Georgetown USPS is the best! I was so sorry that I missed Doreen's last day, she was so friendly and nice every single time I can.

I confirmed this multiple times over the weeks leading up to the move and was assured that their team had the expertise to move it safely without causing damage. On moving day, for some reason, they had to go back and get a different truck and they initially sent four movers (I had increased the crew size from three to four specifically because of the piano). Despite this, they ultimately had to bring in a fifth mover because the team was unable to handle the piano themselves. The results were disastrous. The crew damaged walls down to the studs, broke multiple balusters, damaged the handrail and baseboards, broke several pieces of furniture, and shattered a large ceramic pot that had been intentionally moved out of their path. There were only 41 items to move, and the old and new homes were approximately three miles apart, yet the move required two trips and took 11.5 hours. I was told much of the time was spent wrapping and protecting items. However, the quality of that work did not reflect the time charged. For example, my massage chair arrived with minimal protection and sustained multiple areas of damage. Nothing was crated. As it became clear that the crew was struggling, I attempted to contact their manager, David, for assistance. Every interaction was met with arrogance, defiance, and dismissiveness rather than any effort to resolve the situation. To make matters worse, the crew left at exactly 9:00 PM (at 4:30 PM when I needed to pay for them to deliver the furniture they knew it would take until 9:00??). They left the treadmill standing upright and facing the wrong direction, left the Peloton fully wrapped, did not remount the television, and left behind boxes, empty tape rolls, and other debris. After all of this, I was forced to file a damage claim. I was then told that my claim would simply be placed in a queue and that I would be contacted by an adjuster at some unspecified point in the future. An assessor was assigned and submitted a DocuSign to me for an amount that was just over $1000 when I sustained closer to $11,000 worth of damage. This Sunday will be 30 days since I submitted the claim. NOTE: I had to submit it twice. They supposedly didn't get it the first time even though I have read receipts. No follow-up to all the documentation I provided from both a furniture adjuster as well as the construction company that did all the work and finish the day prior to AMS movers coming into my home and doing all the damage to my personal property and the home itself. This was, without question, the worst moving experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you have valuable or difficult-to-move items.
