I have owned property in the area for 20 years and the Dillon Post Office was a source of frustration, depression, and anxiety levels higher than war deployments & ex-wives combined. It is finally being occupied by employees that possess passion, integrity, and most importantly intelligence. Highlights Include: * Supply ample package locker box kiosks; no more 4 hour lines for a single package. * Provide residential address to circumvent the many shippers that refuse PO Boxes (eg. 500 Lake Dillon Dr Unit [PO Box #]); this is a seemingly simple but brilliant change that will significantly reduce frustration, depression, anxiety. * Promise to attempt customer contact if an issue is encountered regarding delivery. * Clean with modernized fixtures; supervisor repainted main lobby himself. Grateful, I could literally (rare modern proper use of the word) write a dissertation on the negative life altering issues I have experienced; these changes must be divine intervention. read more

I was mailed three items to my PO box in Dillon. Two of them were lost and never found. Worst post office in the United States!

I live at the Cove in Dillon. My Amazon packages keep getting lost. I had a package shipped. Never got to me. I ordered a replacement. That one ALSO gets lost. Amazon will not send more than one replacement. So now I just cant get that item. I have a subscription for another item. I got someone elses package instead. Unfortunately, I didnt notice for a few weeks and now I cant get a replacement. So, I'm out $100. 3 packages lost in the space of 5 weeks. Apparently, I need to go to the mailboxes and watch over them to make sure they dont lose my stuff. read more

I have never had a good experience at this post office. My package got delivered at 10am on Friday and I was told by the guy in the front that it would be in my box by end of day. I spoke with him at the end of the day since it was not in my box and he said "oh we don't process anything same day it may be ready tomorrow but probably by Monday" read more

Horrible horrible post office. Lost my package after they claimed an insufficient address. Told me to contact the sender since it was returned to them even though USPS was the sender. Awful customer service, telling me I had to pay $20 to intercept a package THEY messed up. I am absolutely livid and done with this place. Least helpful place I've ever been to and they couldn't even tell me where to find my lost package and I can't get a refund because I need to return to sender. God awful. read more

This is by far the worst post office I've been to. When you get a package delivered, you can expect to wait 2-7 business days for it to actually be available for pick up or placed in your PO Box. Out of over 2 years of using this post office I have only ever gotten one package on time. read more

Pretty bad post office, used to work for ups and we were so much better. Staff is really disorganized and it looks like a mess every time. Packages never placed in boxes so they can actually be picked up after hours. Only open 9-5 so that kind of needs to be an option or else it takes weeks to get your package. They choose when to do their jobs correctly I recently had to renew my P.O. Box and nobody said my roommate had to resign any paperwork but he received packages even after the renewal but all of a sudden they chose to do their job and resend his package back to the sender even though I got there before it was shipped out they still didn't want to hand him his package because his name wasn't on the PO Box now he's going through two weeks of bullshit all because Dillon Post Office can't find good workers that actually do care about their jobs they might as well give people mailboxes and shut it down at this point because it's a waste of money and time read more

Terrible Terrible. They can't get the mail in Your po box. Mail placed in wrong boxes. Packages sent back to sender for no reason. Proof of delivery and labels correct but still returned to sender. They don't home deliver. If you order something you need to put BOTH your PO Box and your home address as you never know how it will be delivered. If it arrives on a Saturday stoned moronic Denver part time workers 100% return it as they cant figure out a street addressed on one line and a PO Box on the second line and return it as undeliverable. If it arrives M-F you get your package. When you tell them to train their temp workers they indicate that it is no problem for you to have to reorder twice to get a package and wait a month. This is by far the WORST establishment I have ever came across in my life. If I could give zero stars, I would. I paid for a P.o. box at this location and had so many packages lost INSIDE the post office?? Makes no sense. There's always an incredibly long line and what seems to be the only employee that works the front is insanely rude and she'll disrespect you any chance she gets. I try and find different ways to send my packages to my grandchildren who live in Dillon. I just had a package from Barnes & Noble rejected by the Dillon post office. They have a terrible system of turning UPS packages into USPS (my daughter is paying to upgrade to keep the package being UPS instead of going to Surepost) that are not classified as Sure Post. The Dillon post office sent back a bundle of books and workbooks for my grandkids. It had my daughter's street address (which was correct) and they rejected it. She has a PO Box, but with 3 little children it is not safe to go to the Post Office. I love my local post office. I am convinced that the Dillon post office is heartless and not serving their community properly that lives there year round. read more

