They have NOT offered public showers for at least 7 years. Sorry fellow Rocky Mountain NP campers. I just talked to the owner. Only go here for laundry, I'm sure it's a wonderful business. read more

We used to do our laundry here every week for 13 years when we lived up there, was always... always clean. Our washer broke and went back after a couple of years... still clean! Fantastic staff as well! Machines in good working order too. Can be crowded in the summer months though. read more

This place was hard to find. It is hidden and even with the great directions from David M., it took us several tries to locate it. We were just glad a laundromat existed in Estes Park as we were in desperate need of washing our clothes and we still had several days left to go in our road trip. Place is nice and large. Plenty of machines to choose from. They are very old though and do not work very well. Our clothes came out of the dryer still damp and we had to hang them all over the hotel room overnight. Big plus is the kid friendly wait area. They have lots of coloring books, crayons and a TV to keep the kids occupied. For the adults, there were plenty of magazines. Another big plus is the friendly staff. They were more than happy to talk to us at length about the best places to visit in the park and the town. My first thought was the laundry was a bit pricey, but I haven't had to go to a laundromat for 10 years when I would pay $1.50 for a load (including washer and dryer). I doubt those prices are relevant anymore especially considering that was at an apartment laundromat, not a public one. read more

Great spot to do laundry in town; they only have a couple large machines, but they have good prices and really friendly service. The laundromat is tucked away in the top corner of the Stanley Village shopping center, near the café and hardware store. The owner is exceptionally friendly and engaging, and welcomes everyone in and offers assistance. She stated that their family has owned this laundromat for 27 years, and the local pride shows. $2.00 for a small washer, $6.00 for a large. $1.25 for a small dryer for 45 minutes, $0.25 for seven and a half minutes in the large one. The only downside is that there's no WiFi, so bring a book or stroll down to Safeway, grab a coffee and sit in the wee Starbucks for free internet. read more

This business is closed to the public, their words not mine. They only deal with commercial and Vacation rental operators.

Nice friendly staff. Equipment clean, works well. Plenty of tables for folding. Nice area to wait. Good, free Wi-Fi. Campers will enjoy the showers, $7. BUT - VERY expensive, MUCH more than other touristy areas like Sedona, Joshua Tree, Spearfish, and Santa Fe. The only other place to shower here in town is $13, but $7 compares to $5 in Joshua Tree, $3 in Santa Fe. Older (well maintained!) equipment, e.g. dryers don't show how much time left. Not enough larger equipment. A disappointment compared to other "Maytag" branded laundries I've used in Flagstaff and Santa Fe. It's a nice place. If cost doesn't matter to you, or if you don't like/need larger equipment, I'd give it an extra star. read more

Four of us went there to shower. Super nice people and a real $ value for unlimited time. There were 3 shower stalls for women and men. Was just what we needed to feel human again read more

While difficult to find (it's off a breezeway in the corner of a L-shaped strip mall) doing laundry here turned out perfect. People were friendly, machines worked, prices reasonable, and no real hassle. When one thing went wrong -- the soap dispenser stuck -- someone appeared almost instantly next to me to open the dispenser and manually sell me two boxes. I didn't have to ask. They also bought back my extra quarters. They also suggested that, since I had larger loads of laundry, I should finish any damp stuff in one of their four over-sized dryers which run for 7.5 minutes per quarter. That saved me a least half an hour and a bit of agita. Checking dryer filters also helped. This is the second summer traveling where we've needed to do laundry partway through a trip. The only difficulty here was finding the place. Turns out there is parking along the side of the building if you can find the driveway on the side of the hardware store that runs along behind the hardware store and around the back of the laundromat and the rest of the complex. read more

Previous reviewer David M hit the nail on the head when he compared finding showers in Estes Park to finding a public bathroom in NYC; there is not another pay shower to be found (at least, not easily). Are you hearing me, Estes Park? Someone who is ready to make a LOT of money simply needs to open a dedicated shower business and undersell Dad's Maytag. Sadly (and I disagree with David M on this point), Dad's Maytag is far from a "deal." We rushed from our hikes every day desperate for a shower, only to pay what we felt was exorbitant compared to those in Ouray, CO ($3) and Mesa Verde, CO. They raised prices and limited hours between David's review and our trip, evidently. So desperate were we to not support expensive showers, we attempted the solar shower in RMNP without the right equipment. At that rate, Dad's Maytag is a damn sight better than cold water in a 60-degree breeze. And Dad's Maytag knows it. read more

If I could give them a negative "5", I would. Planned the day and evening on taking a shower after hiking all day and before dinner. Website said it would be open. When we arrived, they turned us away. Even though employees were there, they shut off the showers at 5PM. Heck, people are still out getting dirty! There are no showers at the National Park campgrounds; so we were depending on Dad's Laundry. Their excuse, "Can't get help to stay open later." (even though help was there and they could have easily allowed us to take our showers. ) They turned away SEVEN people while I was there! That's $49 in revenue, minimum in less than 15 minutes. Stupid business practice! Very unfriendly. They've made an enemy. read more

I have known family for 20 years. The family business is top of the class. Always best service,

If you're camping in the area and need a shower, this place will work. It's not exactly a luxury bathroom, but there's hot water and it was clean. The woman I dealt with was very nice, and there wasn't a time limit or anything. Showers were $6, and there's plenty of stuff in this strip mall to keep you entertained if you get done early and have to wait on a friend. read more

