At that time the staff member was very friendly and when I asked her about the charge, she told me that I did not owe anything. However, this 1 star rating is related to the way we were treated today. I made the appointment and drove there. I opened my hatch and after the cart was loaded, the male staff member treated me like I did not exist. Even after I explained that I was paying the fee, he still did not look at me. I believe that since there was friction among the two of us so when he weighed the items on the cart he quoted a fee of $147.50. I knew that it couldn't have weighed that much and when I told him that we could not afford that, and were about to put these items back in my car, miraculously the price was reduced a couple of times and then eventually to $46.50. Golden holds a free annual electronic drop off and if I ever have to recycle electronics, I will use that service.

The rudest owner I have ever experienced in a service business. Not just once, but on several…read moreoccasions this jerk has confronted me about some trivial matter. Today, I was getting change and he confronted me that change is only for customers because it "makes so much more work for him"....Buddy, that is literally your job - servicing the public. I didn't have my laundry with me but planned to come back in with 4 loads of blankets (the place is super expensive so I needed to plan accordingly). I handed him the change back and asked for my $20 and he said, no, this is your final warning. Actually, this was the first time I ever used his change machine. I told him that I have done hundreds of loads of laundry at Suds Out and he said that doesn't matter because I was making his life harder by getting change to use elsewhere - I wasn't. I intended to use the change to do my laundry. I told him this. I told him that he was being rude and that he had been rude to me several times in the past. He then held out his hand and demanded the change back. I said no, and said you just lost a loyal customer of many years, and as I was walking out he muttered maliciously, "Get the fxxx out and have a nice day." Previously, he got right in my face - inches away, and berated me about leaving dog hair in the machine, which I was cleaning already and offered to clean thoroughly, and he said no...then he bitched so loudly about it, ranting for more than ten minutes, that he made not just me, but the rest of the customers uncomfortable. Several came up to me and asked if I was ok because I was visibly shaken by the confrontation. Did I mention the place is SUPER EXPENSIVE? What a jerk.

I've never posted about a laundromat, but this is definitely a business worth visiting! It is a safe and welcoming environment in the neighborhood. The laundromat was exceptionally clean. All the machines were new and functioning. And then I met the owner to realize why the laundromat was so nice is that he is so nice.

When I came back, I unloaded the dryers, but couldn't find my two comforters. Until I looked around and found them in a 4th dryer. Apparently the owner saw them rolling around in tight balls, and knew they wouldn't dry, so he unwadded them and put them in another dryer to dry--no charge. I mean, this isn't something I would ever expect to happen, or assume might happen again. But this amazing act of kindness just sealed the deal for me. These guys are forever golden in my heart.