If you are a second homeowner beware. You will not get any packages delivered to your home if your mail is being forwarded to a different address. Call Amazon and tell them you do not want to use the postal service. It took me 4 trips to this post office to be finally told they had been sending all my boxes back to FL. Yes, even at Christmas boxes from and for family! I agree with the other reviews here, go over to the UPS warehouse in Silverthorne and see how they are more efficient and customer service oriented. There are plenty of reviews on this Post Office in Dillon, so i wont repeat what has already been detailed. The reviews are accurate. This location is just a mess. They have some real problems and we always dread it when we have to go there to ship something. We usually just go to UPS - its more expensive, but the service is so much better. Thankfully we live in a community where we get home delivery in Summit County. This Post Office needs to be closed, re-evaluated, and re-opened with an entirely new staff and new approach. read more

I have been in this county forever and the amount of mail I'm sure has tripled that comes through this office. On that note, for the amount of postage and packages that come through this office the staff here does great! Rob (i believe that's his name), has been so very helpful Any and every time i have had a question or a need with a package. When he has not been available the postmaster Fred has also been super helpful. They do their best here and do serve us wonderfully. Thank you to them for being there day in and day out through all our guff! They deserve way more credit than we're the general public ever gives. Thank you again! read more

I live in the area and pay for a PO Box here. During the past 18 months, the staff has lost two packages that were confirmed as having been delivered to the PO, via USPS tracking. Doubtful I'll recoup either loss, about $150 total, and dismissive attitude from the staff, including the Postmaster himself. read more

I live here in town and have had nothing but good things to say about the staff! With the new trend of Amazon, the packages have tripled over the years, that being said, people need to be patient in getting items and service from the post office. They have tons of mail flooding through the center! So if you are in a hurry, I would suggest you take a visit to the dispensary before going to the Post Office! This post office has some serious issues for one thing I went to get a p.o.box while being on vacation and the person working there told me that he didn't have time the time or space for me to have a p.o box because I don't live here and he's sick of "out of Towners" coming in and getting them but finished it with "no offense to you" wow thanks!! The Dillon Colorado post office should be closed down! Someone needs to come and do something. Getting mail is a RIGHT not a privilege! I sent over $400 in packages in the past month that NEVER got to their destinations even close to the dates they were estimated but I still didn't get any money back although I had to track and find the deliveries and fill out missing packages requests. I have a home that receives mail in a house-address mail box but my friends are getting "return to sender" mail return regularly. Orders I've placed are being rejected by the Dillon post office and sent back. WTF! Get your act together and act as the business you are! Use fed ex or UPS. Shame on you USPS! read more

This Summer they sent back three magazines that I paid for in subscriptions and marked them as undeliverable...magazines that easily fit in my mailbox with no explanation whatsoever.This is not acceptable on any level they are magazines not big objects that obstruct .This was not a one time thing...its like ordering something on auto order fro Amazon and them sending it back.....only it's a MAGAZINE!!!! read more

This post office is by far the worst post office that I have ever been to in my entire life. I own and live in a property up here that does not receive residential mail service. So I have to have a PO Box. That box is provided for free. However they continuously lock my box out and make me prove that I live here. I've had to do it twice in the last three months. These people are the most inept, incompetent And useless employees that I have ever seen. If they worked in the private sector they would be fired immediately. Every post office Customer, I really have no choice but to use them because they hold my mail for ransom until I go up to the counter and repetitively go through the same process that I've gone through over and over again. It's like they are trying to be the most difficult place in the world. If you have other options use them. This place is a black hole for your mail. They have my box currently locked out right now, And I have two packages waiting for me from Amazon. I just renewed the box about two months ago. They closed my PO BOX for about two days, I was waiting for my debit card. The verification paper arrived about a week and a half ago and today when I checked I got the withdrawl/deposit booklet, so I'm wondering where's my card???? I believe that they have misplaced my mail although I am not sure. Other times I have came to this establishment a lady was very rude while attending us we had to pull out an ID and she told the other person to come up even though we already had it out by then. read more
