocket. It's like. If you don't want to be questioned and get angry when a customer "questions you" then don't say things that are questionable and vague as F%#*. "If you want to take a chance, go ahead". Like what does that even mean. A chance !????? This dude is a child trapped in a grown mans body. He was so bothered by me. But, I'm trying to keep this business going and he needs to understand he's getting paid to do a job. And that's the job he chose. So that means helping people like me who are new and learning. He needs to really watch what he says. If he was told to say these things by corporate then rephrase them. well ma'am that pkg is not UPS approved. You can however send it today. As a professional shipper who's seen it all. I suggest this XYZ to ensure a safe arrival. But, your set up is good too and I think we can go from here if you'd like. ANYTHING , other than what this guy has said. Once we got the address correct and decided to ship to "closed" California. I asked 1 more question. Last time I was here. You said you had to tape the entire package if you sent it. Today you're telling me this same package is ok to ship. Can you show me what you would have tapped. Where and why. So I know. His answer..no need for tape, you took the chance on this package, so I guess we will see. WTF. I still have zero answers. So now no need for tape when he specifically told me last week my Shipping was not approved to send and it would take a TON of tape to make it hit spec. Now today. No tape , Nothing! This guy was so petty. It was unbelievable. And if he hates his job that much. I get it. It's tough times for ALL of us. As a chef I've had to rewrite my entire business model during this pandemic. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a print/mail service. Called ahead of time to make sure they had wifi so I could access the material I needed to print before I drove 30 min out of the way. They said "no problem". I get there and they refuse to give me the password for the wifi. What printing service company in 2015 doesn't allow their customers access to wifi??? They offered to let me pull up my personal email on their public computer...which I will never do. I don't input my personal information and passwords into public computers for any reason. Then the ladies behind the counter snarkly shrugged their shoulders and said "see ya". Awful experience...awful service...awful attitudes...completely unhelpful.