Fantastic first visit. Heidi that runs this establishment was super helpful and accommodating. I had over 100 blankets to wash and she made the process easy. I will be back for sure! read more

One star for you - closed at 2:30 in the afternoon?! Yes, you had the Closed sign on the door, but the other door was wide open and there were customers in there doing laundry. The staff was pretty snooty about it too. Buh-bye. read more

Finding shower facilities near RMNP is nearly as difficult as finding a public restroom in NYC. I finally found them at Dad's Maytag Laundry & Showers. If you're on a journey to "find yourself" in the mountains but think smelling your ever-worsening BO is getting to know yourself a little too well, come here. Drive into the shopping center with the Safeway and keep driving to the northwest corner of the strip center. The laundromat is in the very corner. A washer is $1.50 and dryers are $1.25. Hours are 7am - 7pm. You can also take a shower here for $5. After spending several days wandering through the woods vainly attempting to think deep thoughts, I cannot begin to explain what a bargain $5 is to feel clean again! You get a private stall, you can control the temperature of the water, and the hot water comes on immediately. Bring everything you need - soap, towel, flip flops, etc. because they're not provided (but these items are available for purchase). Everything you forgot to bring from home is for sale or rent here. A single-use box of detergent is $1.25, and irons, dryer sheets, hand soap, towels, shaving cream, razors, etc. are available, and there's a change machine too. You could walk in here with nothing but a $20 bill and walk out laundered, showered, and groomed. What a deal! read more

Somehow--in a laundromat and pay shower--we felt completely at home, at ease, and more comfortable than in our own hotel. This has something--or everything--to do with "mom" and "dad," who are some of the nicest, most genuine folks you will encounter in Estes Park or anywhere else, for that matter. Other than the kindness of the proprietors, the most remarkable thing is the unbelievable cleanliness and "spic n span" of the whole place, especially the showers, which are beautifully tiled, completely private, and which get cleaned by hand by "dad" after every single shower. Unlimited hot water is the icing on the cake. Simply put, if you are camping in Estes Park or just want to feel clean and comfortable, don't delay: get yourself to Dad's Maytag Laundry toot suite! read more

My girlfriend and I were camping in the area and needed a place to shower. We found this place online and were very impressed! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the showers were nice, clean, and hot. I will definitely be stopping in again if I am ever back camping around Estes Park. read more

Who closes at 10:30 AM on a Saturday? People work and do chores on the weekend. The staff here can be kind but usually are short on courtesy and not worth a trip. There are other laundromats who are much kinder and have better machines read more

If you find yourself in need of laundromat, this is the place to go! The service here was beyond amazing. The women running the mat was so friendly and so helpful. Cleanest laundromat we've ever been in showers were great also. Have no problem coming here again.

Great little place. We showered here before heading back to DIA after a very long day of hiking. Showers were clean, plenty of hot water and a little area to get ready. Staff was very friendly. Owner was very nice older gentleman originally from Iowa. Go Hawks!! read more

DIRTY, EXPENSIVE, AND RUDE!!! The place is nearly impossible to find, even with a gps. The showers were small and dirty. The worst part was it is $5 per person and the attendant was super nice BEFORE she took our money..she said we had as much time as we needed for that price..but once we went in, the lady came around and ran both men and women out if the shower. She told them to get their stuff and move on. And these were people who had only been in there maybe 6-8 minutes..they even have signs posted about wiping the shower wall down and not using much hot water. In 2,000 miles of traveling, this was by far the worst shower we paid for! do yourself a huge favor and get a shower at the KOA! read more

Super friendly and very clean. They even let me use their iron! Well priced considering this was the only gig in town.

We visited this facility twice during our camping trip at Rocky Mountain National Park. One day we came to do our laundry and another day we came to take showers. Both times it was a great experience. The washers and dryers were new and they had a triple load washer that was perfect for our sleeping bags. The showers were very clean with great water pressure. There was free wifi, coffee, and magazines while we waited. The girl working there was super nice and friendly. read more

The showers are hot, with strong pressure, and private (you shower in your own little booth). And, they are definitely better than the showers at Village Laundry. The only negative is that they are only open from 8-5 in the summer. read more

I was on vacation in Estes Park this past Christmas. This was at the tail-end of my vacation, and I was running out of clean clothes. Wound up needing to do laundry the day before Christmas. Fortunate for me Dad's Maytag Laundry was open. I've been to a LOT of laundromats in my lifetime, and usually hated most of them. Dad's Maytag Laundry is hands down the fanciest, nicest laundromat I've ever been to. First off, it's immaculate. Everything in there seems like it's brand new. Second, the layout of the place is AMAZING! Whoever designed this place is a GENIUS! I've never seen this layout anywhere else, but it's so convenient. Each station has a huge counter, and two washers and dryers, so you don't have to go running around the place, crawling over people to get your laundry done. BRILLIANT! I wish they would copyright it, and franchise it all over the country, and world. If that wasn't enough, they have a small library, so if you forgot to bring a book, there's probably something there you can read while you wait. They have plenty of chairs to sit down in if you want. The lady that was there was super nice, and helpful, and knowledgeable. Doing laundry is usually a hassle, but this was the most pleasant laundromat experience of my life. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Five stars!!! read more

We camped for a week in Estes Park and did our laundry and took showers here. It's super clean and smells wonderful, the showers are hot and they let you take as long as you need.
